I bought them for my husband, and they're so "flexible" that every time he puts them on his face, they're extremely lopsided... I'm always having to tell him, "your glasses are lopsided" or fix them for him. He doesn't like them either. We thought we were getting a pair just like what he had before, but my gosh, they are not. 12years back bought my first pair of Hikina or Hima at Dubai international Airport and ever since bought over 35 pairs in every colour and many times over. Given gifts to family and friends and now they are the regulars . I still get requests from friends who can't find them in Africa . But now the problem is they becoming expensive and out of reach of middle class like myself . Quality and designs are superb no doubt but I don't think can afford them much longer.

These glasses are amazing! I already have two other pair of Maui Jims that I love, but I wanted something a little more stylish, and these really blew me away. All of my friends and family love them too. VERY lightweight, you can barely tell that you are wearing them, and the larger frame fits my oversized melon quite well. The frame FEELS flimsy but it really is not, it will take quite a bit of abuse. Absolutely love them.

Most comfortable and lightweight sunglasses I own. I have 2 other pairs of Maui Jim’s and find myself grabbing for these 80% of the time. The pink mirror Maui Rose ones are so fun and do a great job of keeping all views so beautiful and clear. I see a lot of comments about these glasses being so lightweight that they tip on the face. Well, that’s the idea. They’re easily adjustable to give you a custom fit. Basically, I just place them on my face to find that sweet spot and they just grip and stay in place. I think it’s because of the special nose pieces and rubbery temples that grab onto the skin really gently but firmly. Once I have them in place and situated, they never move. Customer service is great. FED EX lost my glasses during the holidays (not Maui Jim’s fault). Customer service at MJ did not hesitate to help me track the package and send personal updates. Even offered up a new pair if need be. Great glasses and great customer service. Also, I’d suggest getting the care kit…nice quality cloth and spray in a high quality travel case for ten dollars. Worth every penny!

Hema is a great pair of sunglasses. Quite a mix of reviews of this style...some are very critical. I, personally, am a big fan of Hema. They are very flexible, which enhances the comfort level. The coverage is perfect, and great for medium to large faces. All though some reviewers have expressed concern about the durability of this very light weight style, I am not concerned. I treat all my sunglasses with great care, because whatever brand or style, or what they might be made of, ALL sunglasses are delicate. You know what they say.....the bigger they are, the harder they fall. And let's not forget....they are sunglasses, not a tank. I'll start by saying that these are beautiful, feather light and clear. I bought the gloss black with Maui rose. *Almost* perfect. Where I ran into problems was when I tried them on. The frame is actually too flexible in the bridge or not flexible enough in the arms. Sitting on my counter they are almost identical to the Breakwalls my husband wears. However, trying them on I find that the nose bridge flattens out with the pressure from the temples. This makes the base curve flatten out and changes the fit significantly.So like I said, these are so close to what I wanted. I really thought they would fit. They would have if the bridge was just a tad more rigid. So disappointing to be almost perfect and yet unwearable for me. In my experience they have consistently offered the highest quality lens (regardless of the material of the respective sunglasses), no distortion and excellent construction. As a professional photographer, I appreciate the flawless image and true colors transmitted through the lenses.My latest purchase was their new HIKINA sunglasses. They are amazingly lightweight to the degree that you easily forget that you have them on. In spite of being so lightweight, they stay in place no matter the activity I am involved in. This is a very light model of Maui Jim’s. However they look and feel fragile to the point that it makes you think that the company is trying to save too much in good quality / resistant materials. Even the case is fragile and feels like cardboard; crushes easily. Lens are too thin and clear. Don’t expect dark protection of your eyes in a sunny day. Very dissatisfied with the overall quality of the product. May Jim used to make better sunglasses, darker, thicker and more resistant to impact that came with a nice hard / good quality case. Returned the same day I received them. Other brands can give you more for your money.
I really like the new glasses. Super lightweight and comfortable. Some sunglasses give me a headache when they’re too heavy or squeeze my head too hard, so these are perfect. The only reason I couldn’t give them a five star is that they are so flexible that they are hard to put on with one hand,
