Worked fine for doing an enormous fish on the BBQ but... it is not held closed when the handle is removed and I needed it off to close the BBQ lid. It was tricky to get the handle back on properly (it was hot) when it came time to turn the fish.

I brought it 12 months ago to cook chicken wings/drumsticks/ribs I found it easy to use even cooking saves burning your hands trying to turn them over individually. Just flip it over and presto. The only downside is now further down the track the rings have started to fall off and some of the wire has detached from the main frame all in all I’ll definitely buy another one

Have used the product once to cook 2 'flat' chickens, held the meat perfectly. You may need to use bigger pieces of meat for this product to work as described. If you are cooking fish (which I haven't done), perhaps use the appropriate utensil, fish 'utensils' are available.

The product is very well made using quality materials. The removable grip is very comfortable and offers easy packaging. But the metal grids are too thin and too flexible, where they do not keep meat at the same place. when turning over the grill, can often shift food or worst, they fall out. It would be better if the metal grids were thinker and less (far less) flexible, where it will provide a definite hold on meats/vegetables.
Our meat was falling out the sides when we went to turn it, tried to youtube it to see what we were doing wrong. Couldn't get the answer, ended up manually flipping our meat
I get what others are saying about food falling out between the flexible wire grid but this basket is perfect for me for larger proteins like whole fish or spatchcock chicken.
No clue why Bunnings works with Matador for BBQ accessories. We bought this basket and metal BBQ skewers, both are not thought through at all and not applicable in real life. This basket doesn't hold meat in, not possible to turn over. And there is no other brands in Bunnings to choose from. The skewers are the same - ok until you need to turn them over, they are not wide enough to hold meat in a position, so when you turn them the meat stays where it was. Useless products!! Can I return those after I used them?
Tried it twice, each time was a failure, the grill is too flexible and flimsy, fish slides around and ended up getting wedged in the grills.and half falling out. Threw it out after two attempts.
Zero star supposedly, it doesn't hold anything, I wish Bunnings will become again more stringent in their product testing and stop selling crap item like this.
Just like the first review, food moves around or falls out from the sideInner wires are not hard enough to keep food locked into place.Outer frame does not lock food inside frame
