The Masterbuilt Portable Charcoal Grill is in a league all of its own. First off, putting it together was very simple and effective. The cart adds a nice touch to an already stupendous grill. It is exactly the type of grill made for tailgating and camping. It's the great taste of a charcoal grill without the hassle of loading up the huge grill or cheap small ones. The dial helps regulate the temp of the inner, and the hopper holds between a pound and 1 1/2 pounds of charcoal for up to 4 hours of use. I have used it serveral time now, and can say without a doubt, it is the best one I have used. I highly recommend this beautiful product for all occasions from family bbq to tailgating to camping. You will not be disappointed.

I received this grill recently to try and have been pleasantly surprised by it. It looks good, the QuickCollapse cart works great and is much more sturdy then I expected. Compared to other grills I have used in the past it is one of the stronger feeling and more durable grills that I've used. Typically portable grills are just convenience items and the quality isn't really there. That isn't the case with Masterbuilt.It's easy to maintain the right temperature for food with the SteadyTemp dial, there are shelves for your utensils or seasonings to keep next to the grill while you're using it. The cooking, so far, is 5*. And typical Masterbuild 5* heavy build. Temperature snd smoke control are learning curves but still 4*.The most serious down side is re-lighting the charcoal if needed during a cook. There is no access to the fire starter chamber without removing the charcoal hopper which will be too hot to touch.The second issue is cleaning the body liner which is loose enough to lift out - if it wasn't hard wired to the temperature probe. I expected better engineering from Masterbuild.

This portable grill is great for grilling at the park or camping! I got it at the end of football season and I can't wait to use it for tailgating in the fall! It's lightweight and folds up compactly: I can easily lift it myself and it fits nicely in the back of our SVU. I really love the locking lid! You can close up the grill and move it around or pack it up without having to dump the ashes first. The grates look like they're coated steel and are simple to clean off with a bristle brush. I've not had any trouble with food sticking or corrosion so far. The grill strikes a good balance between compactness and grilling capacity: I can easily grill up 4-5 burgers and brats at the same time. I'm really looking forward to tailgating!
This little grill is exactly what I needed even if I didn't know it. It's so convenient for tailgating or even short camp nights where you don't want to/can't have a cooking fire pit. The ability to run the fan off of batteries or AC power is very well thought out. There was a bit of a learning curve for me with said fan and learning what setting is best for what temp. On that subject, don't get confused when you turn the dial and the fan doesn't speed up or slow down. Think of it as more of a temp control rather than a fan control. Also, it took me a few times of folding and unfolding the grill before I could do it without it snagging on parts of the frame that it shouldn't have. But you get used to it eventually. Overall I really enjoy this little grill.

This grill is absolutely perfect in every way for the home, tailgating event, or the great outdoors. It's so versatile it can handle literally any task big or small. It has wheels and has a handle to make pulling it on its wheels a breeze to any location. It uses charcoal for fuel but is regulated by a fan so it's as simple as lighting setting temp control and walk away letting the grill do its thing. It comes with a power cord for 110 at home or where electricity is available or can operate on 4 AAA batteries for Supreme versatility. The included hopper varies as to weather you choose to use lump charcoal or briquettes i had a longer cooking session using briquettes. All i can say is this thing is awesome

I really like this grill. I like that this is very portable and I can take this anywhere. I really like all the features this has as well! Usually charcoal is messy and hard to get even heat all while cooking. This grill changes the game with the charcoal case, battery operated fan that helps circulate the heat. I am glad I don't have to worry about lighter fluid for this as well. The only downside to this grill is the cleanup process. This does have about 4 parts to take out and clean if you try and clean it after each use. Overall I will continue to use this and have already tossed my old charcoal grill.

Use a starter that then ignites the charcoal. It has a control knob that controls a fan making the charcoal burn hotter. What makes this great is that the heat from the charcoal is blown though a chamber and thus heats the grill. You get the charcoal smell and flavor which I love but use far less actual charcoal and have greater control of the heat with no flare ups. This design makes clean up really easy as well. Speaking of portable, the fan is controlled by either 4 AA batteries or an AC plug. They even thought to put a cover over the place where the plug goes into the grill. I used batteries to test the portable capabilities and in 2 hours they powered the fan at a constant speed from beginning to end. I can’t speak highly enough of this grill. I plan to use it at home but really like that I can take it camping or the beach or just wheel it to the driveway for a neighbor night without the need of 4 people to help!
