Would probably also work with a blending sponge but I'm loving my puff. \nLook: I found this to be more of a medium coverage foundation, but I personally prefer that. It is potentially buildable but I did not try. It did not oxidise on my skin at all and the colour I had chosen worked perfectly for me. The finish was matte but not powdery - more like your skin after a swim at the beach, fresh and dry, than layered on makeup. I really loved this aspect too as I hate looking too done up or feeling my makeup on my skin. \nColour: I would recommend swatching it first in store, on your jawline and the bridge of your nose, because the online colour estimator would have had me in a shade several times darker than I needed. I did enjoy the fact that the estimator took into account undertones though, so that's a bonus. I probably also had this issue as I have quite a bit of skin redness in the central area of my face but a decently pale neck. If you do use the online shade finder, base it on how you look done up with your best foundation, not on how your bare skin looks. \nWear: it wears great! Lasted an entire day and an interstate flight without any issues. It didn't stain my clothes, only a minimal amount rubbed off on my nose where my glasses sit, and my face didn't go extra-oily as often happens with matte foundations. Overall, a great run with it in terms of wear. \nSkincare: this foundation is neither here nor there. It certainly didn't break me out, irritate my skin or further dry out my sensitive patches, but as with most pore-refining products, I thought it did clog up my pores a bit. It's a simple fix though - just remove with an oil based cleanser and follow up with a gentle scrub - even just gently rubbing your face with a towel after a shower will do. \nBest for: oily or combination skin babes who love the look of a BB cream but wanna rip out their hair at the lack of options in the your-skin-but-better market that are not shiny, dewy or oily. Also great for those used to matte, heavy coverage foundations like the famed EL Double Wear who are looking for a summertime/day off product. Honestly pretty much anyone could use this but I would be cautious if you have very dry, aging skin as matte foundations can often settle into lines and wrinkles. \n\nOverall, a good, reliable foundation. Huge shame it doesn't come in a pump bottle though - the only big drawback. \n

I usually only purchase and use department store and more "high-end" foundations but decided to give the Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless a try and I am pleasantly surprised! This foundation comes in a glass bottle, but unfortunately doesn't have a pump dispenser, therefore the bottle can get a bit messy because of this. Although there isn't a huge range of shades, I find the shade 120 Classic Ivory is the perfect match for my complexion and it blends in naturally with my skin tone. I am pleased that this foundation doesn't oxidise or turn orange by the end of the day; which is always a bonus if you have combination to oily skin like me! This foundation has a fairly light, fluid texture that applies smoothly and evenly. It has natural, buildable coverage that covers and conceals my acne scars well without looking heavy. Overall I find the coverage is medium to full, and it does help minimise the look of pores rather than emphasising them. It is easy to apply with fingertips or a sponge and it spreads evenly and doesn't set too quickly like many of the other oil-free or matte foundations I have tried. My only criticism is that it's not a long-wearing foundation as I find it starts to smudge-off by mid afternoon and I do tend to get a bit of a shiny T-zone; so it doesn't seem to absorb oil as well as it claims. Overall I would recommend this foundation to anyone with combination to oily skin who wants an inexpensive, lightweight foundation that provides decent coverage and is perfect for everyday wear. The finish is fairly matte so I doubt it would suit dry or mature skin types. I will continue to purchase this as I think it's great value for money and the Classic Ivory is the perfect shade for my complexion. \n\nPros:\nFairly inexpensive\nMost shades in the range are quite natural \nProvides medium to full coverage\nBlends easily and goes on smoothly\nMatte finish\n\nCons:\nGlass bottle with no pump, so it's not ideal for travelling!\nRunny texture and a bit messy to apply\nNo SPF protection\nLimited number of shade options\nDoesn't stay on all day long\n\n

As someone with freckled skin and pigmentation, I always feel more confident wearing a foundation that provides good coverage. For the last year I have been using a stick formula and so I was excited to try Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless liquid foundation in shade 112 Natural Ivory, to see how it compared. It was so easy to apply and blend with a damp beauty blender and I was amazed at what great coverage a small amount provided. It performed well both by itself and also over the top of the red and green colour correctors that I tend to use. I was pleasantly surprised that I was actually able to build enough coverage on my problem areas (red nose and dark eye circles) to be able to skip using the colour corrector at all, if I wanted to. It was also great to have the option of being able to use lighter coverage in other areas. I am quite conscious of the pores on my nose and found that I could use a regular primer as opposed to a pore-minimising primer, when using this foundation. The foundation also provided a beautiful matte finish that didn’t look dry or cracked, when applied over my regular primer. When I set it with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, it lasted the whole day. I found that despite the excellent coverage, the foundation still felt light to wear. The sample that I tried definitely suited my coverage needs, although I may try a warmer shade heading into summer. I highly recommend this foundation to anyone looking for a lasting medium to full-coverage foundation with a light feel and matt finish. \n

Yet another product I'm late to the party in using. Better late than never, right? As the name suggests, the Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation is formulated to keep oily skin at bay whilst giving the skin an airbrushed finish reducing the appearance of pores. \nThe foundation is packaged in a 30 ml rectangle shaped bottle that is glass, so feels a little more prestige for the Maybelline price tag. \nThe product has a thin consistency which is good because it _doesn't have a pump_. One of my pet hates is a foundation bottle without a pump, I just feel I waste too much product. Thankfully I can pour the foundation out fairly easily. The consistency is not too runny as to come out too quickly, yet isn't so thick as to need a pounding to tip out. \nBeing a thin ... MoreYet another product I'm late to the party in using. The consistency is not too runny as to come out too quickly, yet isn't so thick as to need a pounding to tip out. \nBeing a thin formula, I found it blended across my skin quickly and evenly. This foundation gives a medium coverage which can be built up. But for me personally, although it looks fine it feels like a drying mask on my skin. I am content with a medium coverage, anyway, I only applied an extra layer just to test it out. \nAs expected, I get a matte finish, but it's not flat and cakey looking, more a velvet finish which I prefer on my combination, yet dehydrated skin. I do have large pores and they don't look so pronounced. Also, the foundation doesn't initially settle into my fine lines. \nA few minutes after application the foundation begins to set, which I like. I don't feel the need for a finishing powder. \nAfter wearing for many hours, I do notice that my lines start becoming more visible, however, my pores remain reduced in appearance. As I get older it's obvious that my lines are becoming more prominent, so I can't fault the foundation for that. \nI am very happy with the affordable Maybelline Matte and Flawless Foundation, but please include a pump!\n
I have been really enjoying using the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless foundation in 220 Natural Beige. The product itself is housed in a nice glass bottle with a plastic black screw top lid. I would've probably liked it to have a subtle fragrance rather than an alcohol smell. \n\nI tried applied the foundation with both a brush and beauty sponge. I found using a sponge helped increase the coverage while using a brush resulted in more natural/sheer coverage. I like this about this foundation as I can make it more natural for everyday but also build coverage up for nights out and special occasions. I also liked that if you did build coverage it didn't look cakey or heavy which can happen with full coverage foundations. \n\nThe foundation did seem to last quite well on my skin with some patchiness after 8 hours of wear. Perhaps a setting spray would have helped increase the lasting power of this foundation. Overall a good everyday foundation but be sure to purchase a screw top pump to make it easier to dispense product out of the bottle. \n\n
I got the chance to test and review this foundation quite a while back, thanks Beautycrew, and now Maybelline has come out with more colours in the range and a revamped formula, I was lucky enough to get another bottle of this to try again. \n\nWhen I tried this previously, I liked it, didn’t really love it mainly because the bottle it comes in does not have a pump applicator which is a big fail for me as i think it’s so messy and unhygienic to dip your fingers into any makeup or skin care product, so I was disappointed that this feature has not been updated. Now for the foundation itself, was it any different in terms of colour perfection, coverage and how long it lasts in terms of wear?\n\nAfter double cleansing and applying serum moisturiser and primer, I dabbed on small dots on to my forehead cheeks chin and nose and blended outwards, first with the warmth of my fingers then buffed it to flawless perfection with my it cosmetics angled radiance brush. The colour I received was the same as last time, classic ivory, which was a pretty good match for my pale skin tone. It lasted all day long until my evening routine with no need for touching up and no caking, smudging or oil coming through. But just like the last time I tested this foundation, I liked it but didn’t love it. The colour and formula was exactly the same, nothing really different as far as I could tell and I do wish they had given it a pump applicator. And of course it claims to cover the appearance of pores dramatically but no skin care or makeup product can possibly do that. \n\nI really love getting products from Beautycrew to test and review, it’s my real passion in life, whether I like the product or not, I just love to tell people about it regardless. Still on the hunt for my HG foundation but I’m having so much fun in the meantime on this beautiful search. \n
This is an amazing and affordable foundation that provides perfect, natural coverage! I normally use department store brands, but my sister recommended this Maybelline foundation to me, as she uses it and loves it. I wasn’t sure it would suit my skin which can be a bit dry, and I thought it would look caked on like some other matte foundations I’ve used. \n\nThe first time I tried this foundation I was super impressed with it’s texture, finish, coverage and feel! I apply this foundation with a slightly damp makeup sponge as I think it gives me more sheer to medium coverage and doesn’t look heavy or like a mask. The coverage is easily buildable and you can get medium to full coverage. I also occasionally just dab some on with a foundation brush if I want even less coverage. The shade 120 is perfect for my complexion and it’s one of the few shades I’ve found that doesn’t look orange or yellow on me, so this is one of my favourite things about this foundation! \n\nThe staying power is good, I wouldn’t say it stays on as well as the long-wearing foundations I normally use. This one can smudge a bit throughout the day, but generally stays put for most of the day. In terms of pore minimising, I can’t really comment as luckily my pores are not too visible. It also isn’t completely matte either and applies semi matte, until I set it with my powder. \n\nThere is a good choice of natural looking shades that don’t seem to oxidise and turn orange after a couple of hours. The packaging is probably the one thing I dislike about this foundation as it comes in a glass bottle without a pump & you have to tip out the product. I would have liked a pump as it can get a bit messy to dispense and use. \n\nThis is a great performing everyday foundation, that provides natural, buildable coverage. It lasts reasonably well throughout the day and is easily removed with my micellar water cleanser and doesn’t dry out my skin. \n\nI would recommend this foundation for normal to slightly oily skin types who want medium to full coverage. It’s not completely matte, which I like and it looks really natural. It’s very reasonably priced and I think it outperforms some of the department store foundations I’ve used in the past. I will definitely be switching to this foundation, as I love the colour and coverage. \n\n
I was really impressed with this product. As someone with very pale skin I'm delighted that more and more brands are starting to offer a full spectrum of shades to suit all skin tones. I was initially dubious of Maybelline's online shade matching system but I was really pleased with my suggested match 105 Fair Ivory. This has been the best colour match I have found since my go-to BB Cream shade was discontinued earlier this year. I found this product did exactly what it promised. My fears of finding foundation too heavy and cakey after using BB Cream for 4+ years were unfounded. My fears of finding foundation too heavy and cakey after using BB Cream for 4+ years were unfounded. The finish on my skin was very light and understated - just how I like it - smoothing out the appearance of pores, diminishing the redness of blemishes and generally giving my skin a more flawless appearance. At the same time however, coverage remained natural, my freckles were still visible and my complexion kept a natural appearance. It was as easy to apply as a BB Cream, I used my fingers, leaving my skin feeling smooth and soft. This feeling remained throughout the day and held up well to a full 8 hour wear, no touch ups needed and no oily shine! Even areas where I normally struggle with some dryness (like my cheeks and the side of my nose) weren't a problem. I found I could build coverage where needed, even going without my usual concealer and primer some days (though the application was even better when I did use primer first). My only regret is the bottle - with no pump I fear a lot of product will be wasted as I get closer to finishing it, and I did find application messy. As a result I did end up using more product sometimes than I would have liked. I was so pleased with the shade I was sent, but I may investigate the other shades as this one maybe me left a me a touch TOO pale (never thought I'd say that ever!). Overall great product.
I bought this Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation many years ago. Although I am not using this foundation anymore I still loved the coverage it gave me. I couldn’t find the shade that matched my tone exactly so I had to buy two shades. I mixed them and I got my perfect shade. For the price you pay this is an amazing foundation they have a really good range of shades and gives you flawless skin. It’s not only on your skin and gives a nice glow. Highly recommend this Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
This has been my go to foundation for a couple of months now and I have to say- I have tried a LOT of pharmacy/'drugstore' foundations and this has to be one of my favourites! This foundation looks very flattering on the skin, it is marketed as a matte foundation and I was initially quite worried that it would look 'cakey' on the skin as some matte foundations do. However, I think that this foundation has much more of a satin finish and I find that as it warms up with your skin it tends to become glowier, thus by the end of the day the foundation looks slightly dewy. As mentioned, I would not really consider this a matte foundation as I have quite dry skin and it leaves a very natural-looking skin-like finish so if you are looking for a very matte foundation, this ... MoreThis has been my go to foundation for a couple of months now and I have to say- I have tried a LOT of pharmacy/'drugstore' foundations and this has to be one of my favourites! As mentioned, I would not really consider this a matte foundation as I have quite dry skin and it leaves a very natural-looking skin-like finish so if you are looking for a very matte foundation, this may not be the one for you. However, I can see this foundation working for a multitude of skin types, particularly if you have an oiler skin type I think this foundation would look amazing as it is that satin finish. \n\nI did agree with the claims that gives a 'poreless' look to the skin. I found that it really helped to smooth out the appearance of my skin. I do not have massive pores as I have quite dry skin however I found that it did not emphasise them as some foundations can tend to do. I also found that it smoothed over any texture I had on the surface of my skin, it did not cling to any drier areas or go patchy around my nose and looked overall very flawless. \n\nI also like that this is a very versatile foundation. It has a medium coverage, however you can use a brush to get a high-medium coverage or a damp beauty sponge to achieve a low-medium coverage. I have also discovered that it is a very buildable formula so if you want more coverage you can use a brush to add additional layers to particular areas which adds coverage without breaking up on itself or looking 'cakey'. I have also found that this is a great foundation to mix with your moisturiser to get a more bb cream/skin tint coverage. I mix a pump of foundation with a pump of my moisturiser (equal amounts), mix them on the back of my hand and then rub it into my skin using my fingers- I find the combination of the moisturiser and foundation create a sheer, more glowy tint (and the pore smoothing benefits of the foundation work well to smooth out the skin, creating a very natural base).\n\nMaybelline don't have the worlds best shade range of this product-I know Priceline carries around 15 shades which is not terrible, particularly for a drugstore brand, but is also not ideal. I use the shade 310 Sun Beige (in the Summer) and just bought Buff Beige for the winter months. However, it would be great to see some more variety in the darker shades to cater for all makeup wearers! The shades themselves are nice, they are nice and yellow toned and do not look too orange of my skin. However, I want to warn you that the foundation oxidises (goes darker) slightly after application so I would recommend going instore and trying it out if possible. \n\nI also wanted to comment on the scent as many foundations can have very powerful scents which I am not really a fan of. This foundation has a slight scent, which is not offensive but I find that as soon as it is applied to the face that slight scent just disappears. The packaging is one of the more negative points of the product as it does not come with a pump so you have to pour it out onto your hand or a palette, which can tend to get a little bit messy. \n
