McCain Frozen Healthy Choice Straight Cut Potato Chips 1kg

I tell myself that because the name contains "Healthy Choice" they are. They taste great and when cooked in the air fryer are just awesome.

These are our favourite frozen chips. They are the best tasting ones, and go perfectly with sauce, gravy, or just salt. Even though they have a low amount of oil compared to other frozen chips, they are still super crunchy (but without that horrible oilyness!)

Soggy flabby chips - not at all crunchy particularly if you follow the heating instructions.

Great for a quick fish and chip "takeaway" dinner. They do take longer to cook than the instructions suggest. Good value for money.

Good alternative to making chips for when time is limited. Less coating than other chip options so they do seem like a slightly healthier option than everything else available.

Have been trying a range of oven fries lately. There are some great ones out there that I actually prefer to deep fried home made chips. But the McCain ones are not these. If for some reason you liked the first oven fries that came out in the 80s then you'll love these. They just don't crisp up like other brands of oven fries. Soggy and flavourless.

Not terribly keen on oven chips, but keep some at hand for lazy dinners. These are good as far as oven chips go. Good quality.

These already have a 4. 5 star health rating because of the oil choice, but then when I air fry them, I feel totally justified in indulging in the old favourite.
