My 3 is based solely on price. I love the figure it’s a great sculpt with awesome articulation. The VHS box packaging is phenomenal. But for the price, two extra hands were the only accessories.Comparably the Black Widow that recently came out is the same price and comes with 3 head sculpts, multiple hand sets, multiple weapons, and multiple effects.I would 100% buy this again, but I would prefer a retro card back at regular legends pricing.

Great-looking figure, but lacking in quality in several respects. The paintwork was ragged at the edges in multiple places, most obviously under the chin. This cheap new gummy plastic Hasbro is using makes it very easy to tear a joint or limb if you aren't careful. I had to use a hairdryer to heat up his elbow so I could bend it the first time without tearing it. Also, why is Hasbro charging more than the price of a standard Legends figure for one that uses less packaging and doesn't even come with a BAF piece? Lastly, the new plastic-free packaging feels cheap and is a pain to get into. If Hasbro insists on not using plastic, why not just tie the figure down like their newer GI Joe Classified figures?

Ankle broke from normal posing after a month. (Is Hasbro using different quality plastic?) Decided to order another one because the sculpt is amazing. (Warmed up the legs this time.) Kinda sucks it's a Hasbro Exclusive meaning I paid about $37 to get him the second time. Decided to reach out to Customer Service. They were friendly, apologized, and sent me an Iron Man Model 70. While I appreciate it, I would have preferred a replacement boot which I could have swapped on myself. Now I have one perfect Cyclops and one without a foot. Will find a replacement boot at some point in the future. Aside from the break, it's a great figure.
I missed out on cyclops from the Warlock BAF wave and the the love triangle three pack so this was a great addition to my collection. Cyclops was my favorite X-Men growing up so I couldn’t pass up on this. A lot of people don’t really like the cel shading but me personally I love it. It’s all personal preference. I think it’s a must get if you’re a Cyclops fan and you missed out on previous ones like myself. I would also pick up the Jean Grey figure too if you don’t have one. They look great together.
Fantastic figure all around. I think the VHS series of figures are very cool, and the box is better to display than a lot of Hasbro's new plastic free packaging. None of the joint's are weird or overly stiff. Very snappy and stable. The only real issue is the lack of any sort of optic blast accessories. The figure is being held back from greatness by not having any, and that dinky smoke effect from Hasbro's upcoming Astonishing Cyclops doesn't count either.
Good figure but the way the visor is made is that its a soft plastic piece wrapped over the face and the red part is harder plastic underneath and I think it's part of the head itself. Regardless, the yellow visor slit is warped and so it looks uneven and lower quality because that area should be a tight perfect rectangle but on mine it's bent near the edge - I tried to fix it with a heat gun to soften the plastic and reposition it but it's only marginally better. So be aware that the head may not be perfect but otherwise it's a great figure. I used Goof-Off (a cleaning solution, but be careful it will melt the plastic if you leave it on too long) to remove the cell shading effect.
To date this is by far the best Cyclops figure we’ve gotten, period. This figure stands leaps and bounds above any previous version Hasbro has released and even other more premium brands for that matter. Articulation is sublime, so one can really get the figure into all kinds of dynamic poses without issue. Build quality is what we’ve all come to expect, not perfect but incredible for the price. Paint apps on mine were flawless, I love the cell shading, while it may not be the best implementation of cell shading I can really appreciate the extra effort taken to add some depth and contrast to a figure that is otherwise only two colours. I couldn’t stop admiring the details. It’s like this figure was plucked straight out of the comics and cartoon. This is the definitive version of Cyclops and it’s great to see this character finally receive some love. It’s a must have must own must buy! The box art was beautiful, if Hasbro is gonna insist on plastic free packaging, this is certainly the best way to go. I hope we get more VHS style characters in this line because it’s probably my favourite line of marvel legends to date.
The cell shading might not be for everyone, but this time around I think they did a pretty good job. I'm going for the 90s animated vibe, and love not only the figure but the box art/packaging as well. I've never displayed "packaging before," and I love the way it looks with all my others "VHS boxes." Articulation is great and my only gripe is wishing it had a different head sculpt with an angry face or without the visor and with his glasses instead. Overall, I'm satisfied!
This is a well executed figure overall, especially if you're into the cel shaded style. The ankle plastic is weak. The peg broke on the right foot rotation because there's too much resistance and the peg is is not rigid enough. Felt the same on three copies, and I'm usually very careful with my figures. Aside from quality control, the figure is the best representation of Cyclops based on Jim Lee's design we've gotten in the entire line. Great proportions, articulation, and sculpt.
