My skin type is normal to dry, 30s, no flaky patches, larger pores. The shade natural beige works great on my self tanned light medium to medium neutral skin tone. The shade is comparable to Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation also in Natural Beige. I really like this foundation. It applies effortlessly with a sponge or brush. A brush gives an immediate fuller coverage, but it builds easily with a sponge in 2 layers to match the coverage of a brush in 1 layer. I enjoy the hydrated radiant look and it does dry down. I wore this in October in 90 degree Orlando heat and it held up extremely well! It looked great and didn’t appear to break up on my skin when wearing it for 8+ hours. The major con to this is that after 4-5 hours I could feel my skin start to feel tight and dry, like I had a film develop on top of my skin. I imagine going from outside heat and humidity to inside extreme air conditioning combined with the denature alcohol in this foundation completely zapped my skin of moisture. This doesn’t happen with my TF Peach Perfect foundation as it lasts 12 hours through sweat and heat and never feels tight or dry like the Maybelline Urban Cover did. I do really like the Urban Cover, but think it’s best for short term wear, 4-6 hours max. It may perform differently at home in the upcoming cooler weather but in hotter climates this product might make your face dry and tight over time. Will update after wearing more. It covers my post acne marks well which is great!... Show more

This is my summer holy grail foundation. I like to review based on a few things: coverage, wear-test, price, colour, photo-test, and application (not in any particular order). I'm a natural beige in almost every foundation, I would say I have a medium-light skin tone with warm undertones. I have hyperpigmentation from old acne scars, but relatively clear skin with the occasional hormonal/diet-related pimple. My skin type is "combination": oily in the t-zone, dry in the outer perimeter of my face - because of my oily t-zone, I have HUGE pores that clog easily if not taken care of. I was looking for a lightweight summer foundation because my face became intolerable to heavy foundations. I picked this up on a whim while I was at Walmart for $12 which was a steal for me ... My skin type is "combination": oily in the t-zone, dry in the outer perimeter of my face - because of my oily t-zone, I have HUGE pores that clog easily if not taken care of. I was looking for a lightweight summer foundation because my face became intolerable to heavy foundations. I picked this up on a whim while I was at Walmart for $12 which was a steal for me because I was so used to buying $40 foundations (*ahem* Fenty Beauty *ahem*) from Sephora. Already off to a good start! But next, my biggest concern is always colour because drugstore foundations tend to be really pink when they oxidize. Well, to my surprise, this foundation did oxidize a little darker BUT not pink! Even after oxidation, everything matched my skin tone so I was happy with that. The coverage I would describe as light-medium coverage. I could cover all my redness and even out my skin tone, but particularly stubborn or inflamed zits would still shine through. I would use my ELF camo concealer to hide those ones, I never like to rely solely on the foundation to cover everything or you end up with a cake face. I apply with either a beauty sponge or a flat top dense brush to really buff the product into my skin. It blends SEAMLESSLY, no streaks no problem. If you're looking for a foundation that looks like skin, this is it! I let the foundation set by itself for a minute before setting it with a fine translucent power, and BOOM - you got a great base to play with. I would describe the finish as satin, however, it becomes a beautiful dewy glow throughout the day. Fair warning: if you have oily skin and you don't like looking like an oil slick, I might advise staying away. But I'm a big fan of the dewy and fresh-faced glow, and I can touch up with a little powder in the middle of the day to tone down the oils in my t-zone. From my experience, I can wear this foundation and it will last me a full 8 hours during a regular workday (that is, running around all day and sweating). Beyond 8 hours, I can't tolerate having it on my face anymore even after blotting and powders. I took off one star because I dislike how white it makes me in photos i.e., the flashback is RIDONKULOUS! Because it has SPF 50, you might find yourself looking kind crazy in evening photos BUT for me, skin-care and prevention is much more important than a silly photo. So I don't mind having sunscreen in my foundation if it means I decrease my risk for signs of aging, sun spots, and melanoma! Anyways, if you made it to the end of my review, thank you! I can't say enough good about this foundation, I love it 😊... Show more

This is my #1 foundation.. or was.. now that they no longer make this... nothing was like this. I have normal skin with hormonal acne sometimes cystic. Kinda dry normal skin. This foundation I used in shade 220 and it was perfection neutral tone for my self tan I used tanned af from Walmart and target. Not only the perfect shade but medium to easy full coverage. It layers like a dream and has a skin to wet finnnish witch was so easy to set. It played well with all my products. I love it so much I would have purchased more if I knew they would take it away. I loved having spf added that I didn't have to think about and you couldn't feel. Lightweight and never was cakey. I just can't believe I can't get this anymore unless I want expired sunscreen from a different ... MoreThis is my #1 foundation.. or was.. now that they no longer make this... nothing was like this. It did transfer but to be expected with a wet skin finnish and can be easily fixed with powder.... Show more

I really enjoyed this foundation. I have the lightest shade and although it's a tad too pale for me I like using it to mix with other foundations I have that are too dark for me. I don't agree with the full coverage aspect but it's no problem for me and it is buidable. The finish isn't matte, it looks more satin on my skin even if I don't put on a dewy primer underneath. It looks natural, beautiful and despite the SPF 50 there's no white veil lingering on the skin. It blends well and again I would've definitely noticed with my very light shade if a white cast was there to be seen but nope, none. The SPF is practical but if you wear it mostly because of it I would suggest to go a bit heavier on the application to be sure that you have enough on for the SPF to do its ... The SPF is practical but if you wear it mostly because of it I would suggest to go a bit heavier on the application to be sure that you have enough on for the SPF to do its job properly. This product uses chemical ingredients as sunscreen so for those of you who prefer mineral versions you should past on this. The white cast are normally seen in mineral sunscreens, which usually use zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as active ingredients. The white cast is technically the visible part of the shield protecting your skin. Mineral sunscreens deflect the UV rays while the chemical ones absorbs them and turns them into something that's none threatening. Anyway I know a lot of people mind about the sunscreen ingredients so in a nutshell that's it! I would recommend as I liked it and if the need comes I would probably repurchase. Also I wouldn't worry too much about flashback in pictures, since again this is mostly caused by the active ingredients in mineral sunscreens.... Show more

Long-lasting flawless finish
I have field tested this product (literally) on many full day outdoor excursions where I needed extra spf and desired a little extra coverage for my skin. I'm nearing the age where my skin is changing in character and becoming drier and more sensitive with slower recovery. This product evens out my skin tone, and sits well over moisturized texture on my skin. I use the Superstay powder to set it and it lasts ALL day. Extreme sweat, blotting, digging, even once when I forgot to wash it off overnight, it makes my skin look the way it did in my earlier 20s. I have acne scars, redness, uneven texture, large cheek pores, and some fine lines around my eyes from sun worship on my youth and this adds eveness that makes this less noticeable. It blends well with clean fingers or a beauty blender. Set with powder. I apply small dots or lines on my cheeks/undetected, forehead, cheeks (pigmentation zone), and lightly on eyelids and it looks awesome. My skin is combo to oily and textured.... Show more

Perfect for daily wear
This is a gorgeous everyday foundation. I find it gives a medium coverage with a natural radiant finish. I appreciate the shade range with this product as the lightest shade matches my fair complexion perfectly. I also love that this formula included SPF 40 and it super lightweight! I personally feel this applies best with a brush as a sponge tends to soak up the product.I think this is a great affordable option and it’s easily available at supermarkets, chemists and department stores like big w.... So disappointed this no longer exists
The urban cover foundation is the best foundation I have EVER tried. A nice medium coverage that does not get oily or cakey and has high SPF, and the color match was PERFECT. I have never gotten sunburned wearing it and it stay on well during the day and comes off easily when I wash my face. I am struggling to find a new foundation to replace it and quite angry that Maybelline is trying to switch people over to the new one with collagen. Always trying to follow trends instead of letting us have something that works. Bring back the affordable high spf foundation immediately please.... Show more
