Broke after three uses
The biggest reason I bought this lock was the size. The lockers at our pool have really deep, but very narrow handles where the locks go, so very few locks can fit. After swimming, I found myself standing in my wet bathing suit and towel, and now this lock has stopped working. I could feel the bottom tumbler was not moving smoothly. I almost had to go home with a friend shoeless, wet and cold, without keys, phone, etc. Fortunately, the gym had bolt cutters and popped right through this one easily. What ever happend to the quality Master Lock is known for? No more, I guess.... Show more

Do NOT buy!
I owned a wordlock several years ago, and never had an issue with it. So I bought this one. What a mistake that was! I used it one week, and the lock wouldn’t open, while at the gym. Everything was in that locker – my house keys, my car keys, my ID, my change of clothing, etc. I had to get a maintenance man to cut the lock off.The only good things I can say about this word lock is that it looks nice, and the maintenance man had trouble cutting it off. Save your money, and buy one that has a key as a back up plan (which defeats the purpose of not wanting to carry a key into the pool or gym), or just get a regular lock. Buyer beware!Beyond disappointed with this product!... Show more

Don’t buy this!!
Bought this Saturday September 3 for my son and day two it wouldn’t open. Multiple teachers tried helping and it wouldn’t open. I can’t even return it because the school threw it out. Pretty upset I absolutely threw away money for this piece of junk. If there is a way Canadian Tire would at least refund me id be happier but I highly doubt it.... Show more

Good lock, but...
I have had this lock for months. Previously I had a similar model with numbers vice words. The shackle is a great size to fit just about any locker or box that I have encountered. HOWEVER, the code was able to reset between opening it yesterday morning, tossing it into a pocket in my duffel, and then locking the lock this morning. I had to have it cut off the locker this morning to again access my stuff and not be late for work. DISAPPOINTED. I hope you know to ensure the lock is closed before and after use.... Show more

Nice to not need keys.
These are great for the locker rooms at pools and gyms. You don't have to carry a key, and your kids can get into the locker without you if they need to.A word is much easier to remember than a combination. They're not super thick/heavy locks, so i wouldn't use them for locking up really high value items in places that are unattended (garage, shed, etc).... Password stopped working
This is rubbish. Bought approx 1 month ago and worked for a few weeks then the password stopped working. Not sure if it spun around and magically reset itself (that's the only reason I can imagine) but then if it can do that without your attention, it's pretty rubbish. Now I've got buy bolt cutters...... Show more

Poor design
This lock is poorly designed. The locking side of the shackle only goes into the body a few millimeters, which doesnt feel super secure. My biggest issue is that its very easy to accidently reset the code while removing it from whatever youre trying to secure. This happened to me, but luckily i hadnt scrambled the code too much, so i was able to figure it out and get it open again. Definitely would not recommend.... Show more

Poor quality Material
I bought this lock but do not trust it for the use at the gym. The poor quality is evident as soon as you unpack it. LOWES needs to find a few other manufacture this one has a significant decrease in quality. Only nice thing is the variety of letters on each rung gives many word options... Show more

Rec Center maintenance had to cut off
How embarrassing. I bought this for my wife. She used it a few times without an issue. I was going to take my son to swim at our rec center and wanted to use the lock. Tested it twice beforehand. No problem. Locked our locker with it today and it would not unlock at all. My keys, cards, phone were all in the locker. Same code word didnt do a thing. Had to ask the desk for assistance. The nice maintenance man used his bolt cutters to remove it for us…on our first day back at the rec center this year. What a pain.... Show more

Thinner than a standard combination lock
I like that you can make your own word combinations. Mine Withstood a treacherous and gusty Los Angeles windy Santa Ana season our in a dusty dirt pasture and didn’t get dirt blown into its little crevices— I loved it so much that this is my second lock. I noticed that my second lock didn’t seem to be as hardy so let’s give it time and I’ll update this. We don’t get rain in California and very little snow, so can’t help there as far as rust and stuff. But it has done its job with my sheep playing and gnawing on it occasionally and survived the scorching Los Angeles summer.... Show more
