Star Lord is extremely powerful, but at great risk! He deals himself extra encounter cards to do incredible things. But once the Villain Phase comes around, you better be prepared to cope with all those extra encounter cards! He feels very unique, but a bit more complex. A great character, but maybe better for more experienced players.

It's fun packed in a box. It's like D&D turned into in a board game, with cards instead of dice and DM. Takes time to unbox and set up (huge amount of token and cards), but this is fun too. Quality of parts is top notch. Gameplay is amazingly designed. You can choose how much you role play, but you can definitively role play if you want. Feels like a campaign setting for D&D.

Star Lord is thematic, he’s reckless, he causes a lot of his own problems, and he’s a surprisingly good leader, and they translated that perfectly to his hero pack. His abilities all just work for his character, and the cards he adds for other aerial characters are fun and thematic, he also brings new leadership allies that work well for guardians themed teams or otherwise.

This deck feels like the comic book hero. Managing risk vs. reward to set up a big turn with all your allies on board is fun. Can feel a little swingy at first if the initial card draw isn't great. Played pure solo one-handed. Have had rounds where I lost within a couple of turns where it felt like the loss was inevitable.
My first guardians pack. Plays very much like Star-Lord would. Risk-taking, quick paced. Lot of fun and can't wait to pair with other Guardians.
Starlord is a great hero with a great risk and reward mechanic as well as so great cards. A lot of his kit involves you dealing yourself face down encounter cards and then gaining some benefit from that like enough damage on a sliding shot to take out an entire villain phase. +Dive bomb
I really enjoy playing with Star Lord. His special ability opens a wide array of options for Leadership players. In particular, pairing Star Lord with Avengers allies allows players to take advantage of both Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy upgrades and supports. Carefully build, Star Lord can have 7 allies on the field at once!
This game went from my favorite of all time to the worst cooperative game I've ever played with the Galaxy's Most Wanted campaign expansion. This character didn't save it.
This deck captures the risk vs reward nature of Star-Lord. You can get in over your head but you just might come out ahead. Either way, you'll have fun! The pre-built leadership deck adds a lot of new interesting cards for deck-building while also setting you up to lead the Guardians as Star-Lord.Highly recommended if you like the character, if you want a more unique playstyle, or if you want to expand your deck-building options.
Star-Lord is a fun character to play as long as you're in for the risk reward nature of the way he plays. He's got some cool tricks up his sleeves, but to each their own if they like playing him or not. His pack really shines by providing a lot of aspect cards to help out guardian tribal decks that he can utilize really well.
