Didn't play the previous version so I don't have anything to compare this one to, but I can tell that I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I received it with the PS5 and spent hours and hours playing it. I loved swinging through NYC and seeing the beautiful visuals of this game. I feel like the controls were fairly easy to get used to, and combat is a ton of fun. The story is short and there isn't a whole lot of replay value, but I still think the game is worth the money. If you can, play this on a 4k TV. The visuals are awesome. I'm an avid gamer and pretty critical of games I play. I read enjoyed this one though. Definitely recommend for anyone of all ages.

The game feels well polished and I didn't run into any bugs that I can remember. The only thing I wish they could have added, and maybe this is more on Sony's end, I wish you could customize the strength of the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the Dualsense controller. When they advertised the game they often talked about how you could "feel the charge up Miles's venom power in the controller" but I never once noticed the haptics while playing.Overall I really enjoyed the game. It's fun and I liked the story. It manages to make itself stand out when compared to the Spider-Man PS4. If you were a fan of that game then I would definitely recommend this to you. I can't wait to see what they can do with a sequel. 5 out of 5 stars.

Miles Morales, the new spidey on the block, makes his grand debut in the sequel to Marvel's Spiderman. Albeit a lot shorter compared to its predecessor, Miles Morales had me engaged with the story and characters all thought-out the game. The gameplay is very similar to the first game with new powers and gadgets exclusive to Miles that really make him stand out compared to Peter. However, this did feel more like a standalone DLC for the original game. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales may come up a bit short lengthwise, but the story, characters, and gameplay more than makeup for that. Not to mention there are still a bunch of side quests and a New Game + that will keep you playing once your finished.

2021 is a glorious time to be a retired, senior gamer. I haven't been this excited since they released Matlock on DVD. Now if they would just come out with a good game that makes me a contestant on The Price is Right, my life will be complete. The Spider Man game looks great. I'll spare you the tecno-babble and just come right out and say it...this game looks better than Milton Berle in a speedo-style swimsuit. Hubba Hubba. Oh yeah, y'all don't know nothin. To all the millennials who think that old folk don't know how to party...You obviously haven't seen me consume a half pound of raw hamburger meat and chase it down with an entire bag of butterscotch candy. That's when I put on the old disco records and do the Kung Fu Bump until 9:30pm - a full hour after my normal bedtime. But y'all don't know nothin. About the only thing that me and these whippersnappers agree on is that Walmart Customer Support is terrible. It is that common bond only that keeps me from whompin them upside the head with my purse. In closing, Spider Man game is great, Walmart Customer Service stinks.......and you ready for it?!!....y'all don't know nothin!

Ever since I was young, I’ve played Nintendo games. Mario, Link, and Tom Nook are some super recognizable characters to me. But, I recently got a PS5, and Miles Morales with it. This was one of my first non-Nintendo games, and I love it. The storyline is amazing, and I won’t spoil it, because it’s such a rich story, and it seems real sometimes. Miles, Uncle Aaron, and Ganke feel like real people, even though they’re fictional characters. The decisions Miles makes in the game feel real. He has to make big decisions, and I really like what they did with his reactions. Moving on to gameplay, it’s very confusing, but you get used to it. Best Superhero Game Out There
9 July 2022

This is the best Superhero game I've ever played. It's awesome. The graphics are great, the story is great, swinging through New York is awesome, load times are almost instant and never had the game crash. I got the ultimate launch edition so I could play the remastered version of the first game. I can't compare the ps4 version to the ps5 remaster since I never played the original but the ps5 remaster ran very well and was definitely worth the extra $20. Spider Man Miles Morales pretty much takes everything good the first game does and adds some new mechanics which work very well. I'd highly recommend this game to anyone.

Great game but a little short
14 April 2021

The first Spiderman game on the PS4 is one of my favorite games so this purchase was an obvious one for me. The Ultimate Edition also contains a remastered version for the first game and adds raytracing and 60fps options, and also changes the face of Peter Parker "to fit the voice better" (lots of differing opinion on this but I didn't really care too much). The Miles Morales game is pretty much the first game with minor improvements to gadgets and combat, and the addition of your electric abilities. The story is great and engaging and really feels like they went with a "don't fix what's not broken approach." My only complaint with this game is that it is too short. As fun as the game is, I can't confidently recommend the base game at full price. The Ultimate Edition I think is fairly priced however, since you are getting a full remastered version of the first game as well (which has plenty of content). So overall, great game but I think you should buy the Ultimate Edition (especially if you haven't played the first game yet), unless the base game is on sale around $20-30.

Miles brings his own experience to the table.
6 May 2022

I am a huge fan of Spider-Man. I played the first insomniac title on the PS4 Pro, and again on my PS5.Miles Morales might be viewed as a smaller game in comparison, and to be fair it is shorter, and has less overall activities when in direct comparison. However that really shouldn't prevent a fan from jumping into this game. The characters, and the story is great. Going from the Peter Parker's Spider-Man to Miles Morales comes with a very familiar feeling, but with all of the changes that set him apart, he brings a plethora of his own abilities to make the experience fresh. If you enjoyed the original, this is more of that, and then some. Looking forward to the Sequel.

I justified purchase as Miles Morales is a shorter game than original Spider-man game. So if you think Miles Morales is worth $50 than $20 for remastered Spider-Man with all DLC and you have a deal. I used $30 of Bestbuy rewards so only paid $40 so not a bad deal. Remastered Spider-man also has a cross-save option. So Since I had a gamesave of Spider-man on PS4 it carried over into PS5 version. This process took awhile but worth it. Since I earned a platinum trophy on PS4, after save data transfer I received a platinum trophy for remastered Spider-man immediately after loading save file.Insomniac Games Studios are wizards when it comes to open world games. Makers of Spider-Man Series, Ratchet and Clank series, Resistance Series, Spyro Series, Sunset Overdrive and now Marvel's Wolverine.Miles-Morales improved and built off of the original Spider-man game. They trimmed the fat off most of the annoying and tedious side quest missions of the first game. The game looks great and is a showcase for your new PS5. Miles's new electricity powers and improved combo system makes Miles more enjoyable to play than OG Spider-man. Story is well written, with appropriate culture mixed in the game. Loved the new storyline. New York in winter looks great with snow particle effects looking amazing and adding to realism of game graphics. Super fast loading times, almost none existent loading. Worth the purchase.Overall great purchase
