At first I was confused as to which order to use the product. I’ve always used serum under moisturiser but anything tinted after. I used this product after the moisturiser as it seemed pointless beforehand.I loved how easy the product went on my skin however I did find some areas around my nose and lower cheeks seemed a little flaky/dry looking. I added some of my own tinted moisturiser over the top.As a busy mum I love tinted products that require minimal maintenance and this product was great for that. If I was in a hurry I could just slap this on and go.I found the dropper unnecessary and a bit of a waste, also a bit difficult to use. I love a light makeup look for when I’m off duty, and this serum skin tint is perfect for that. The consistency is beautiful - it reminds me of the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face Brightening Sun Serum. I apply with fingers, then finish off with a foundation brush to work it in. It makes my 41-year-old dry skin feel extremely comfortable, and I think I have noticed a slight clearing of the skin since using it. My photo shows it on its own, and the video shows it lightly powdered, to set. I don’t have to use any highlighter with it, as it gives me a beautiful glow. The shade I’ve got (145) is slightly too yellow for my skin, however because it’s so sheer, I can make it work by pulling it down my neck. I was recently invited to trial and review Mecca Max Off Duty Serum Skin Tint, which boasts about its hydrating value. As someone who has combination skin, with particularly dry areas, I had high hopes for this product and whilst it did have its share of strengths there were some drawbacks which I couldn't ignore. The tint is thin, so seemed to seep into all of the dry cracks in my skin which made it appear worse then usual. I attempted both with and without skin primer and unfortunately both did not seem to help in this regard. On my combination skin, the areas that were normal or oily looked perfect though. The dropper is great too. Product itself is more watery but decent coverage!I tried applying it with my fingers, a brush and a sponge. I MUCH prefer the sponge; it takes away the coverage a little, but it builds very nicely so it wasn't an issue...with the sponge it really sunk in and looked just like skin. The Mecca Max Serum Skin Tint gives the same lightweight, skin-like finish, but would be better suited to drier skins. I was surprised by the coverage I got with the Skin Tint - it definitely evened out my skin tone and covered some of my lighter redness. It was sheer enough to look natural but you will need something heavier to cover dark circles and blemishes. It also felt like more of an oil-based rather than water-based serum. While this meant it kept a natural, dewy finish, I did find this skin tint transferred very easily and I did look oily in my T zone by the end of the day, so I would recommend this more for dry to normal skins.
