McVitie's White Chocolate Digestives Biscuits 232G

If I could McVities White Chocolate Digestives a 10 star I would. I was in England a few months ago and while in Sainsbury’s I seen the White Chocolate Digestives. I had never tried them before but I knew from liking the original and milk chocolate digestives these would be over the top awesome tasting. Knowing I would not be seeing them in the states any time soon I picked up 12 packages of them (still had not tried them at that point). We I have since tried them of course. If you are a white chocolate fan this will be a must try biscuit for sure. It has a very light creamy white chocolate on the top that once you bite into it it melts in your mouth. By far the best digestive around. They also freeze very good.

Everyone knows what a McVities Digestive tastes like I’m sure. They are a crunchy biscuit which is made even better by the addition of various toppings. My daughter isn’t a fan of milk or dark chocolate so she absolutely loved these white chocolate digestives. She described them as “a normal digestive biscuit with really nice chocolate. Biscuit seems really good quality.” My partner who prefers dark, expensive chocolate said they were nice, but he didn’t love them as much as my daughter. These are probably her new favourite biscuit. They aren’t really posh gourmet chocolate or biscuit, but she likes them better for that. They are good for an every day munch.

I’ve never thought of buying white chocolate digestives before as I believed digestives should be milk chocolate only. But these were actually really nice, they almost tasted like cheesecake without the cheese. They weren’t overly sweet so you could easily gobble up 2-3 in one go. I would definitely buy these again. My dad who is usually quite picky, surprisingly liked them too so that’s a bonus to buy more.

The white digestive is a great addition to the McVities family. The chocolate is evenly spread and not too heavy on the biscuit allowing you to still enjoy the digestive taste and texture. The package size is fair and simple which catches shopper attention but like many products these days the biscuits are on the small side!

Oh wow has anyone tried these new biscuits by McVities? They are just beautiful, on par with the milk chocolate ones for me. Haven’t tried the dunk test yet but I’m feeling hopeful!!! Definitely recommend them especially for any white chocolate lovers or if you have a secret stash of biscuits hidden away these are perfect for you.

Good, tasty

These were lovely, I expected them not to be but was surprised. The chocolate isnt a huge thick layer mcvities must be scrimping on how much chocolate they use now...like most companies I guess BUT the taste of the biscuits were great. This is one biscuit that has not gone down in quality. It seems like they have stuck to the original recipe. I think I would ofrefere these to the dark chocolate ones and they are just as good as the milk chocolate ones. They were very very tasty. I tend to eat very healthy but I think if I buy chocolate biscuits again these would be my go to biscuit.

Not what you’d expect

I thought these would be too sweet but oh my goodness these are the tastiest digestives going. Far better than the milk chocolate and dark chocolate ones. Not too sweet at all! The white chocolate goes so well with the oaty biscuit base. Try one and you’ll be hooked.

Unidentical twin

I am reviewing this product because I received a coupon from Ocado. I expected these to be a white chocolate version of McVitie's milk chocolate digestives but they're rather different. They're smaller and the biscuit is less crumbly/digestivy in texture and taste.The coating of chocolate is also thinner and less sweet. Enjoyable enough biscuits but would have scored better had they mirrored the milk chocolate version.

Very Disappointing

I thought that I would give the White Chocolate Digestives a try as they are new and had 20% discount. Very disappointing experience - I wasn't able to taste the 'white chocolate' at all. Tastes just like a very sweet digestive.Also, the pack size is smaller 232g (81.9p/100g), as opposed to the milk or dark chocolate digestives which are 266g (71.4p/1006), making these this new variety very poor value.

great sweet treat!

When I was a child McVities chocolate digestives were always a family favourite, they remind me of my lovely Mum. Ocado asked me to review these so we took them with us when we stayed with friends over the weekend. Everyone agreed, kids and adults, not as sweet as the milk chocolate ones, delicious as the biscuit flavour seems to be enhanced by the white chocolate! Well done, a new family favourite!
