Maui Moisture Shea Butter Shampoo 385ml

I have super long thick coarse hair that is constantly dry from swimming in the ocean. This conditioner makes my hair feel super soft and tangle free again. I bring an extra bottle when I go to the beach to apply after rinsing out my hair and leave it in while biking home and it makes such a huge difference. Also they all smell great! I've noticed a significant difference in the types of conditioners this brand offers in their consistency- this one is a little on the thicker side.

I have thick wavy semi- frizzy dry natural red hair. I currently am keeping it at shoulder length to make it easier to maintain. I typically wash it once a week because my hair doesn’t get oily fast. I do look for hydrating products or add oils to my hair to give it a boost. I did struggle getting the conditioner out of the bottle, I had to slam it on my hand several times. Almost giving up to best honest. Finally some product came out. It was very thick and a little went a long way. The scent was very nice and pleasant. It washed out easily. It left my hair frizz free and feeling moisturized, but I also noticed it left what felt similar to a gel-like film on my hair. I’m going to start with the only positive thing I found with this product. It smells great. That’s it. After using the shampoo my hair felt nasty. Very dry. So I thought maybe the conditioner will fix that. Nope! But before I get into that, I had such trouble getting some out of the brand new bottle. It was too thick or concentrated. I had to call my husband to squeeze the bottle with both hands to get some out to try. I was very disappointed when I finally put in on my hair. It made my hair look and feel dry. I’m not sure if anyone else had a similar experience squeezing some out or if it was just my batch or bottle. For reference I have fine hair, shoulder length, a lot of it.

I liked this conditioner. It smelled really nice, was a really thick substance, and seemed to get thicker after application, lathering, and combing through my hair. The only thing I will mention is that the packaging is probably not the best. Since the product is so thick, it’s a little difficult to get out of the bottle without keeping it stored upside down. Lastly, although I received this product complimentary for testing purposes, the price point is also really affordable.

I liked the product, but I didn't love it. I would recommend the product for someone with more of a curly texture instead of wavy like mine. But it smells amazing, and the look of the product is really pretty. I may try another product from this brand that may be closer to my hair needs and see how that goes. Again, I didn't necessarily dislike the product, I just didn't love it. It seemed to kind of weigh my hair down a little bit, made it harder to style, but at the same time it made it very shiny.

Absolutely amazing and works wonders

I brought this shampoo because I was looks for a shampoo that would make my hair grow and be shiny. In the last couple of months my hair has grown so much and won’t stop growing. I shampoo twice and use conditioner once. What I will say is when using this product make sure you lather it up between your hands for a few minutes before applying to your hair because otherwise it wont spread around your hair easily. I would highly recommend this product and will continue to use it forever.

Great Natural Shampoo, but you need to know this:

Shampoos that are free from nasties are generally more difficult to lather than what we are used to. Hairstylists recommend you double-shampoo your hair. Shampoo, rinse and repeat in order for the dirt and grease to be removed and then for your hair to be nourished. It makes a huge difference and the lather on the second application is a lot richer.Something else to bare in mind is that your hair will have a lot of chemical build-up form using chemical based shampoos; there will be an adjustment period. After 2-3 washes is when you really start to see the benefits of this brand and everything it promises. I have bleached-silver hair and have always used the classic "smoothing, moisturising" types of shampoo. Smooth, manageable, shiny and smells amazing for ages.This won't be for all hair types, I have tried most of the different types in the Maui range to find the right one for me but overall they are all incredibly effective. I would never go back to anything else! You should 100% try it and stick with it to get great results.

Not what it used to be.

I came on here specifically to express my disappointment at the change in the formula for this conditioner. It happened close to when they changed the lids, too. Anytime I find an older lid on one of these bottles in the store, I buy it because the old formula was SO GOOD and excellent at taming my frizz. The new formula, however, is so much LESS effective and all my frizz is back after 2 washes. PLEASE go back to the original, thicker, creamier, superior version!!!

Terrible

I have only had this for a couple of weeks and have just been looking at my hair and wondering why it looks so terrible and thinking i'm going to have to cut half of it off. I was trying to work out why for ages then I realised i'd started using this product and looked it up and seen its done it to loads of other women. Its disgusting that they market this the way they do as this is NOT good for hair. How dare they sell a product that does the opposite to what it says. I don't think its a mistake either. Considering taking legal action. Someone needs to stop this company.
