We used this fan to replace a failing Fantastic Fan. The remote control is a nice touch, we don't have to reach overhead to start or stop the fan. The integrated lifting rain cover is nicely designed and very low profile on your roof. If you have roof AC those covers will be much higher than this fan when it is open and operating. The smoke lid is transparent and allows in a great deal of natural light. This is very helpful in a windowless bathroom to get in a bit of extra natural light. The quantity of air that this fan moves is tremendous, and only on the highest setting is the fan ever approaching noticeable sound levels. Cleaning is fairly easy. I wanted to replace the vent in my 2021 Lance trailer with a fan and Maxxair was a cost-effective option, especially with an integrated hood. Because it doesn't open as high as a traditional fan, it is fast from closed to open to close. The remote works well for my wife who is shorter and everything is well constructed. It's a really nice addition to our trailer and now I can use it to bring air in and use the other as exhaust for great circulation. The existing vent, only a few years old, was already yellowed and broke into pieces as I removed it. The small bathroom fan is next, which is a 14x14 opening, but a puny little fan. May just do a replacement insert if I can find a compatible one.

The fan is as advertised and works fine. But when I discovered it wouldn’t work without modifying other items on my roof I inquired about a return. I was told I could return it but would have to pay return postage (expected) AND a restocking fee. Not expected, I haven’t had to pay one of these in years! So it would have cost me nearly $100 to return my $300 fan. I kept it and vowed not to do business here again. I will also steer any friends away from here.

I received this MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K Electric Powered Roof Vent same week I ordered it. friendly customer service called me to verify my info,(probably because billing address was different from shipping address), was pretty easy to remove the old fan from truck camper and replace with this upgrade. There was 1 samll clip missing, so I emailed the manufacturers customer service, and that part was FedEx'd out right away. A+ all around.This fan makes a HUGE difference, has 10 speeds to choose from, blows out or sucks in, remote, I'm a big fan of this fan.Will buy from SolarTown again, and would recommend SolarTown to others.
I installed this fan to replace the one that came with our camper. This is definitely an upgrade. It was easy to install, and it noticeably moves more air thru the camper. The auto function is a good option. You just set the desired temperature, and the fan automatically sets the fan speed. It will shut off when the set temperature is reached. This is nice for using in the evening at bedtime. I would recommend this product.

The rest of the installation process was simple by following the instructions. Deluxe fan pulls so much air now compared to the original. Original RV fan really does nothing other than open up the roof to the outside. Deluxe fan does a great job protecting against rain coming into the RV when opened. The Remote on the deluxe is a big benefit to my family as we are generally short and reaching the old fan to unscrew to open the vent and click the switch was difficult for some. The MaxxAir 7500 is a very nice unit. I ordered 2 of them so I can bring air into one end of my rig and exhaust from the other end.Installation was a breeze. Very easy. The vents work well and look terrific. Highly recommended.Camper Van shipped very quickly. I will definitely be purchasing more of my RV accessories from them.
This was a replacement for our previous Maxx fan which was damaged due to a "senior moment" I had...I had removed the fan from the van roof to run wiring for a rear view camera. Well, I forgot to replace the attachment screws! Doh! A sever bump at highway speeds and the fan bounced out of the roof, and was dangling over the rear of the van secured only by the pair of power wires to the fan! The circuit board was dislodged but was able to "bungee" the fan in place until I could secure it with new screws. It was still water tight.Anyway, it's a great fan and I was pleasantly surprised to learn the old remote also works with the new fan :)
We are new RV's and were a little hesitant to install a new fan on a fairly new RV trailer. However, it works better than expected. HIGHLY recommend. PROS: The fan is much larger and therefore transfers air WAY better than the factory installed fans. We do NOT need the AC near as much. Just opening our old fan (see con below) then using the new fan cooled off the RV quickly. It has a cover that allows it to be open in the rain. The remote is line of site, but much more convenient than getting up to turn the fan on or off. It came with a remote mount we placed near our air conditioner controls. The auto open control that turns on based on a the temperature you set worked great. A great feature in a hot climate, better for pets too. I could NOT install it, but my husband is quite handy. It fit our standard (14") vent in our 18" Grand Design trailer. After watching the video at Camping World and reading the instructions he installed it in about an hour with just one trip to the hardware store. I passed the fan and tools up to him while he was on the trailer, which worked well. And helped guide in the device from within the RV. We already had most of the necessary supplies and tools. Ordered the "tape" recommended on the Camping World video in advance.
Ordered this from Amazon, no screws for mounting (not really an issue) but when the box says screws included ya might want to listen to yourselves! And naturally the remote was absent as well. With 8' ceilings in my trailer the thing was a useless piece of plastic. How many Indiana hillbillies does does it take to put a total of three items in one box? No seriously, I'd like to know! After hearing about the same problems from other reviews I refuse to deal with the manufacturer and their total lack of customer service so I sent it back! COVID or not folks, at least attempt to pull your heads from the cracks of your butts.
