Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer Light

I recently read a review on here that raved about this concealer. They said that they exclusively purchased/used high end makeup skincare, but that they were so impressed with this product, that it had far exceeded any/all expectations they had. But it didn’t just do better than expected, it had outperformed it’s pricier counterparts! Obvs, that’s the highest of praise. I have just started getting fine lines around my eyes, that’s in addition to my ongoing concerns- dark circles,freckles, hyperpigmentation, uneven + dull tone, etc.. I was hopeful that I could get results similar to those of the reviewer. Needless to say, I had to try it! The controlled dispensing into the awesome sponge applicator, love, love, ℒ𝒪𝒱ℰ. I was off to a great start… But, unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended- for me at least. Although the application was smooth, the coverage was far too light it most certainly settled into my fine lines (it did so right away, quite the fete). So disappointing. But, I persisted! Cause, well, I wanted to really give it a fair try- prob more so that I didn’t want to accept that it didn’t work for me- so I tried a few more times but each time changing a part of my routine (diff primer, skipping serum, etc), in hopes that I’d see different results. I didn’t. I gave it the three stars because the applicator is so awesome, that it seems that many others had a far more positive experience. But, for me anyway, it’s a big, fat, loud, resounding, 𝒩𝒪.

It's not cakey but it's full enough coverage that you can cover those dark circles and with a good setting powder it'll stay put as long as you do. No need for touch ups. It's the best drugstore conxealer on the market, believe me, I've tried them all, and it's better than a lot of the high end stuff. It also works well paired with tarte's timeless smoothing primer and Nar's translucent setting powder, though my fav primers thus far are Hourglass's No. 28 primer serum and Smashbox Photo Finish Smooth Blur , though Benefit Porefessional hydrating primer is great too. Keep in mind, these primers are geared toward dry skin with fine lines, blemishes or large pores. For younger women with blesh-free normal to oily skin, Hourglass Mineral Veil is a great place to start and MAC has a Strobe Cream that gives a luminous glow in a few different shades. Either way,it would be hard to beat this product for light or medium coverage. It is buildable too. If you need really heavy coverage, try Tarte's Creaseless concealer. It's heavier, but a good product, still, I think I'd try this first, and since it is buildable, I've also had sucess layering the two above concealers ❤️together!

Best Under Eye Concealer Ever...(& I've tried most😩)

I use this concealer under my eyes to cover dark areas and brighten for a more youthful look. I have combo skin and could never find that holy grail concealer that completely covers, doesn't enhance (or create the look of more) wrinkles in my 40+ skin, and stays smooth/hydrated all day even with a mask on in hot weather. This concealer is IT!!! I absolutely L O V E this concealer for its extreme pigment, beautiful spot-on color selection (I wear 42N) that gives juuuuuust enough yellow and finally not a red clay, dried look. The key is to apply with a light hand- this stuff is PIGMENTED. Dab a few spots and work quickly under the eyes, I use a flat make up brush to smooth and pat onto my moisturized skin. You don't even 'need' to set this stuff, it actually sets by itself. Instant results, 100% full & lasting coverage, I can't be without this product and I feel 100% decided on it!! Great feeling to have when your under eye concealer search is officially over, that was an exhausting journey lol!! I have used this Maybelline New York instant age rewind eraser/concealer for a few weeks on a daily basis to test the results! It really helps with covering dark circles under the eyes. I have also used it for some other dark spots/ blemishes left after acne. It helped me to highlight some areas of my face and make my make up look more fresh, bright and shiny. It's good for color and shape correction. I do love the results of using this concealer! It is really good and the shade 160 suits me so well. Sometimes when the sponge gets too much concealer, I used another brush or the top of my finger to take some amount off, so that it looks more natural! Another thing, you will have to moisturize your face well before using it, especially if you have dry type of skin. Natural Finish, Minimal Creasing, Light Weight (Pro/Con)

I've been getting back into makeup after two years of not really needing to due to facial decoration mandates, and I've been finding my eyes are creasing much more than they used to. Could be partly because I'm terrible at maintaining a skin care routine. While I'm only 32, just a few years ago I was mistaken for a high school student while attending my young sister's football game (she was a cheerleader). But my undereyes have always been dark and they also have these tiny little bumps. Anyway, all my concealers have been looking terrible lately. I even tried a Nars one that looked great the first day I tried it (minimal creasing on my right eye, my worst one), and barely any on my left eye. But now it just breaks apart on the largest fold on my right eye. It blends well with a sponge or a brush (though my undereye area has been making all of them look somewhat patchy lately, this one less so); it doesn't break apart too much; most days I get a nice natural finish (more eye cream = less dry finish); and it feels very light weight (this also seems to mean that the coverage is fairly light. I don't mind sometimes, but it will take layering if you want more coverage). The applicator isn't my favorite, but it's kind of nice that I don't need to put it on my fingers if I'm in a hurry. My other newish favorite is Loreal Eye Cream in a Concealer, but this one is cheaper. It's been working well for me for about 4 years, so I will continue to have this one on hand as my reliable concealer.

Quality concealer for fair skin

I bought the lightest shade for my light redhead skin tone. My foundation match is Tarte 8 or 10b or Too-Faced Cloud.- Pros: blends well, sheer enough to look natural, good for side of the nose redness, undereyes shadows, light scars, sensitive skin friendly, lasts, no creasing-Cons: shade range- Bottom line: Recommended for everyday coverage. Undereye concealing, but not brightening-Tips for use: 1. Skin prep is necessary. At least moisturize, but even better would be with HA serum and a ceramide moisturizer (like FAB or Pacifica vegan collagen and ceramide) on damp skin. Sticky primer for spot concealing (dark spots, zits, small scars.) Blurring or moisturizing primer for larger areas (undereyes, chin) that need blending out.2 . Works for my 'shadow' dark circles...

I don't get dark circles very often, but when I do (always guaranteed after a night out!), this is what I end up using the following morning when the dehydration starts to show on my skin. Mine are not caused by pigmentation, so I can't comment on how well it works for that. In my case it's more like a (temporary) shadow. The coverage is medium - which is sufficient for me and has a light texture that looks great once blended in, whilst doing a good job at concealing the dark circles. It's hydrating, yet not shiny, and doesn't feel cakey or drying in any way. I'm not a big fan of the applicator though, and prefer using my fingers to blend this in.
