MAXXIS Aspen Cross Country / All Mountain You want an all-round racing tyre that rolls very well, is very light, but also offers grip in almost all situations? The ASPEN is MAXXIS' latest answer to this requirement profile. In the centre of the tread, narrow, slightly angled sipe lugs alternate with small, bevelled block lugs. This redefines the ideal combination of high traction and easy rolling. The side lugs run in groups of two from the outside to the inside, seen in the direction of travel. This special arrangement provides significantly more grip in curves. Despite an all-round stud height of over 3mm and very good puncture protection with Silkworm Polyfiber Shielding, the ASPEN weighs only 460g. Together with the eXCeption carcass with 120TPI and our outstanding eXCeption rubber compound, this makes the ASPEN an XC race tyre whose performance is absolutely convincing because handling, traction and grip are optimal, which is very puncture-proof and whose service life is far above that of competitor models. New for 2015 are the 29" TR versions, with and without EXO sidewall protection for problem-free use with sealing milk.
