I was recently introduced to the concept of applying my setting powder over my primer and under my foundation for a more flawless look. I’d only utilized that method for a few weeks, wearing makeup 5 days a week, while using the Hudson beauty baking powder. Let me tell you. Formula matters- yes. It’s important. HOWEVER. Packaging impacts your ability to actually get to and utilize the product and Maybelline locked this one down, 100%. It is so much easier to actually get the correct amount of powder, and use it without making a sloppy mess and feeling like I’m wasting powder that falls onto the floor or all over my shirt. The actual powder itself knocked it out of the park too. The Hydra powder was so much harder to get even coverage since I use a gripping ... The Hydra powder was so much harder to get even coverage since I use a gripping primer, but the Maybelline version glides on SUPER easily, making areas like my nose and forehead (both oily and acne prone) seamless and coveted before I even go in with my foundation. Amazing product. Well thought out packaging. And a steal for the price point and amount you get. I honestly am so annoyed I never thought to try this sooner, and will absolutely be purchasing on my own as soon as I run out.

The Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder did a great job at locking down my makeup all day long. No creasing, settling into fine lines, or noticeable transfer (note that I did use a finishing spray with this product). I tested this all day long in a hot, humid Alabama heat wave, and my makeup looked near perfect by the time I washed my face before bed. The application went well with both a brush and a powder puff (not included). The only complaint I found is that I had to deviate a bit from my usual skincare to accommodate the product. Full disclosure - I have EXTREMELY DRY skin, and it felt like my usual routine caused this product to apply very dry. On day two, I used a more intensive moisturizer, and the powder did great. I don’t think that would be an issue for 99% of ... MoreThe Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder did a great job at locking down my makeup all day long. I am in love with this product. I love the matte+poreless liquid foundation as well, and I got this in the same shade (classic ivory). I should note, it is a tiny bit lighter in color than the liquid (which for me was fine). I would say it’s light/medium coverage, but buildable. I was looking for a powder foundation bc summer in my hometown is sweltering, and I have oily skin. This product is incredible! I absolutely love it. I wish like anything that it was around when I was a teen. It’s very easy to use, so very beginner friendly, but also extremely effective. I use it with some concealer and it looks great. The applicator is great, although I do recommend going over it with a big brush just to make sure it’s all smoothed out. And btw, it’s great for oil control. ... MoreI am in love with this product. I was given this product for free from Influenster and maybelline in exchange for my honest Incentivized review. This is a nice product that blends well, goes on nicely and feels really smooth on . It Doesn’t feel heavy or give me that feeling of having something on my face that some products do. Some powders that I have tried tend to get a little flaky or funky and split in coverage in the fine lines under and around my eyes. This one didn’t do that. it blended and blurred really evenly on its own and was also really nice over base makeup. I was able to adjust coverage in some areas to cover freckles and still have even looking coverage even when I used it on it’s own without concealer or base makeup . Over all I really like it. The only downside for me is ... MoreI was given this product for free from Influenster and maybelline in exchange for my honest Incentivized review. This finishing powder... took me about 45 minutes to figure out how to open it... i screwed the top off, and couldnt figure out wht the powder wasnt coming out. i searched for a sticker that might be covering the holes... couldnt find one. i had just about given up on it and was considering breaking the jar with a hammer or poking a hole in it with a nail when i started playin with the container and my fingernail caught a slight corner of the sticker i couldnt find. there is a sticker covering the holes! it was just a little difficult to find, it was not noticeable to the naked eye at all! i finally got it open and it didnt come with a pad, but the directions said to "swirl a brush into the powder"; well the holes are really small, i dont know of any brush thatd be ... I found this packaging attractive but at the same time, it has its pros and cons. First the packaging looks luxe and is very similar to Huda Beauty baking powder. The loose powder comes in a square plastic box with a secured cap. Once you open the cap,you can see the mesh-like inner mouth through where the powder comes out. All in all the packaging is secure, not to bulky and travel safe friendly. One disadvantage of loose powder is that they create mini mess while applying . You can see loose powder spilled like dust in and around the area where you have applied it. This powder gives a medium coverage hides pores too! Maybelline loose powder gives coverage similar to any BB cream or medium coverage foundation. If you are not a foundation person then you can apply ... I got this product after seeing a YouTuber recommended it for dry/dehydrated skin. The powder was very smooth and fine until a lot of setting powders. Though it is a finishing powder, what surprises me was how long it lasted. I’m not usually a big fan of finishing powders mainly because either the coverage is patchy or my oily, dehydrated skin starts breaking up the makeup and looking oily by noon. However, this powder actually has lasted all day consistently giving me mochi skin! The coverage also is great. Not too cakey or chalky, but just right. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for an affordable powder that won’t dry out your skin and last all day with the little extra oomph of coverage
This is one of the best setting powders on the market. But there are a couple I like just a tad better. The difference is so miniscule though. This is a great drug store setting powder. The finish is matte and it really helps makeup stay in place and look better for longer. Some people compare it to Huda's loose setting powder and I put them up against eachother head to head. The Huda one is a little more finely milled, making it less detectable on skin. But this is close. If used sparingly it gets the job done without looking cakey. I found it works best by using a glowy setting spray on top to get rid of the powdery look. It's definitely worth it's weight, but I prefer others so that's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.
This powder is formulated with minerals designed to help control shine and smooth skin texture with a hint of color. Regarding the product, the powder is light and fine. It feels very smooth and since it isn't translucent it provides pretty decent coverage. Depending on the brand, it can be applied alone, without base. I use it to set the base, it helps the makeup stay longer than usual. Normally a little shine appears around my nose, but note that with the use of powder this occurs to a lesser extent. The rest of the makeup stays fresh. It manages to control the brightness for almost 6 hours, which is pretty good. In addition, it leaves a slightly matte appearance without drying out. In this case less is more. In conclusion, it seems to me a very good product, it does what it promises. Instantly blurs skin texture without any flashbacks.
I have medium skin tone with warm (yellow undertones) . Earlier bought Medium-Deep - yellow toned but two shades dark for me as well as Medium (pink undertone) . This is the perfect shade with the right undertone for me. This powder has been raved about and I certainly find this to be the best amongst the drugstore ones. Finely milled, no scent and doesn’t alter my foundation shade. It sets foundation very well, doesnt look cakey/powdery, doesnt oxidise and lasts long. It’s best applied with a very light hand using a brush to avoid looking cakey/heavy. A couple of negatives - it does settle into fine lines if one has dry skin (need to really moisturize prep the under-eye specifically) and it does tend to break up over the T-Zone after 3-4 hrs.
