I’m a stay-at-home mom of 4 and there is always something for me to do. I mostly feed my baby by means of nursing but it is helpful to have bottles of milk on hand for when I’m running errands or having some me-time and someone else in charge. It can be hard to find extra time to sit and pump to get that milk though and having a hands free pumping bra makes it much easier to find the time! When I received the Medela Hands Free Bra, courtesy of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was concerned by the looks that the bra would be too small but it fit perfect once I tried it on! It was tight enough to hold in place but not so tight it was restricting or uncomfortable! When pumping with this bra, I had to the freedom to still do household tasks or even just sit for a few minutes without having to hold a pump in place! This bra did very well keeping the flanges in place and did not move while in use. My only complaints are that- 1) it was a little difficult to get it on the first few times. There a little clips to connect before zipping and I found it cumbersome to have to stretch the bra to get the clips halves together and then zip it up after as well was still a little difficult. With each use though, it became much easier to do. And 2) where the fabric crosses to hold the flange in place, there is a small stitch. It is small enough there is another smaller opening underneath when and on first use I thought THIS was the flange opening! It was big enough that I could get the flange through but very difficult to get it out when I realized my mistake! I understand that was 100% user error but it was the first opening I found and I think having a little large stitch to make this opening smaller would make the bra more user friendly. I know my complaints were small but I felt they were worth mentioning.Overall, I had a great experience pumping with this bra and would recommend it to friends!

I received this Medela hands free pumping bustier through a Stellar product testing panel. First, keep in mind this is a bustier. I like that I can use it strapless and easily throw on without taking off my shirt and nursing bra, but as someone who’s a larger cup size, it’s not a bra that’s going to offer any support and I wouldn’t wear it all day as my primary bra. Overall, the quality of the bustier is great! The fabric is lighter than some of my other pumping bustiers which I love for summer. There is also a clasp at the top of the zipper to keep it closed - a feature I wish some of my other pumping bustiers had! The flange slits are cut to accommodate a range of different flange brands, both hard plastic and silicone and the flanges fit securely in the bustier. ... The flange slits are cut to accommodate a range of different flange brands, both hard plastic and silicone and the flanges fit securely in the bustier. Despite the lighter weight fabric, the overlapping material in the flange area combined with elastic in the band keep me feeling secure, even when my pumping bottles are full. There are just two things that I wish were different about this bustier. First, it’s long. I think it’s cut to be more of a longline type bra vs. a regular bra and I have a short torso. This causes the zipper area to buckle weird as the rest of the bustier bunches up from the bottom and just feels like there’s way too much fabric. Obviously this is body type dependent and others may love the longer lines of this bustier. Second, the band isn’t adjustable. This bustier comes in multiple sizes. That’s great and if I’m full, the band fits snugly and works fine. However, if I’m not as full (pumping between nursing sessions, etc) the band is a little loose. Having Velcro or hooks or another way to make smaller adjustments to band sizes throughout the day would be a huge upgrade! Overall the positives outweigh the negatives and this bustier has made it into my routine pumping rotation. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a lighter pumping bustier and with a few minor tweaks, I’d probably be replacing all my other pumping bustiers with this style!

I also loved the fabric - how soft it felt against my skin, how well it washed, and how secure it felt to ensure my pump my in place while in use. I also loved how easy it was to adjust the openings to accommodate my flanges once on with an easy to slide slit design. Furthermore, this slit design didn't expose my breast / nipples when the flanges were removed so I didn't feel worried if an unannounced visitor showed up on a whim while wearing the bra. Basically put, this pumping bra has changed my pumping life for the good. I find it a necessity for being the best pumping momma I can be.

Unfortunately, I was unable to use this product. I think my issue was because I have larger breasts (38DD). I had a friend with smaller breast try it and she loved it.The PROs: The material is very soft and breathable. It has a hook at the top of the zipper, which may be good for some to zip up easier. Machine washable for easy cleaning. Your hands are free. The CONs: I went off the size chart and got my usual size, however it was a bit difficult to zip up, it might have been a little small. I don't think sizing up would have helped because my other issue was that it kept sliding down because my breasts are heavy. Which made the breast shield for my pump keep losing suction. That made it difficult to truly be hands free because I was constantly adjust the bra and ... MoreUnfortunately, I was unable to use this product. However, a smaller breasted person should be able to use this product with ease! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for this sample!
This Medela hands free pumping garment bra is very soft, very sleek and easy to put on. For me, that is where the pros really ended. I am not a fan of the plastic clasp that is supposed to help you zipper it up. I could hardly get it to stay together. The garment definitely runs small, I got a medium even though I wear a small t-shirt and it’s still tight! Snug is good but this is squish my boobs tight. I am a large b/small c cup and I really had trouble using this with my flanges, I felt so squished. I felt like I couldn’t get a good flow because it was so tight and I couldn’t get comfortable. I can’t imagine how someone with breasts larger than mine could work with this. The slits for the flanges cut to the sides rather than right down the middle. I think this is ... A good attempt at a nursing garment they have the fabric right but could definitely use some improvements. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for this pumping garment to review.
I exclusively pump and, if nursing is like having a full time job, EP is like involuntary overtime. It is tiring and hard work, but it is also what works for our family, so here I am.That being said, I need to make this extra task as easy and quick as possible. So add in 5 extra wardrobe changes a day and you’ll want nothing but throw in the towel. The garment cannot be used all day, it’s tight (great for holding regular flanges in place, horrible for under-the-T-shirt looks) and looks weird with every top and dress I own.Giving it 2 stars because it does its job: holds the flanges in place and also because it is soft. One star is gone because of how impractical it is having to change into it every time you need to pump, another because it is hard to fit the ... Yes, the zipper design keeps making noise during the entire session (I tried a few different pumps and flanges with it; all of them made the same noise, not just the vibration based pumps.). It is so annoying and discouraging to have yet another thing make noise while you pump. You can see the naked zipper on the picture I attached. I believe it would be easy for the manufacturer to fix this; maybe a zipper cover like those you find on infant pjs?Long story short: maybe it’s a good fit for someone that pumps every now and then. Look for a different option if you pump a few times a day.I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try and review.
Listen... who WANTS to pump, really? No one wants to pump. We HAVE to pump... but when we have to pump, you want everything to be easy. You don't want any fuss. This Medela bra is your new go-to. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it was something that had to go on and off. I loved it so much that I wish they would make a bra that could be worn all the time AND I could use to pump.My only other feedback is to make sure to do your laundry right after you pump because you don't want to be looking for your bra and realize it's in the wash. I made the mistake of washing this and forgetting that I needed to pump and had to wear a different bra... WHAT A MISTAKE! Would not make again. So go out, buy this, and then buy another because you will love it so much!
I was very pleasantly surprised that the Medela Hands Free Pumping Garment Bra was so true to size. I am VERY large chested and was skeptical to follow the sizing chart because nothing ever fits me properly. I am so glad I followed with what the sizing chart suggested because the bra fits perfectly AND is extremely comfortable compared to my other hands free pumping bustier. It isn’t important to me what my pump bra looks like but it is lightweight, breathable and keeps my pump in place without feeling too tight which matters most to me. While using the pumping bustier at work multiple times a day, it allows me to have the mobility to get things done while pumping instead of just sitting around waiting the 20 or so minutes. Thank you Stellar Review Testing Panel for sending me the medela hands free pumping garment bra.I am a mom of 2 and being hands free while pumping is a must.I pump when I’m away from baby, which includes when I’m at work. When I first tried the garment I was in a rush trying to fit the pumping into my work day, and was frustrated because I had trouble getting it fastened. Eventually I got it to clip and it did a good job of keeping my pumping flanges in place.During work I’m usually sitting at my computer or scrolling social media on my phone, so this is helpful so I don’t need to hold my pumps into place. This garment works fine, but to be honest it does take me time to get it on, and when I’m at work those precious minutes are wasted. Having a pumping bra where I don’t need to add another piece on is what I prefer because usually I’m in a rush to hurry and pump and get back to my work day.I do see how it could be helpful around the house so that I can be doing other stuff while I pump, but I still think a pumping bra is better and I wouldn’t continue using this product. However I do know pumping bras are more expensive than this garment, so if this is a better price point for you, then I recommend it because it’s better than nothing.
I was sent this pumping bustier as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, which was wonderful as I needed a second one to keep at work. The material of the bustier is light and thin and loose-fittting around the bust everywhere except the top and bottom elastic banding. The bustier has a clip at the top to help hold it close while you zip it together which is very helpful compared to other pumping bras I've used. Once zipped I did find that the flanges are closer together than I would prefer, making me have to contort my breasts at a weird angle to fit them properly though the holes. When I pump I have to massage and work out the milk to be successful, so I am sitting and listening to podcasts. I found with this bustier that the banding is too loose all-around and it begins to sag as more milk fills the bottles, as shown in my photos. I find myself pulling up the top band multiple times during my 10 minute pumping sessions. I cannot imagine how much more it would slide down if I were trying to walk around or do chores while pumping.Overall I like the clip to help zip the bustier and I like the thinner material but I wish it fit better in the banding and that the flange holes were better placed for my body. For reference I am generally a 32C/34B bra size and am using a size small bustier.
