The Martin OM-28 embodies many of the characteristics seen in their pre-war era guitars. It essentially shares all the attributes of the OM-28E Retro model, minus the electronic components. The Sitka spruce top is treated with aging toner and a polished gloss finish, featuring scalloped X bracing. The East Indian rosewood body boasts a polished gloss finish and is accented with ivoroid binding. The neck design, reminiscent of the 000-18, incorporates a modified low oval profile with a performing artist taper. It offers comfortable playability with a 1-3/4" nut width and 2-3/16" string spacing. The headstock features nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs, complemented by a rosewood head plate.
