Love these sunglasses. At first I thought they might not be dark enough but it’s amazing how much sunlight they filter out. The frame isn’t huge— just a nice size that fits well, lightweight, and you can push on your head if needed. The quality is excellent and they have exceeded my expectations. Just returned from Europe and they were perfect for the entire trip.

These glasses are so cute and I so badly wanted to love them since they fit my small face well, but I had the same problem some others did with bright light reflecting up into my eyes from the bottom of the frames. I purchased the Sandstone with blue but also tried the other colors and all three were an issue. I have pretty light sensitive eyes so if your eyes are darker and not as sensitive you may not have an issue. Also, these likely will be fine in cloudy environments or just wearing them in the car, but I do a lot of trail running and outdoor stair climbing in sunny Colorado, which requires looking at the ground right in front of you, and I was blinded so many times I was actually worried about missing tree roots or rocks and tripping. I was gifted a pair of Maui Jim's a couple years ago, and the pair I received then quickly became my favorite sunglasses ever. I wore them everywhere and I was super careful about protecting them. Despite my caution, I sadly lost that pair a month or so ago and was super sad. The main purpose I went with prescription sunglasses was for driving. I did not intend to use them for running, but after taking them hiking and paddleboarding on holidays the past two weeks, I decided to give them a try on a hot and sunny run tonight as well. Ha ha! These were in the men’s section of the sunglass store at purchase but I couldn’t find what I purchased on MJ’s website until I looked in the women’s frames. But no worries, I’ve always liked smaller frames anyways as they simply fit me better and are more comfortable. They’re particularly comfortable under an aviation headset. Perfectly legitimate unisex option and I’d buy them again without hesitation. I look forward to replacing the lenses with prescriptions.
I have a few pairs of MJs. I only purchase ones with the super thin glass due to visual quality. The Honi has quickly become my everyday go-tos. They fit perfectly and are super comfortable. I have had several “name brand” shades over the years-will never go back to any of them. Love the company, the customer service, and the wide variety of styles to pick from
I bought the “Honi” sunglasses to protect my eyes after having surgery to remove cataracts. Must admit I wondered if they would be worth the money?After several weeks wearing them I can honestly say they are brilliant and worth every penny. I no longer have to squint, or strain my eyes, even on the brightest day.I went back to my optician’s this morning for my final post op check up and I no longer need prescription glasses for distance, so I treated myself to a pair of MJ “Orchid” glasses. Did not like the pink tinged lenses, so I am having my “Orchid” frames fitted with bronze lenses, the same as my “Honi” sunglasses. Cannot wait for them to be ready for collection.
I have always struggled to find that perfect pair of sunglasses that did not overwhelm my face. This is the pair, no need to look any further. The lenses are glass, which I didn't realize at first. Everything is so crisp and clear, it's an amazing difference from my prior pair of Maui Jim (non-glass lenses) sunglasses. I am buying a second, back up pair, in blue as well as one of each of the other colors. I have dropped them several times, lenses down on concrete, and to my surprise they survived just fine without damage or scratches.
These are honestly the perfect sunglasses for someone who needs smaller frames but still wants something stylish. I purchased the Sandstone with Blue frames and neutral grey lenses and really love them. I prefer the neutral grey lenses as they don't distort natural color, they just make everything slightly darker and clear. I really hesitated to spend $250 but after looking everywhere for something comparable and not finding anything, I purchased these. I'm so glad I did! They really are beautiful, lightweight, and comfortable.

I have been a Maui Jim customer for a long time and my favorite pair are my Lighthouse because they are totally weightless and I never get a headache when I need sunglasses all day. This pair is so beautiful. So far I have not had any issues with the added weight compared to what I am used to wearing. My only comment is when I wear a baseball cap the brim does rest on the frame so I do find myself adjusting them. The hat does just slightly rest and if I wear a smaller cap they don't touch at all.
