It’s so much more convenient with the flip cap and the wide lip allows those of us with clumsy fingers to easily open/flip the lid. I also appreciate the larger holes once opened. It means I can pour a fair amount, without taking too long. I also like the clear label on the front as well as the label on top of the lid-this makes things a lot easier to grab instead of sifting through my huge/disorganised box pulling out a-hundred or so other herb bottles.

There was something missing in a recipe and I added some of the Tuscan blend and it made the dish come to life. My partner even commented that it was the best one yet. The flip cap was so handy when you are rushing around the kitchen with only one clean hand because you can flip it with your thumb. I have the Cajun spice blend also and the labels are large enough not to get mixed up. Perfect to add to your scrambled eggs too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] I was so excited to be given the opportunity to try Masterfoods Tuscan Blend. It's a unique blend of salt, sugar, garlic, pepper, rosemary, and parsley. I used it on lamb chops on my Weber q and loved the flavour if gave them. The sugar gave them a morish slightly sweet flavour and the other herbs balanced out nicely. The flip top lid was easy to use and the large holes enabled quick coverage of the meat. I do wonder how long the plastic hinge on the flip lidxwill last before it break and leaves the herbs exposed though. This will be my new go to herb mix for bbqing as it was an instant hit with all. I'm going to use it on roast chicken, lamb and vegetables next as I'm sure that will be equally as good.

Masterfoods tasty Tuscan Blend

Perfect

The product name is clear with a full band of colour behind the name which makes it easier to see in the pantry. The safety sealed twist lid makes it easy to remove the safety seal that is over the jar lid inside. The new flip lid is so much better than unscrewing the cap when using the product and the holes to sprinkle the product is good with the small centre hole now removed. The spice/herb blend information under the label name is a great addition. The product name on top of the lid is also a bonus.

Sugar & Salt Addition Unnecessary

I was gifted a voucher by Social Soup in order to purchase Masterfoods Tuscan Blend. Easily spotted on the store shelf at my local supermarket, this Tuscan Blend was packaged in recyclable glass, sealed with a non-recyclable foil seal and a handy but non-recyclable pop-top plastic lid which had a 5 hole section for easy sprinkling.The ingredients surprised me as the list included sugar and salt! I wasn’t pleased to read that on the label. I try to avoid both of those. The other ingredients were garlic, vegetable oil, pepper, rosemary and parsley. The ingredients had been sourced from ‘multiple origins’ (which is very uninformative) and then blended and packed in Australia.The label suggested using the blend with chicken, beef or vegetables. I sprinkled it on the top of some pork chops and cooked them in the oven. The result was a mild but pleasant addition to the pork flavour that the whole family enjoyed. I would be happy to use the product again but I wouldn’t buy another jar. I don’t think the flavour was exciting enough to make me want to rebuy and I certainly wouldn’t want to with it containing sugar and salt!So a nice addition to my meal, but not a winner overall. Good price at $3.50 and a very long Best Before date though.

Yummy in a jar!

I was given this blend to try and it was definitely worth it. A really simple yet tasty blend with a scent of rosemary that went really well with my chicken casserole. I can imagine this would be delicious on roast vegetables or even a slow cooked lamb shoulder! I enjoy these flavour blends because it saves me the time and money buying separate herbs and spices and the convenience of the flip top cap makes adding a bit extra to dinner so much easier.
