As the headphones are over ear type they weren't as light as earbuds but weren't too heavy and were comfortable to wear for long periods. The fit is good, and the size adjustment was very positive with no hint of slipping. The bluetooth connectivity was very simple to set up, and with the Marshall app I could quickly customise my listening experience. Typically, controls on headphones are difficult to manage, but on these headphones, the controls are simple and easy to use without interrupting your listening pleasure. The active noise cancelling was exceptional but being able to turn it on and off at a touch of a button was an excellent feature. The battery life on these headphones is impressive lasting for days if not weeks on a single charge. The USB-C to USB-C charging cable included with the headphones is too short and could have been longer to be more practical. With the sound quality, comfort and ease of use I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone.

I loaded up my favourite track for testing music, Moonlight Sonata Dubstep Remix and oh wow, the sound was breathtaking, the pianist's 1st to 3rd movement was euphoric. I cannot express how enjoyable this experience was through Marshall's top-quality headphones.I also tested the audio quality on work video calls, they are crystal clear. The noise-cancelling is similar quality to other brands where it cuts out most noises but struggles with high-pitch sounds. The only reservation I have is that wearing them for over 4 hours did start to pinch my ears where they started to get uncomfortable but that was purely for testing time on the head. The Marshall app is great and full of 10+ features with more customisability than I would use from standby timeout, battery preservation, what the buttons do, equaliser and the noise cancelling control and level. The battery is incredible, I've not charged them in a week and used them daily, still at 49%.They fold away easily with no bending to the cables so I'm not worried about the longevity based on the cable getting bent every time I take them out or put them away like other earphones do.Look - They look great, buttons on the earcups are easy to locate with a touch. Again black and gold, minimalist sleek look with a scaled-like surface matchi

- As expected from Marshall, the sound quality is top notch. They are truly noice cancelling but I also love the transparency mode which helps for when you're on the tube/train/bus and need to hear announcements. But also transparency mode means I feel safer wearing headphones when I'm out and about. As a women I feel very conscious that I need to be able to hear my surroundings whilst I'm walking down the street, but I don't want to have to give up the joy of listening to my music.- It has one dynamic button to do everything needed quickly (play, pause, volume and skip tracks). On my previous headphones different settings were on different buttons on both sides and I could never remember which side I needed for a particular action. The dynamic button on these headphones have made that so much easier! It then has a separate button to toggle between noise cancelling/transparency modes.- Usually over ear headphones are uncomfortable after a couple of hours wear but these have a worn in feeling that makes them incredibly comfortable for all day use. They're also really lightweight.- One of the main reasons why I never used over ear headphones was because of the bulky storing size. These swivel into a really compact size with a hard case. The case itself is also really nicely designed. It has a soft velvet lining to keep the headphones well protected. It also has a pouch to keep the charging cable and a cable to plug into your phone/laptop. And this may sound odd but even the zip on the case is well designed and high quality, with no chance of getting stuck or broken with regular use.- One of my favourite things may seem small but it makes for a really good user experience - the music pauses when you take off the headphones and then restarts when you put them back on, so you don't have to reach for the pause button quickly when you bump into someone you know or want to listen out for a quick tannoy.I really recommend these headphones - they're perfection.

I could here the plucks of the guitar strings, and melodies and soft instruments that I never even knew were in certain songs. And I was also able to keep the volume turned down and still feel all the impact of the music thanks to such a quiet sound stage. The headphones come with a nice hard carry case, that also holds an included C to C charging cable, and a USB C to 1/8" TRS headphone jack so you can plug these directly into your music player for even cleaner sound for those that don't like to use wireless compression. The headphones charged up in a couple of hours, and the battery life is up to 70 hours so you don't have to worry about them cutting off in the middle of your plane ride etc.. The Marshall app for your phone unlocks extra settings and EQ's and a user customizable EQ setting as well. The only downside I found with these is the fit, and that might just be something about my head. I found the headband kept trying to twist on my head due to the band having memory of being twisted to fit into the carry case. Also I found the earpieces to be rotated slightly to far back for my ears, but if I rotated them forward the band was over my forehead instead of the top of my head like it should be. I also found the clamping force to be to soft for using them while running, working out, doing chores, or otherwise moving around... if I looked up or down they would try to slide off my head. They work great when I sit at my desk, or in my chair etc... but I have a nice surround system and a nice speaker set up at my desk, so I don't really need headphones at those places, I'd much rather wear them while moving around but then I have to constantly adjust them and push them back into place... otherwise they would be perfect.
Headphones are a very subjective device. Everyone has different preferences for comfort, sound quality, performance, and then the simple matter is no two people have the same head shape, ear shape, and perceive things differently as well. However, I feel like the Marshall Monitor III ANC headphones are genuinely some of the best I’ve ever used. I was shocked at how compact they were when first opening the small hard case they came in, then followed that feeling with awe about how lightweight they are, and how comfortable they feel. I have worn them for many several hours long listening sessions now and each time I have felt zero fatigue or discomfort afterward even with my large head. I have worn them for many several hours long listening sessions now and each time I have felt zero fatigue or discomfort afterward even with my large head. They advertise an astonishing 70-100 hour battery life on a full charge, and that is absolutely true. I have yet to charge them once since pulling them out of the box the first time, and they started with 75% and still have 65% left after about 9 total hours of listening. Then, to top all of that off, they also produce a rich, full sound that makes you feel like you are at a concert. They are not the strongest with bass but still have enough to complete the soundstage, but everything is clear and precise and for much of the music I have listened to I feel like they add a complexity to the songs that make them sound better than ever. They do have built in microphones for phone calls which I am told sound clean and clear, and the A.N.C. is extremely good blocking out the vast majority of outside noise.Even the physical controls are well placed and intuitive, with one button just behind each ear cup, and a multi-toggle switch on the right side that is easy to use and understand. You press the toggle to play/pause, or answer a call, and push the toggle up or down for volume and forward or back to skip tracks. Then the button on the right can be customized for various shortcuts such as access to your virtual assistant on your phone, launching Spotify, or changing EQ settings on the fly. The button on the left toggles between the A.N.C. and transparency mode. They then have a single USB-C port on the bottom right for charging. They look and feel premium with a unique leather-like covering and gold Marshall badges on both sides resembling the classic designs on their guitar amps, and even the hard case is lined with a dark red felt reminiscent of a guitar case. The on/off and Bluetooth connection sound effects also have a guitar theme to them, completing the design language that pulls from Marshall’s rich heritage. I love how comfortable, easy to use, and light they are, and they sound amazing to my ears and the battery lasts an incredibly long time between charges. They are fantastic and I look forward to listening to as much music as I possibly can now that I have them around.
I had not heard of Marshall headphones up until recently. I only knew of the company from making amplifiers and sound equipment. I was curious how good the headphones would sound based upon the latest specs and features that other higher end headphones typically feature. When I unboxed the speakers, I immediately was impressed with the leather looking zip up case with the recognizable Marshall brand that I knew from the past. I found the setup process rather simple and intuitive. I liked that it had enough features to be able to be able to adjust the sound to your own personal preferences. It had some preset options available and also had other options to tweak how much ambient noise cancellation you wanted turned up on the headphones. I did notice that the default app for music was Spotify which I usually do not use but luckily when I was using it on my iPhone it triggered the Apple Music app instead which was perfect for my needs. I then repeated the process on my android phone and it was also very easy to setup and the app automatically used Apple music for me instead of the Spotify default music source which made me happy. I am glad the company made the application user-friendly and easy to customize.I went ahead and let the headphones fully charge after I got them set up and had some time to sample the wonderful sound quality they produced. I have already become a fan of the brand now that I know firsthand how great the quality of the headphones and materials used to make them are in person.I have been pleased with the headphones on my various devices and like that they can block out the noise around me when the television or other items are making a bunch of noise. I really appreciate the high-quality sound the headphones have produced so far and have become a fan of the Marshall headphones now.
So first, I want to state that I think this is a 4.5 star product, but I don't think that this deserves a 4 star rating. The main reason being the ANC, which I will delve into later. But overall, the Marshall Monitor III is a solid over the ear headphone that produces incredible sound on a large sounding sound stage with great highs, mids and a booming bass. Setting up the headphones was a little bit of a problem, I will chalk that up to being a brand new product and buggy firmware. When I first set up the headphones, the app bugged out during the pairing process so I had to force close the app and remove the bluetooth device from my iPhone and restart the whole process. When I first set up the headphones, the app bugged out during the pairing process so I had to force close the app and remove the bluetooth device from my iPhone and restart the whole process. Second time was a charm. Also after the first initial setup, the app had issues finding my headphones, but I haven't had that issue since after that. The sound quality on these headphones is quite impressive. For having the name "monitor" in the product, you would naturally expect a very flat, neutral response with high fidelity sound allowing you to hear every detail of the music you are listening to. Well I am glad to say that Marshall has stayed true to that name of "monitor" type headphones, and even the style themselves is reminiscent of a monitor style headphone you would use in a recording studio. But don't let the "flat" response turn you off. The app offers a customizable EQ which is extremely useful to balancing the sound to your ears. Besides the EQ feature, Marshall has something called a virtual soundstage which is meant to be a type of spatial audio competitor to Airpods. I really like this virtual sound stage feature, I set mine to a large room at 30% and it adds just enough depth and spatial awareness without being overbearing. The fact you can choose the room size and the percentage of how much it is mixed into your music is amazing, allowing you to fine tune the sound stage and give a much bigger presence to your music. Along with great audio quality, the battery life is phenomenal, 15 minutes of charge time will give you 10 hours of playback and you can listen to these for 60 hours with a full charge. Now the ANC.... I just don't think it is that great. I was on a flight from EWR-DXB recently and tried these out. The ANC was just OK. I had it on the maximum setting but could still hear the couple behind me having a full conversation! So then I popped in my Airpods Pro, and sad to say, but the ANC on those was much better than these. I am not saying the ANC is terrible, but for this price point and product, it should be better. It got the job done on the flight, but it left more to be desired. This is why I am knocking off half a star, it almost was a full star but... possibly better firmware can address it in the future, maybe not.All in all, these are fantastic sounding headphones, and if you are an audiophile, you will enjoy listening to music hours on end with them. They are very small and convenient for traveling with the included case, offer great battery life, a great app to customize the headphones, but the ANC leaves the heart wanting more.
I really like these Marshall Monitor III headphones. The headphones sound great and the noise canceling works well too. The headphones are very comfortable to wear and they feel secure on my head when moving around. The ear cushions are very soft and pillowy and completely cover my ears. They are also very comfortable to wear with glasses and don’t pinch or interfere with my glasses. The headphones have a solid construction, yet they feel very lightweight on my head and are easy to wear for long periods of time. They are also hinged to fold up compactly. They come with a nice, compact, zippered hard case. This case is great for travel and has a magnetic pocket to hold the usb c charging cable and stereo cable. The usb c charging cable is short, just under 9 inches long, but gets the job done. My only complaint with the Monitor III headphones is the usb c - 3.5mm stereo cable. First, the usb c connection means that you can’t use the audio cable unless the headphones are turned on. So, if the headphones aren’t charged up or on a long trip your battery runs out, you can’t just listen through the audio cable. The second and bigger issue is that the sound through the usb c cable is really crappy, quiet with a lot of static. The headphones do connect wirelessly quickly and easily to multiple devices. Marshall claims up to 70 hours of playtime and this seems believable since I’ve only charged them once in the week that I have been using them and even when I charged them they weren’t even fully depleted yet. There is a Marshall app which is not needed to use the headphones, but does have some useful features, like wireless firmware updates and some customization options. For example, there is an “M” button on the right ear that can be set to control Spotify, the graphic equalizer, voice assistant, or soundstage. I set mine to soundstage, which is a cool feature that virtually changes the size of the listening room, so you can make your music sound more like you are listening in a small room or a large concert hall or something in between. The app also has a graphic equalizer and you can have 2 presets. You can also use the app to make some adjustments to the noise canceling. Other useful features in the app control the level of battery preservation (like maximum battery charge and charging speed), standby timeout settings (like how long before they turn off when you take them off), and auto play/pause when you put on/take off the headphones. Overall, except for the usb c audio cable, these are really great over the ear, noise canceling headphones.
The Marshall Monitor III ANC headphone really live up to the iconic brand’s look and, most importantly, reputation for quality. Even starting out with the custom clam shell case that the headphones come in, it’s very “rock & roll”. With the nostalgic look and feel of the Marshall amps and a plush, red velvet interior to hold the headphones and cables. The headphones themselves also have that textured look and feel of the amps and one of the huge positive of this design is that it’s not going to show scratches the way something just plastic would.Speaking of cables, one nick against the Marshall Monitor III headphones is that it does NOT come with a 3.5mm audio jack for pass through listening on a plane, or anywhere else listening through a jack is necessary or ... The headphones themselves also have that textured look and feel of the amps and one of the huge positive of this design is that it’s not going to show scratches the way something just plastic would.Speaking of cables, one nick against the Marshall Monitor III headphones is that it does NOT come with a 3.5mm audio jack for pass through listening on a plane, or anywhere else listening through a jack is necessary or preferred. While it does come with a decent length USB-C to 3.5mm cable, in order to use it, the headphones must be powered on, whereas on other higher end headphones I own, the jack does indeed exist on the headphones and work without being powered on.Other than the lack of the 3.5mm jack though, I love everything about the Marshalls; the comfort is better than every other headphones I have ever owned; the pillows on your ears are super soft yet still give a really good seal. The length of the headband is just right. The overall lightness of the headphones really adds to the comfort over a long session of wearing. The battery life on the Marshall Monitor III’s is simply insane; 70 to 100 hours depending on your use of noise canceling is advertised, and I believe it. How often are you going to even be in a situation where you can’t recharge over the course of 3 to 4 days? I used these for a full week at work on and off and they were still going strong. I charged them up Friday night and then used them all weekend, where they really shined. This is where I need to talk about what I consider it’s best and most important feature, the Automatic Noise Canceling. I recently took the headphones to Buffalo Wild Wings where I watch my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings. Our local BWW has 40+ televisions with every NFL game and any other sports event all playing simultaneously, however they only have the audio for the Tennessee Titans as I live in Jackson, Tennessee. I put on the Marshall headphones, listen to the Vikings broadcast on IHeartRadio with the noise canceling enabled, and even at just 1/3rd volume, the game broadcast was crystal clear and the background noise was all but a dull, muffled murmur. I could not be more impressed. The main control for the headphones is a gold joystick on the right ear; up and down for volume, left and right for skipping forward and back through songs. In phone mode, push in on the button once to answer a call, or twice to reject it. You also have an ANC button which you can use to turn ANC on, off, or passthrough of ambient sound. Finally, there’s a “Marshall” M button which you can customize through the app for accessing Spotify, or your voice assistant, or the equalizer settings, or turn “Soundstage” mode on and off.Soundstage is an interesting feature where you adjust the room size from small to extra large, and the amount of the effect from 0 to 100 percent in 10 percent increments. The feature seems to adjust reverb and bass to where, yes, you actually feel like the music is being played in a different sized area; I personally find the Large size room set to 50% to be most pleasing to my ears, but it’s worth experimenting with. These are premium priced headphones, but you truly do get what you pay for here. If you do find that you need to use the USB-C to 3.5mm jack, just make sure they are charged up and it won’t be a problem. For all other uses though, these are absolutely outstanding headphones, whether you’re listening to talk radio, music, or talking on the phone using the integrated microphone. The Marshall Monitor III’s check all the boxes for me; superior noise canceling, Amazing, customizable sound, and stupendous comfort even when wearing for hours. I therefore give these an enthusiastic 5 star rating, and would recommend them to anyone who takes their music seriously.
The Marshall Monitor III A.N.C. In addition to the carrying case, they come with a USB-C to 3.5 mm (removable) audio cord and a very short USB-C charging cable. Note that there is no 3.5 mm port on these headphones. I don't know how much these weigh, but they feel extremely lightweight, which adds to the comfort no matter what I'm doing when I wear them. I wear these quite often when doing my household "chores" - and I set them to ANC (active noise cancelling) mode so I don't have to hear all of the noises and sounds of the household. No, I don't have kids :). I do the same when at the gym. When I wear these outside for my walks and such, I know I can switch to transparency mode to allow some of the outside sounds in. For me, this always feels safer when I am in the outside world - - I want to hear horns, etc. And I can make this change with just the tap of a button on the headphones. Using the ANC mode will use battery power more quickly than on transparency mode. Marshall states you can get 100 hours of listening on a charge when not using ANC, but 70 hours when using ANC.The controls on these are fairly simple to remember - there is a multidirectional control button to turn the headphones on and off, answer/end phone calls, adjust the volume, skip songs, etc. There is what they call the "M" button which is customizable from within their app. I have mine set to control Spotify - to open Spotify and then skip tracks. There are numerous other settings you can choose for that button. Speaking of the Marshall app, with this, you can adjust and set your own custom setting for the equalizer, adjust settings to extend the life of your battery as well as a few other settings to personalize your use of these headphones. These Marshall Monitor III A.N.C. Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones fill my head, my chest, my entire body with pure, crystal clear sound. The bass is incredible and the treble is perfect with the mids filling in the spaces with glorious full sound. I love these and I would 100% recommend these to anyone looking for absolutely incredible headphones. These are my find of a lifetime!
