cosmetically looks a bit on the cheap side, but performance wise its awesome, sounds great.

Good amp, but disappointed in the clean sound.

Title says it all. I like the amp and am keeping it. The super leads were generally known for one type of sound and the DSL follows that sound well. For classic sounds it can't replace a 1959 or a 2203 but it can come close enough in a pinch. For all the ranges of more distortion it sounds great. Clean sounds are a bit disappointing. Adding a little bit of gain to the clean to get that edge of breakup sound or a little bit of light gritty clean gets pretty strong on the lows. Flubby came to mind but I'm not sure that's how most people use it. You can get an ok clean sound but it's not that flexible. The strength of the amp is the distortion. I liked all 3 of the distortion settings. You can get some pretty decent dynamics from messing with your attack and guitar ... MoreTitle says it all. I like the amp and am keeping it. When it comes to guitar tone for me Marshall Amplification is what I come to, the huge iconic rock guitar sound that everyone knows and loves. I had my eyes stuck on a JCM800 or the JVM series of amps, however these ranges are very expensive and I could not just splash £2500 on a halfstack at the time.That is when I discovered the DSL range of amps, the best selling range to date. Not that good of a product

It overheats had replaced one bulb available problems with it what a good essay was general refund on it

Perfect Marshall Tone

I upgraded to the 100w head after having the 20w head for a while. Sings out with the typical Marshall tone you would expect for twice the money. Brilliant amp, no complaints about it at all!
