I bought 2 of these to run side by side on my 6 burner Matador BBQ. Very easy to use and made an outstanding addition..easy to set up. Fits like a glove to the Matador BBQ. Certainly a change in flavour using charcoal, compared to plain old gas cooking. Highly recommend if you want to start smoking on a BBQ.

The fact that the gas lights the charcoal is genius. I've used this for 3 years and love it. It has done tonnes off cooking for a large family. Charcoal (not heatbeads) just tastes better. This would be so much more popular if they actually marketed this.

Like the other reviews, my first one of these trays seemed to explode on first use. I checked it out when everything had cooled down and found a crack running the length of it. Thinking this was a manufacturing issue, I returned it to Bunnings and got a replacement. First use of the second tray and exactly the same thing happened! This time it went in 3 places. Utter crap, dangerous and needs to be recalled.
We took the first one back as it fractured with a significant bang though we followed instructions completely. The replacement on first go has just also explosively fractured even on low heat. Its dangerous. Two failing the same way is inexcusable. Will be getting a refund and not a replacement. Will also be contacting the company. Avoid.
After 1 use the tray itself cracked, was not over filled with coal. tray was allowed to cool down naturally. realised cracked next morning. Now i am concerned about my matador bbq.
