Not an owner of a 4WD……But a Fiat Ducato motorhome…..front wheel drive…most of the weight at the back. Consequently front wheels need traction on soft or wet ground.Maxytrax are the best go to within the M/home community.. Given Supercheaps members discount….this was a no brainer. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Overlanding, off-roading, or just planning for that next grand outdoor adventure. Discover Colorado and wash your spirit clean. Spirit does it all. The functional, versatile, and capable racks we recently installed with Spirit look fantastic, are authentic Colorado, and have already yielded more adventure in our lives in this colorful state. Much more to come as we transition from transportation to touring and stop seeing boundaries to our exploration. Thank you!

I bought two sets today, on sale! I haven't needed to use any sort of recovery gear (yet!) but have been close to being stuck. I bought two sets because I figure if I'm on the beach with the camp trailer, I want to be able to advance up the soft parts faster than the incoming tides ;) It's great that they come with the long lanyard making the recovery of the recovery boards easier. When I first went looking at recovery boards, these were only 2 years and the TRED brand were lifetime. I am glad that MaxTrax followed the practise, as I would rather put my money is long standing Australian company. I am hoping that I never use the boards, so the warranty should never be needed also.

Only used them twice in NT.Once in mud and once in sand. Both times i escaped easily. Helped a guy stuck in mud as well and although it took a while due to being well stuck we eventually got him out. He said he was buying 4 of them when he gets to Darwin.

Maxtrax do the job but are they worth the price?
22 January 2022

Went to Fraser with the Pajero at the end of winter and assumed I would need recovery tracks. After weighing up the options and reading and watching reviews I opted for the max trax despite the higher price tag. Well they worked! Got us out of the soft stuff and Indian head and used to bridge some holes on the Inland track with minimal flex. My only complaint is that despite the price and the reviews there was significant wearing of the grip/nodules after only 2 or three uses. I wasn't expecting this and had I of know I would have more seriously considered the alternatives at half the price given the.imfrequecy of use and that I wasn't intending on bolting them to the roof permanently do drive around town and look good like many do! :)

Maxtrax. They simply work.
7 January 2024

I love my Maxtrax. I've had two on top of the Dmax for ages now and they have gotten me out of more pickles than I can think of. I was considering getting a sand bag to help with recovery on beaches, then I learnt I could simply double them up and bury them and use them instead of a sand bag recovery doodah for $600. So the answer was clearSimply get more Maxtrax. It's like IBM in the 80's. Nobody every got sacked for buying IBM, similarly, nobody's missus ever shot them for getting more Maxtrax, especially when it means you will be home in time for dinner.

Priceless

Yeah, these things are pricey, and it seems kinda silly for simple plastic. Nonetheless, I found myself in situations where I could have made twice the amount I spent on them .On two separate occasions, we aided some stuck travelers after they were free and clear they were ready to spend whatever they had to procure our MaxTrax. I had to turn them down though, 'cause we needed them too many times ourselves. When you really need 'em, you need 'em.

Useless in mud
23 October 2022

I used Max tracks for the first time after being bogged on a muddy track. Tried to use as instructed. Tyres could not get any grip. Actually created a worse situation. No wonder the video shows how to get out of a sand bog only. These things don’t work in the mud. In the end a friendly farmer towed my Ute out by tractor.

YouTube comparison highlights Maxtrax MK2 the best
17 April 2023

I haven't used the Maxtrax yet but have them ready when required. Bought these after seeing on YouTube a recovery track comparison putting most known brands of track through some crazy tests using a 79 series LandCruiser. The Maxtrax was the only one that went through the testing and still looked like they came off the shelf. All the other tracks including more expensive ones either snapped or showed signs of fatigue.I'm sure when I need to use these recovery tracks they will perform better than anything else on the market.
