Use for a long time (from 2013). Front 46psi/ 26 2.3 rear 52psi/ 2.15. Always use only for asphalt. Soft for rough road and good ticknes. High inertia make comfortable driving. But fast ending - every 12000 km need a change rear tyre.

I have the 2x2.15 on my touring/gravel bike, a rebuild Cannondale Badboy.I have ridden them thru the entire length of Norway, on all surfaces, with no punctures at all..imo this is the best touring tyre there is…light, fast and with good puncture resisitance

Got these to improve my old 26” mtb that came with skinny 1.75 wide tyres. What can I say,, these 2.3 wide DTH tyres are a huge improvement. Painless to fit. Grippy and smooth rolling on both trail and tarmac and improved the overall look of my bike quite a bit.

Got the 120tpi in 26x2.3 for use on my Motiv Sherpa e-assist cargo bike. Replaced a worn set of Kenda SB8s, difference is night and day. The DTH is very fast, has great traction, and unrivaled comfort. The way they corner reminds me of a motorcycle street race tire, and yet they still perform well on fire roads and jeep trails. I couldn't be happier with the gumwall DTH tires, they are magnificent. Or should I say, "Maxxnificent"!
I've been using these tyres for about 6 months now, primarily as a road-going commuter on my MTB. I feel that because of the tread pattern and the tyre profile, being more rounded over the edges, it corners well and handles standard road travel with a nice blend of traction and minimal drag. Durability seems to be pretty good so far. Will definitely be getting another set when these wear out.
In and of itself the tire is very good. It's heavy which I don't really like. This could be mitigated by making the tire in a 2.3, but Maxxis doesn't make this tire in a 2.3. If it came tubeless that is another way to cut down the weight, but I don't think it is tubeless. What I do like about the tire is its durability, cushion and grip. The thing can take a beating but impacts aren't as atrocious as they can be with a 2.1. Does good for the wrists. The rollability is decent but not the best. I'd like to see less "negative space", that is, to say conversely, more "knob surface", as I think this would help with the rollability. But I'm not a tire engineer. I'm just kinda guessing here.Overall it's a great tire. wish they could shave the weight and make smoother. ... MoreIn and of itself the tire is very good. It's heavy which I don't really like. Would help with instantaneous momentum increases and rollability, i.e. would strain my quads a little less. This could all probably be mitigated by using a DTH but the DTH has been out in 2.3 for about 3-6 months now. That's half a year of my life....fwiw. Pick up the pace Maxxis.
Really like the look of it on my dirt jumper and it has perfect grip paired with my IKON innige front, rolls really smooth and even innige wet it still grips the pavement well.
Perfect for my Surly Long Haul Trucker with 26" wheels. 2.1" rear, and 2.3" front. Lover the gum wall. Tread is perfect for my needs: street, gravel, and light cross country riding. Will be my go to tire as long as they are available.
The tread & tan sidewalls make these the most stylish tires I have put on my 26” dj. Not the lightest, but they feel smooth & sturdy. Workin out great for urban use- wall riding, jumping, cruising the beach. Keep making these in 26” Maxxis!
Had my first ride with a pair of 2.3 Maxxis wire bead DTH 26" today. Wanted something to knock around the local streets and gravel paths while we wait for the end of lockdown. They roll well and are fairly grippy on the local pump track. No complaints, did the job well.
