It's all personal preference but this is a fantastic sounding amp with a good feature set that I plan on holding onto for a long time. Originally sounded a bit brittle but once the speaker was properly broken in that went away. Attenuator for practicing at lower volumes works well but you lose a bit of tone. Nice to have an effects loop also. Amp has been rock solid and it looks fantastic.

A real Marshall for a ridiculous price.

Thus amo is just great. It carries enough power to play in a stadium but you can also choose to play in a 5 or 10 watt modus ( which is also loud enough for club gigs ) . Since this is a single channel tube amp , it is the perfect pedal platform for all the pedal "freaks" out there. It also has an effects loop which lets you place the time based effects where they should be. I use the amp in the 4 cable method with my Line 6 POD HD500X , and it delivers perfectly without compromising the pure sound of the amp. You will not find anything better in this price range. I love it.

Looks the part, sounds great and is more than loud enough for a gig. I've spent years trying to get a vintage Marshall tone from loads of expensive amps and this is exactly the tone in my head. Takes pedals nicely too. Very happy

Great Amp For Great Price
6 November 2020

Fantastic for use in my home studio, great amp for the price, good dynamic range and lots of head room. Not for metal, but rather for jazz fusion, rock and blues. Good features like three stages of reduction on the power amp. Perfect platform for effects. Contains natural lamp compression. Very useful foot controller activating effect loops in which you can hook up reverb and delay and also gain boost. If you like a vintage sound then I highly recommend this product.

On footswitch two buttons (FX-loop and gain boost), and two LED indicators. When use footswitch pull sistem on gain knob is disable. In all these amp is very good, possible to choise different sounds with classic marshall tone! The main - these amp havent hi-gain, and if you play metal or any hard stile, better take look on enother model, or using distortion pedals. Sound of these amp its classic rock, hardrock and not bad clean sound.

Great value amp!
6 October 2021

I hate the word "pedal amp" but if you like the classic Marshall sound with out fx this amp is great for you. You can push it with a nice overdrive pedal (Tubescreamer,...). You also can play metal with this amp! Dont expect a gainy amp like a 5150 or a Mesa. But this amp delivers some sweet tones from country, blues, rock, metal you name this amp can do it! Pair it with a nice speaker cab and you got yourself a nice rig. Great value for a great price well done Marshall ;) 10/10

I bought this Marshall as
17 December 2021

I bought this Marshall as an upgrade to a solid state amp I already own with built in effects and the difference between the two is night and day. This tube amp sounds richer and more organic. When tested up with my effects board it surpasses anything my solid state practice amp can do. I love it, it sounds like the amps rock and roll was created on, fantastic value for the money. Highly recommended!

Marshall Origin 50C

Good bit of gear, does exactly what I'd hoped for, ie sound like an old Marshall. Works very well with my pedalboard, which contains a few drive/boost & fuzz pedals.Sounds a bit thin in isolation, but works really well in a live band mix.Having the option to use 5, 10 or the full 50w output useful for if you are playing mic'd on a quiet stage or unmic'd. Easily loud enough for large ish gigs unmic'd.Gigged twice so far, once mic'd & once unmic'd. got very good feedback from the sound engineer on the overall tone when mic'd.Pairs really well with my Orange 1x12 cab (vintage 30 speaker.Decent amp for a good price

Review of Marshall Origin 50w All Valve Amp Combo
23 December 2018

Can't believe how good this thing is for the price point. I've had a TSL-120 for years but recently I've been using more pedals and ended up just using the clean channel. The Origin 50C has that classic Marshall valve crunch without there modern high gain sound. Stick a OD-3 or SD-1 in front of it and it just sings, with heaps of head room. The HT voltage attenuation also works surprisingly well and to top to all it looks so cool!

Review of Marshall Origin ORI50C 50 Watt Combo
11 June 2019

Gorgeous looking and great sounding amp. Low/medium/high power options allows quiet practice through to loud performance. Gain boost and FX loop works nicely with footpedal. Needs FX pedals to get best tones though. Gain sounds lovely but only really kicks in at high volume. Presence and trim knobs allow careful adjustment of tone.
