I am am not huge in lipstick, will wear a shade every once in a while, otherwise I’ll just use clear balms and glosses. I was beyond blown away with this liner. I also tried the technique where you press your lips together and line the outside. Beautiful outcome (for my expectations anyway lol) I couldn’t believe I actually have lips! This liner worked great, stayed put all night and it kept my lipstick from smudging outside of the lines. If you’re on a budget like me, definitely recommend to have in your stash for those nights you’re going for a different look. Worth every cent!... Show more

**THIS IS NOT THE COLOR I OWN** My color was not an option—I have #100, which is clear. I’m just really getting into lipsticks, stains, etc and wanted to try a liner I could use with any color. Clear?! PERFECT! I can use this liner with literally any shade and it helps me shape my lips before applying actual color to them. I bought this when it was on sale for buy one, get one half off so I think I paid around $5.00-$5.50 for it? I would’ve bought it for it’s full price, I just happened to be getting another maybelline product at the time. 🙂 I think it’s a great product, especially if you’re new to lip pencils, lipstick, etc. It also has a removable sharpener on the opposite end of the stick so you can sharpen the liner up when you need to. Super convenient! Now that I’m getting more comfortable with lip colors (not just glosses lol) I would absolutely try this product in a different shade. I may go find a match for my red lipstick samples I received from #Ulta recently, now that I’m thinking about it. Great price, great product, completely recommend!... Show more

So this is seriously the first time I've worn lip liner and lipstick that were so moisturizing and had such lustrous shine, everyone thought I was wearing lipgloss! I did a triple take in the mirror after applying :)I received two of the #ColorSensational produxts by #Maybelline in my #InfluensterVoxBox: a self sharpening liner in shade 104 Gone Greige and a lipstick in shade 055 Taupe Seduction. Both were in the nude family but id say they're darker nudes with a berry colour mixed.I began by exfoliating my lips and adding conditioner for a few minutes before wiping off and adding a dab of concealer to lighten my lips, act as a primer and to help the liner hold lip colour in place should it be too dark. Next I simply traced the outside of my lips with the super sharp liner tip (there was no need to tug on it and I only had to go over the bottom of my lower lip twice. Since I wasn't sure if the lipstick would feather or fade I also made an "X" in the middle of my lips and lightly filled in with the pencil under my cupid's bow.Next I followed with the lip colour and it was stunning; see my review for the Taupe Seduction from Maybelline. It was a perfect match and fell perfectly in line with the liner.I opted not to use a brush, applying it directly on my lips over the liner. The pigment was awesome and it distributed itself fairly evenly with the first swipes. I used my finger to even up the corners of my lips and then applied a second coat to the middle of both lips for extra shine factor!!Oh yeah- I didn't read that this was a long wear formula but I had it on for at least 5 hours and for the most part it lasted through a couple of beverages and a popsicle. It didn't wear off in a strange way either...it just got a bit less shiny then lighter.I love lip products but normally go really light nude, pink or randomly vibrant red. This trial has completely changed my mind ladies and gents.... Show more

Guess who went on a shopping spree?? ME! I already had shade 130. Dusty Rose and 135 Palest Pink in the Maybelline Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner. As you can see, I just purchased 110 which is Purely Nude and 115, Totally Toffee. Dusty Rose is a great everyday lip liner for the clean girl look. I throw on my lip liner, and add Maybelline's Baby Lips lip balm, 05 Quenched (check out my review on that product). Palest Pink is more of a fun color. I line my lips with it and lightly color my lips with it as well, then top with my Baby Lips lip balm. Nice thing about these liners. Is that the bottom portion pulls out and has a sharpener so you can get a defined lip line. Looking forward to trying the other two colors!... Show more

The formula is smooth and creamy, making it easy to apply and blend. It doesn't feel dry or cakey on the lips, and it provides a long-lasting base for my lip color to adhere to. One of the standout features of this lip liner is its precision tip. It allows for a precise and even application, making it easy to achieve a well-defined lip look. Additionally, it helps prevent lipstick from bleeding or feathering. Overall, I highly recommend Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in the shade 10 Nude Whisper for anyone looking for a reliable and versatile lip liner. It's affordable, long-lasting, and easy to use. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll love it!... Show more

This product is a favorite of mine! The fact that this has a twist up applicator makes my life easy! It allows the item to be easily accessible during any occasion or situation. I have a few lip liners that require a pencil sharpener and it’s like, it’s not 2001 anymore…. The colors are great and go on smoothly. I do feel like the cost is a bit expensive for a drug store brand. I believe these are like $12. So, if you are like me and always on the go, if you leave this somewhere by accident it is pretty sad… Attached are photos of the product, some have different colors than the 105.... Show more

Like the Shine Compulsion Lipstick from this brand, I just find this okay. I like that it’s a retractable liner so there’s no sharpening, but I think it’s kind of strange that this is a shimmery lip liner. I personally don’t care for baby bubblegum pink on my skin tone, so this and the lipstick aren’t something I would really gravitate to for that reason either. NikkieTutorials showed a shimmery lipliner from another brand on her channel that she would use in her cupid’s bow to add a little extra highlight in that spot, so I might try that with it, but it just doesn’t really seem like something I would reach for too often. Usually I like my lip liners to have a little more grip and pigment to the formula, so they really define the lip and keep products from feathering, but this is is very balmy and “slippy” like the lipstick and I just don’t feel like it would do much of what most people expect from a lipliner. For a lightweight, moisturizing, balm-like lip product that is meant to kind of be put on with minimal effort to get some shine and hydration (that’s how I see the shine compulsion), I don’t really understand the need for an extra step of lipliner. It just seems like it should be more of an effortless product and one that I wouldn’t want or feel the need to take an extra step, like applying lipliner for. But that’s just my opinion. It’s def not a bad product and for some of the richer shades, it might be nice to have a lipliner with a more slippery type lipstick like the SC, but I still feel like the lipliner is so slippery itself that it really wouldn’t help much. It’s pretty much the Shine Complusion Lipstick, in lipliner form. So if that’s something you want, I don’t think it’s a bad product, it’s just not something I would personally reach for over other lipliners in my collection! :)... Show more

Already planning to repurchase this shade
The Wild Violets color is everything!!! Applying it under my regular lipsticks is like refreshing my whole collection. It adds a depth and complexity to what I already own and is making me fall in love with my favorite shades all over again and helping to salvage the shades I don't love so much. I never use the sharpener because I don't need it. It's a little patchy by itself, but purply lip products always are.... Show more

Awful
This should be taken off the shelves. After struggling to take off the plastic wrapper on the clear liner I tried it on my hand first and the tip broke off without any pressure. I rolled it up and tried it again. Once again it broke off. Ridiculous. Doesn't even have the consistency of a liner. More like soft putty. Awful... Show more

Dud pencils
I love the color and texture of this product, but after buying 3 pencils and having them jam after about 20 uses. The crayon falls back into the applicator, it is impossible to get it out. Although there is lots of lip liner left, the applicator breaks down. At $7.99 a pencil, it gets expensive to keep using this product. Had it happen with the last 3 pencils, just bought another one, I will keep you posted.... Show more
