The packaging looks so good and is very fitting for this high-quality figure. The battle cat's armor (helmet and saddle) both have a smooth finish and are easy to add or remove. The level of detail in the fur and the articulation of the battle cat are the most awesome part, though. You can really get creative with the dynamic poses that are possible thanks to the joints and twisting legs. The tilting head and jaw are great, too! My son and his father really like to play with this toy during their action figure play sessions. Whether you're buying to play with, for a collection, or for figure photography, this would be a great addition to your collection.

We have an 8 year old son who loves to play with cars, animals, bad guys, and video game/tv characters. As parents that grew up watching Masters of the Universe, we were so thrilled for him to get the Masters of the Universe® Origins Battle Cat® Action Figure! We have a lot of the old action figures so we have all really enjoyed the fun (and nostalgic) playtime.The best and coolest thing about Battle Cat is the articulation in his upper legs, knees, neck, and his head. Plus, we have found a large array of figures that can fit in the saddle which makes battletime even cooler!Overall, our family is really loving Battle Cat and would recommend it to anyone to play with, including those who fondly remember playing with Masters of the Universe toys as a kid. * We did receive this toy for free in exchange for an honest review as part of the Mattel Play, Rate & Review Program. We are definitely going to buy Beast Man and Skeleton so they can join in with some of our old MOTU figures and we can orchestrate some awesome battles as a family!

I like the updated articulation. The original battle cat had no articulation. This is an excellent addition to my collection. The box with cover art had some creases due to shipping (not Targets fault). Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I have been a huge He-Man fan for 25 years. The battle cat figure brought me back to my childhood. The figure looks great on its own. Its head moves up-down and left-right. My son likes this action figure and he started watching the He-Man series to know more about the battle cat. Beastman was one of my favorite toys from childhood even though my brother and I had many of the figures from the masters of the universe. Even though this has the different joints, it reminds me of those good times and actually can be posed better to look cool on the shelf. These retro play figures are really nice, especially if you remember the ones from 84. More vivid color, with improvement on the joints no rubber parts that fail like the old ones.
My 9 year old son is really having a great time with his new battle cat toy! He plays this toy and using his imagination to play with his others toys as different characters. The battle cat is great in size and color. It has flexible head, tail, mouth and all four legs. The shield can come off and easy to put back on the cat. My husband was really excited to see the remake of the battle cat. He said, next time have the He Man with it and Skeletor :)
I'm really happy to have an articulated Panthor. And it does seem durable, and entertaining...and I would recommend it. However, the fact that the paws are not poseable at the lowest joint is pretty ridiculous. There is a level of improvement with the details of the face. But with the limitations of poses - due to this small, but massive oversight of the paw joint - I like the pose of the original Panthor better. The original Panthor is not articulated, but instead has a massive S-Curve (long-line-of-the-pose) running the entire length of his body ~ and is then echoed in the shape of the tail. Thank you, Mattel, for making a new, flocked Panthor. I really wish you would have finished the design with style, as much as functionality.
I received this product to play with and review. This toy is great for imaginative play and adventure. It's slightly large, vibrant colors and completely movable. Everything on this Battle Cat moves and the teeth are so realistic. The mouth opens wide enough to place other smaller objects into and be held securely. Its's lightweight, easy to play and with comes with two accessories. The accessories add extra aspects to the Battle Cat; the headpiece does not stay on securely, but it is not ruin the interaction with the toy. Overall, it's great for kids that love action figures and role play.
So impressed by this new figure. It keeps the classic 80's MOTU Battle Cat and upgrades it with impressive articulation and play-ability! This is an amazing product for kids and collectors alike! For kids new to the MOTU universe this toy will be an instant favorite as the pure size of it will make it fit in with not only the new MOTU line but also a welcome edition to many of today's 6 inch figures. For fans of MOTU who have been around since the beginning this is the toy you dreamed you had in the 1980's. Sturdy, excellent articulation, outstanding paint job. This toy really is an instant new classic. Highest recommendation!
