I have been using this foundation for over 10 years. Its my holy grail. No other foundation has worked for my skin as well as this was one has. I could put it on in the morning, wear it all day and night, come home and it would still look flawless. I don't know what you have changed, but this foundation is now terrible. Initially it goes on lovely as usual albeit the liquid is now thicker. However after only a couple of hours the foundation looks dreadful on my skin, it breaks apart and makes my nose, cheeks and forehead so oily. It's dreadful. It's also harder to remover before bed. I am therfore back to the drawing board with foundations as I cannot continue to use this one, its honestly really bad. Have been using this foundation for the best part of 10 years. Previously I would have recommended this product, however recently its formulation has changed. Having recently replenished my stock only to find that the same foundation is now awfully thick, difficult to apply without brush/ sponge marks. It is so thick that after one application it cakes my foundation brush and it needs a clean. I also have been recently experiencing blemishes and irritated skin which I have never suffered before. I bought my stock on the 3 for 2 and sadly all three are as bad as each other, as well as further bottles I have checked in store. Perhaps a rushed formulation change due to the PFAS scandal??Go back to the old formulation max factor?!!!

The foundation tone/shade changes after few minutes from the application so I suggest waiting a bit when choosing the right tone for your skin. Also the foundation blends nicely but the best effect is visible after few minutes from applying. Overall I am happy with the foundation, it is a quality product.

First impressions of this product; it looks like all other drugstore foundations, but once I put it on I was pleasantly surprised!It was lovely and lightweight, I didn’t feel like I was wearing makeup.It says it’s a primer, foundation and concealer in one...while I can’t say much for the ‘primer’ I definitely felt it did well on the concealing side. I barely had to use any concealer to hide my spots and dark circles. Definitely wins points for that! Particularly from the point of view of a time poor mum, quick and easy is always a plus!!I only wore it for light every day wear, but it would easily be buildable for a heavier makeup look. This foundation has always been great with a buildable coverage that just popped and stayed pretty flawless all day, now I’m getting flashbacks of early 2000’s mouse foundations. It’s giving my skin doesn’t need to breathe vibes. It’s so heavy and thick, impossible to wash off easily BUT will definitely slip and move throughout the day. If anything you have achieved the impossible; a foundation that stays on when you don’t want it to but doesn’t stay where you want it to. I’m currently on the hunt for a new go to foundation so if anyone can point me in the direction of something close to what this product USED TO BE that would be great. I brought a new bottle three weeks ago and today I’ve ended up in A&E after using this for a two weeks. I’ve ended up with a server allergic reaction around my eyes - red, hot, burning, dry and flakey skin, I’ve never felt pain like it. Contacted my doctor a week who said I’ve developed dermatitis and need treatment. After trying to treat this and it only getting worse, I’ve ended up in A&E not being able to see properly in one eye and I’m current waiting to see an eye specialist. I cannot believe you’ve changed the formula this much! I brought this recently from sainsburys, in the palest shade which for once, matched my skin tone which made me very optimistic to try it. However, every time I put it on it cracked, looked cakey or just didn't blend or take to spots on my face at all. So, I looked up how to make foundation seamless, washed my face, moisturised, put on setting spray , then primer and guess what, it made no difference, I had massive patches on my face where the foundation didn't even stick at all. I didn't even wear the foundation for more than 5 minutes because, everytime it just looked disgusting. I'm actually really annoyed that I wasted my money on this product because, I can never wear it due to how bad it is. Absolutely gutted to find out the formula of this foundation has changed, it was the only foundation that worked well on my skin (and I tried a lot!). I've been using this foundation for at least 10 years and not had any skin reactions. Bought my latest bottle of it and noticed it had suddenly changed to a really thick texture and it started to sit in my fine lines which it never had before. Within a few days my skin went really dry and looked awful. I managed to get hold of a bottle of the old formula off amazon but once that's gone I'll be back on the search for a new foundation again. Why oh why did the formula have to change? It was such a good foundation before. Looking at the ingredients list it looks like it's had a complete overhaul, no idea why?

I was always a fan of Max Factor and previously used Colour Adapt which I loved and it is now discontinued. I thought I would give this a go. Its absolutely awful!!! The first time I used my fingers when putting this on and I found that it sits in my pores and highlights them! instead of blurring them. The second time I used a beauty blender and that was definitely a better application, didn't highlight my pores. However both times I felt it was a rather difficult foundation to put on, to blend, it was tacky and the foundation moved! Once on it makes your skin look really dry! I really wanted to like this foundation but I was very disappointed. I won't be buying again. I now use L'Oréal Infallible 32hr freshwear, I highly recommend it.
