My daughter lives in England and got me these as a treat. I looked everywhere, but could only find these online. Amazon and Walmart are the same price and the seller offers free shipping. These are THE most delicious tea biscuits that I have ever tasted! The cost in the UK is about $1.22 a pack, but they're over $8 a pack here due to shipping tariffs/taxes. etc.

I have not eaten these for many years as I adopted a life style, shall we say, in which I no longer ate products made with porcine gelatine. Jaffer Cakes were among such products. Some years ago, I learnt that Jaffer Cakes, as well as many other products, abandoned the use of porcine gelatine as an ingredient in their products. Nevertheless, I was not moved at all to purchase Jaffer Cakes as I have since become an adult. Yet on my last online shop, I saw these and thought what the hey, and bought some. So, what do I think Just as nice as I remember them, they are indeed a classic treat, albeit smaller in circumference than I remember another sign of the times perhaps

I rarely buy chocolate biscuits as my favourite biscuit is a good, old fashioned plain digestive. However, I read a very favourable review on these biscuits in a well known newspapers magazine that came with its Saturday edition. I decided to buy them on my next visit to Waitrose and I am glad I did. The product is excellent. The biscuit has the right amount of snap and crunch and the chocolate covering is good. I will buy again and will try the dark chocolate version next time. The price represents very good value for money.

These are really good basic value chocolate biscuits, at 85p fir a packet. Theyre just like Mcvities and it is hard to tell the difference but theyre great for a dunk in a coffee. I love nothing more than elevenses with a coffee and a chocolate digestive and these really do fulfil that requirement. Have bought more since as theyre really good value. Would definitely recommend these.

its not big or brash, no chocolate, no oats, its an old school biscuit, and its one of the best there is. I cant have them too often, whatever witch craft is baked into them hooks me right in. You can try and limit yourself to two per sitting, but you will try in vain..by the time the spell is over you have eaten 4, and realize all you can do is move the pack out of sight. One of the problems is that they are quite a small thinish biscuit, so you can bolt them down quite quickly, so quickly you dont even realize you have eaten one. An absolute stonker of a biscuit!

Growing up in the US, I was unaware of the awesomeness that is McVitie’s milk chocolate digestive biscuits. When I moved to England, these fantastic treats were one of the first things I discovered at the grocery store. The word “digestive” had me worried at first. But they are actually a shortbread cookie covered on one side by a layer of delectable chocolate. They are so delicious! Try one, you will not be disappointed! Sadly, I didn’t take any pictures of them, hence the picture of the Houses of Parliament in London.

I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. McVitie's Digestives are absolutely Delicious! The entire family like these simple digestive cookies, which go beautifully with a cup of tea. The biscuits have been a wonderful addition to my own baking, especially as a crisp topping for cupcakes. Without dominating other flavours, they just add a tiny bit more flavour.

Thanks to influenster, I was able to test this product in exchange for my honest review. These biscuits are very delicious, lightweight and crunchy they don't make you feel too full after eating them. Not too sweet or salty, they can also be enjoyed by themselves or with your morning tea. Suitable to use when baking or making desserts as you can easily break them down with your hands or using a blender. All the above makes these biscuits a perfect addition to your kitchen cupboards!

Not as nice as they used to be
11 February 2023

I decided to treat myself to a packet of biscuits, a rare treat these days. Seeing that McVitie's were on offer I thought id have a pack, they are nothing like they used to be, what was once a nice thick crumbly digestive with a thick layer of chocolate on top has now become a thin tasteless dry biscuit with the thinnest layer of chocolate possible. Far from being a treat, even the birds are turning their beaks at them! I certainly wont be buying these again.

Something not quite right
27 August 2022

I had switched to Asda's own dark chocolate digestives as they tasted just like McVitie's but at half the price, but they discontinued them for some reason, so when I saw these on offer at a vaguely reasonable price I thought I'd treat myself. Sadly they don't quite live up to my memory of either McVitie's or Asda's. There's a slight but distinct coconut flavour, and the chocolate has an almost oily texture. I guess if you like coconut and you're melting the chocolate by dunking in a cuppa then it'd be fine, but it totally ruins the biscuit for me.
