Love this bowl. Good size and quality. Light weight. It came well packaged in bubble wrap. No cracks or chips.

Beautiful, sturdy bowl that nests perfectly with my other Mason Cash cane bowls! I was impressed that it arrived in perfectly safe condition, without a single mark. It was wrapped quite well! (I have had Mason Cash bowls arrive shattered and/or chipped from other vendors, so I was concerned about this one.) These bowls are a joy to work with, and look nice on my countertop.

This is a time proven design. This item was a replacement for a cracked vintage bowl of the same type. I've been using this brand of bowls about 40 years. They are more substantial than most bowls, very good for mixing and rising bread, hand mixing stuffing, shortbread or other things like meatloaf. They are a pleasure to use. This was packed well and received without any chips or cracks. I only use a stick mixer or hand cranked mixer on these and store with spacers. If you need an extremely rugged bowl to use with rough or commercial style mixer and knock around, go wth metal. For anything else these are the ones. Your hands will like the grippy rim and they have just the right contour for spoons and spatulas.

Carefully Handled

I was so impressed with how this was packaged. After reading reviews on other sites where this can be purchased and hearing how many others received the bowl broken I was a bit nervous. I ordered from target because of the hassle free return policy - in case I received it broken. Nope there was no chance of this breaking! Whoever packaged this bowl took great care which I very much appreciate. The bowl was in perfect condition and ready to be wrapped for a Christmas gift! Love how sturdy it is and of course it’s just like the one seen on the GBB, may be ordering one for myself!

Chips and cracks easily, not worth the money!

Don’t waste your money on these cheap quality bowls!I had always coveted the Mason Cash bowls since growing up watching my grandma and mom use these bowls. I received the larger and medium sized bowls for Christmas and was excited, I treat these bowls like gold. Washed them as soon as I was done using them, not stacking other bowls inside, I babied these bowls. Within a couple of months, both bowls had chips around the rims. I was excepting something of quality like my pottery Denby plates/ bowls which have held up beautifully over the years. Needless to say the medium sized bowl cracked down the middle and broke within the first year from being ‘dinged’ In sink. My larger bowl is now cracked down the side and I’m just trying to make it work, since I’m so sad it’s ... MoreDon’t waste your money on these cheap quality bowls!I had always coveted the Mason Cash bowls since growing up watching my grandma and mom use these bowls. Decline of quality
27 May 2021

I bought this Mason and Cash Co bowl to replace one that I chipped. My first set of 3 bowls was purchased in the 1990's and was of high quality. I replaced the middle size a few years back and found it was thinner than the originals, but still matching the "Cane" set. This one does not have the same colour and definition as the others. It also has a label stuck on the bottom that seems to indicate the Original Mason and Cash Co has been bought out and is under new ownership. That might explain the decline.

Good sturdy baking bowl.

This has been a great buy. I’m used to using a plastic bowl, but I’ve only recently started using a hand mixer when making cakes and needed something a bit sturdier. I’m really surprised at the quality for the price. So far it’s been great and a perfect size for mixing.

Great mixing bowl

Fabulous thick sturdy bowl. I usually double recipes and I’ve had no issue with the size of dough or ingredients easily being able to be mixed in this bowl.Lovely look to it. Very happy with this purchase.

Just not the same
1 October 2019

I bought this bowl to replace one I was given years ago by mother-in-law that I dropped and broke. The quality is just not the same. The new is much lighter in weight, seems to have thinner sides and base, the color is not the same (it doesn’t match the other smaller bowls from the original set). This may be because the bowls are no longer made in England so the process is mostly likely different. I think they are made in Portugal. As far as mixing bowls go, it is good but just not as good of quality as the original.

Mason Chef Bowls the same quality as always.
13 November 2019

My wife has had two sizes of Mason Cash bowls originally made in England for 40+ years. Just recently she accidentally dropped the smaller bowl and it shattered into many pieces. She was devastated! So I immediately googled Mason Cash and lo and behold they are still made in Portugal, are of similar quality and are sold by Bed Bath and Beyond! So we ordered two sizes to complete the set of 3. She has since used the new bowls and states they feel the same and are essentially the same in mixing, microwaving and most importantly of all in making chocolate chip cookies. We are very pleased with them.
