I’m leaving a review for the 3 pack of bottles. I did find these at an amazing price that’s why I picked them up to try out. I purchased the three pack for $6.50 at a local baby/kids shop. The quality of the bottles feel just OKAY, the plastic feels like it can warp easily. All the other bottle brands I’ve used are a harder type of plastic in comparison to these. You can literally press on the bottle and it squeezes in a bit. My ultimate test was how fast the milk would pour out of the nipples and these almost come out wayyyy too fast for my daughter, I think I’ll have to try these again in a couple of months because she’s gulping the milk down too fast/ the milk is dripping out too quickly for her to drink.

I hesitated buying these bottles because of the reviews on Amazon that warned about the warping when sanitizing and warming for milk. Some reviewers were in disbelief at the poor quality and suggested that maybe these bottles were not really from Medela. I have been using Medela bottles since 2016 and never had issues with warping so I was shocked today when I bought a new set to store my breastmilk and noticed they warped when I sanitized them in boiling water. As I picked them out using tongs, the tongs were reshaping the bottles! The weakest points of the bottles are at the bottom. Medela has been a brand that I trusted for years. This was the second bottle we trialled to use for my son, being gifted this brand. I was not able to breastfeed so did not use them to store breast milk however used bottles with formula feeds. The lids that came with them were perfect for outings with twins and having water prepared to make bottles when out, they also fit in nicely in the bottle section of the baby bag.

I first started using medela back in 2017 with my first baby when I was exclusively pumping. These acted as my storage bottles for breastmilk. A few years later I had another baby and the bottles held up over time really well! They still looked almost brand new. I got another set in 2022 for my third baby and the quality hasn’t changed. Great bottles that stand up to regular usage, don’t leak and are worth the money!
I love that these bottles connect to my pump but also that they are a great size for storing milk from my handsfree pump. I think a lot of mums would find these convenient and easy to use. I have never had leaks from these bottles and have bought multiple sets.
I pumped milk every 3 hours for my first and had to store my milk in the fridge/freezer and I was recommended to use these and they were fantastic. They didn’t spill or leak when going from fridge to freezer to defrosting. They are worth the price and great quality - an amazing product. I highly recommend!
I have been pumping at work for a little over 3 months now and using the Medela sterilization bags. The other day, I noticed after a session, that when I picked one of the bottles up, there was a puddle of milk under it. I thought maybe I spilled a little when changing the top, but after I dried the bottom off, there was quickly another puddle, meaning there's a leak in the bottom of the bottle - wasting my precious milk! I marked this bottle so I wouldn't use it again, and then today I had the same thing happen with yet another bottle! This means that it was not a fluke with the first bottle, but that these are actually just very poor quality bottles and it makes me question using them from this point on. What is going on, Medela? Very disappointed.
I recived a Medela breast pump at the hospital and quickly realized it had limited supplies. I ordered more bottles so I would have more flexibility to pump and have time to wash and sterilize my bottles between uses. They wash and sterilize without issue. My favorite part is the easy to reas measurements. Huge improvement from the debossed measurements on my original bottles.
I just bought these bottles yesterday (6 5-oz bottles), and my husband immediately cleaned and sanitized them. He didn't inspect them prior, but when I took them out to prep for use I noticed that 2 of the bottles had thinner plastic and one even had a permanent dent in the side. The other 4 bottles seem sturdy, so hopefully they continue to hold up, but I am not impressed by the inconsistent quality. I am concerned that the thinner plastic bottles are defective and may not withstand continued sterilization or worse, pose a potential danger to my newborn. I will be avoiding use of those 2 bottles out of the 6.
I will first start off stating I have done my research with bottles and reading as many reviews ad I could before settling on this bottle brand. From the very first time I used these bottles they leaked resulting in holding a sticky bottle. I first thought it was just me getting water on the outside of the bottle but then with increased use it got worse. I tried to fix the issue by making sure the lid was on tight and properly but then noticed it didn't matter how tight I put the lid on, the treads would cross tread resulting in the nipple and cap to sit crooked. I began to notice the bottle became thinner feeling with increased use of the medela steam bag. I also noticed during feedings the nipple inverts due to no venting ehich causes increased gas and air swallowing by my son. I switched to a vented bottle and the first feeding noticed less fussiness/uncomfortableness after the feeding with less burps during burping. I wouldn't recommend these bottles instead something that is better vented and made especially for the cost. I have found there are better bottles out there that are less expensive.
