Maybelline Tattoo Liner Gel Eyeliner Pencil - Deep Onyx

I receive the metallic night shade. It's basically a darkest black eyeliner. This gel liner exceeds my expectation. I wore it for a whole day long when I had an outdoor activity in the 90 degrees Fahrenheit heat and when I got home, my eyeliner was still perfect. There was absolutely no smudge even though I rubbed my eyes a couple times throughout the day. Water would not be able to remove the gel liner completely. I had to use eye makeup remover to remove it. This is absolutely perfect if you need to maintain a perfect eyeline throughout the day. Sweat, water or even if you have an oily eyelids, this gel pencil will does its job to keep your eyeliner remains perfect.

I received this product in a shade called a rose quartz, which isn’t a shade I would usually choose for myself, but I am still very happy with the results. This gel/pencil eyeliner really does tattoo onto your eyelids. The color is vibrant and sparkly, and it does hold for hours on end. Even through sweat and me rubbing my eyelids every now and then, the main line stayed on my face. I even tried to deliberately rub off the eyeliner with my fingers, and a little bit of sparkly residue was on my finger, but the general lining stayed on my eyelid. The glitters don’t budge (the video is just glitters from previous eyeshadow swatches) and the color itself is gorgeous. It’s such a beautiful bronze shade, I use it on my water line, over my eye shadow, and even as highlighter! I went to the pool and sweat ALL day and it did NOT budge. I didn’t even need a setting spray!! This stuff glides on like creamy butter, and locks in place for an everyday, all day wear. I received these products for free from Influenster and Maybelline in exchange for my honest review. I had never used a neutral or in this case metallic bronze (bronze glitz) eye liner and the options it opens for different looks and super quick but effective full on makeup is perfect! I am now a true, lifetime fan! This draws on fine or thick for use as an eyeliner or eye shadow and can be "smudged" to your desire for the first few seconds, before it "sets". Once it sets, it really is waterproof! What I like especially about this product is, whichever color depth you choose to apply, soft or deep, the product itself is LIGHTWEIGHT, therefore getting color without the heavy look of liner, making for brighter eye! I've never used a waterproof eyeliner before. I'm turning 50 next month and I've gotten more conscious of the skin around my eyes. I'm not ok with roughly wiping off eyeliner or mascara with my fingers anymore. I thought I'd give this a try, and the first time I used it I thought "Why did I wait so long?!?" It doesn't run or smudge and no more raccoon eyes!I'm not a makeup expert but I know what I like and this eyeliner is really easy to apply and get the look I want. It's also easy to take off at night. I use water and a reusable makeup removing cloth to remove my makeup. My mascara is waterproof so I wasn't too worried about removing this eyeliner. Love the color, don’t understand the upkeep.

This color is amazing! I love how smooth it goes on, how long it lasts, and how it makes my eyes pop. So why did I only give it 3 stars? For some reason, which seems to be confusing many reviewers, there is no way to sharpen this eyeliner besides using a pencil sharpener. Every other modern day eyeliner I have used since the 2000’s (from all the major brands) has a self contained sharpener in the eyeliner. Why kind of woman or man is running around with a pencil sharpener in their purse? Could you imagine touching up your eyeliner in the bathroom of a restaurant/club/bar/etc, but having to pull out a pencil sharpener in order to get the best look for the evening? Love this eyeliner! It stays in place!

This eyeliner is great! I like to wear eyeliner on my top lid only (just above my lashes) and then tight line the upper lid. I usually have an issue with eyeliner smudging or transferring to to the crease of my upper lid. This does not! It stay in place, all day, wonderfully for me. What I don't understand is all the reviews saying that all the product you get is just the tip and that this pencil can't be sharpened. Logically...does it even make sense that an eyeliner would be only what is in the tip?! The answer is no...that is not logical. Second, this pencil can definitely be sharpened and I have sharpened it just fine. I'm guessing because the case of the pencil is/looks like a more plastic type material people look and it and assume it can't be sharpened? This ... MoreThis eyeliner is great! Nice Low Key Eyeliner

I received this TattooStudio Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Bronze Glitz, by Mabelline via a Free Product Promotion.As an older woman with some visual restrictions, I don't normally wear eyeliner, as I find it too difficult to apply. Pleased to say that the creamy texture of this eyeliner made application easier than other pencils I have tried. Terrible product

At first, it seemed there was no way to refresh the tip on this pencil. Not believing that a product like this could be so restricted, had to search on line to find out how to refresh the tip. Eventually, I found out only to discover that most completely ridiculous process which is, in fact, almost impossible to do. Beggars belief anyone could come up with such a daft idea let alone have it authorised into production. In the slightest warmth, the liner smudges. You can no doubt imagine what the result was during these last few days of exceptionally high temperatures. Absolute waste of time and money. Far better products on the market which I will now go and purchase because the Maybelline New York Tattooliner is now in the bin.

You have to sharpen it???? What even????

Honestly, I cannot imagine that the product developer had the option of making this a self-sharpening eye-liner - we've had the technology for many years - but decided to make it messy, inefficient and generally terrible to use. As if that is what the modern woman wants while living a busy life - having to sharpen her eyeliner with a pencil sharpener. I bought THREE of them because i liked the colour and i couldn't find my usual brand of self-sharpening eye liner, never suspecting for a moment that these would be from the middle ages and needed a pencil sharpener. I am so disappointed and sorry that I have THREE of these dismal things.
