Medela Solo Hands-free Single Electric Breast Pump

Since starting my breastfeeding journey I have always opted to use medela pumps. Its only in the last couple of weeks that I've been trying and using the medela Solo Hands free pump and I'd rate it higher than the double swing pump and on par with the manual pump. The hands free solo pump, is as it says, hands free and easy to use. Although when it says it fits into most nursing bras, I really struggled to fit it in mine and found the cup to be really big. The remote allows you to vary to suction - changing the rhythm and the power. The remote is smaller than the swing remote and a low easier to put in your pocket. Rating this 4/5 stars because it is functional, comfortable, easy to use hands free But it is big and doesn't fit naturally into my feeding bras.

This is a very good breast pump. It is very easy to use, the instructions are very clear. The design is beautiful, very sleek, you just put in your bra and leave it to pump. This is a very quite breast pump, I was using it next to my sleeping Abby and it didn’t wake him up. This pump has 2 functions: massage and pump. It’s good to use the massage one to bring in the milk and then use pump one. You can also use plus and minus buttons to pump harder or weaker. There is also an app where you can track your pumping sessions. Overall I’m very impressed with the pump.

When it comes to expressing,Medela is hands down the best of the best! From hospital grade to noisy pumps,achy fingers and excessive time consuming pumps,Medela solo hands free is one of the best I’ve used. Firstly,it is super lightweight to carry and is so noisy,I have used it when on the go. Very efficient at it’s job,it has surely made my life easier as a pumping mum! The battery lasts a good three days and it is dishwasher safe too so cleaning is not another hassle anymore. Multitasking is now possible thanks to this clever device! 👶 🍼

This is the best pump I have ever used and trust me I have tried so many. So far this is very easy to use. The feature that makes it the best is that hands are free while you can do other things. Being a mum is a hard job so this means a lot to have your hands occupied by other things while you are pumping. It’s very convenient for mothers. Also it’s very easy to clean it. I love this pump. And it’s my everyday use now. Luckily before trying the Medela solo hands I had tried another brand, and though I was pleased with it, having now the Medela is such a big improvement!! Here are some of the bullet points for me: -Comfort: the deposit for the milk fits perfectly the breast shape, which helps massively to keep it in place while pumping and allowing you to perform other task around the house. Alas to say that’s a big plus if you’re breastfeeding a baby while pumping as the noise won’t bring them discomfort as it’s practically non existing. -Easy to clean: the Medela hands solo consists of 3 pieces only, two being the disposition that you can dismantle easily and the last one the sucker that allows the pump, so in comparison with my other machines it’s a 1 minute cleaning task after every use. Also, being the smaller piece yellow avoid the risk of disposing of it by accident. -Record in the app: Medela offers on their own app for phones everything needed to keep track of pumping: times, how long the extraction lasted, even virtual storage to help to maintain a good fifo with the milk (first in, first out). Keeps also track of the intensity of the extractions to help to know if a more intense extraction can be performed or not. In addition to all this, you can keep track of feedings, sleep routines and everything that I would love to have when my baby was born (specially for a first time mum!), plus articles on hand. -Gentle: Medela goes through two stages, being the first one the stimulation one resembling the feeding of a baby, which helps the breast to relax and help to pump the milk. This is an amazing feature as my previous ones, though later on are ok, were quite rough during the first minute. And I don’t think I have to mention how important is for a pump to be gentle. In conclusion, after trying the Medela for free thanks to Influester and Medela in exchange of an honest review, I can say that I can’t recommend it enough! It’s expensive, yeah, but if you’re considering pumping think about getting one of these as it will be something that you’re going to be using every day, and the comfort and tools provided are worth it every single penny spent.

It is the perfect breast pump, For my first pregnancy I bought everything from medela as we know medela means quality and expertise. Initially I used the medela solo, and it was so good, that I decided to buy the medela swing, to be able to pump double. But I was curious to try the ones that are hands free, and I tried, one that was not medela. Big mistake. There were 11 peaces each one and it was a nightmare to clean, also the engine was on my breast and I had a burn. Is was a disaster. But then I found this medela hands free and I felt in love. Just three peces ladies! It’s even easier that the traditional ones! And the engine is apart from your chest so no burns can happen. Not noisy!

I love that the Medela solo hands free breasts pump is very easy to use and easy to clean as well. It's also very convenient as I can feed my child on the go without feeling uncomfortable in public since it's so seamless and concealable under clothing. I also love that it's very weightless and does not feel painful at all. I enjoy using this product to feed my baby and it's my favourite breast pump I've used so far because it's so well designed. Highly impressed with this product and would definitely recommend to other working mothers who have to travel with their children and live hectic lives. This product makes life so much easier and less stressful since I can charge it in the go.

My daughter refuses to take breast after back from hospital so I have to pump my milk and mix it with formula milk. At the beginning I used Amazon brand beast pumps but after a few days my nipples were in horrible conditions. After I get a chance to try the Mandela breast pump I must say "where have you been all my life". The pump is so quiet even with a sleeping baby. You can pump anywhere with hands free. It's discreet so different from my previous one. Great with pumping and I think all breasts are empty after that. I will definitely recommend it.

Breaks down fast

My first breast pump broke down after using 3 months. It suddenly stopped working. The customer service was very helpful and good as I got a replacement straight away.I am now using the second breast pump and it stopped charging. It was not powerful enough to charge. Even if you charge it overnight, it will not charge full battery.I have to replace the cable and see if the charger is the problem or the breast pump just won't charge anymore. Might have to replace with a different brand.
