Medik8 Retinol 3TR - 15ml

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

I have always loved the fast service of Beauty Affairs with free samples with my orders. Last month my shampoo bottle broke in the post and leaked everywhere. When I advised Beauty Affairs they sent a new bottle straight away free of charge. Unfortunately this order did not arrive so when I advised them of this Anna at Client Care sent me a new bottle straight away but along with this she also sent me the matching conditioner, and my favourite full cleanser to say sorry. I have not experienced such amazing customer service in a long time. I’ve always had amazing service from Beauty Affairs and will not buy my beauty products anywhere else

I had a very good experience with Lorena from customer support. I was querying the cost of Youngblood mineral makeup on live chat (excellent product by the way) of which I had bought 2. The cost of the item displayed for sale appeared less than the final checkout price. It turned out the sale price was for a particular color but this was unclear on the page. Lorena looked into the discrepancy immediately and after explaining the reason, offed to give me a refund on that particular sale to compensate for the confusion. She was polite and considerate throughout. It’s good to know that such a fabulous Aussie company has such lovely staff!

If you want to fade acne scars and get clearer skin, I highly stand by this product. I had bad acne scars and hyperpigmentation after struggling to get rid of my acne for years. Nothing really worked until I was introduced to this product. It does take time to notice a difference, but over a couple of months, your hyperpigmentation and acne scars start to fade. It can be a bit drying, especially for those who already have dry skin (like me) but using it with a good moisturiser or night cream really helps!

This product is fabulous! I noticed a difference in redness, acne, pore size, and blackheads almost immediately. I started with 6 as my skin is pretty tolerant. Does not dry out my face like most retinols. This product is well priced for the quality. I do not feel that prescription retinal is any better or more effective than this product.

Leaves skin feeling smooth

I used this product after stepping up from the Medik8 3TR retinol. I experienced no problems in moving to this product, with no irritation or redness evident when using this. The product is quite a runny oil with no fragrance. The morning after using this my skin feels smooth and plump, but I really don’t know about any long term benefits re: anti-aging so I wouldn’t recommend on that basis.

Made a difference

I've only been using for about 2 weeks and I'm gradually phasing it in. I haven't given it a 5 star because of this reason but in the short period that I've been using, my skin is dramatically different. I have large pores which seem to have reduced, along with blackheads on my nose and chin. My skin seems all one colour and texture as apposed to pink and blotchy with dry/oily patches. I have a few little marks from spots and breakouts which also seem tamed. I have very oily, breakout prone and sensitive skin so I'm really particular about what goes on my face. I usually buy oil free products for this reason but this is an exception. I was worried my skin would feel greasy but it does absorb and my skin looks lovely and dewy with a glow. I've received quite a few comments about my skin this week at work. I purchased the CSA Eye Kit and the Toner which are also lovely, too. I'm 26 so wrinkles aren't really an issue yet but I wanted to start introducing a gentle retinol into my skin routine as a preventative measure and I have to say so far I'm impressed. My eyes seem brighter, dark circles reduced and again a nice even skin tone. The toner smells very planty and natural which I love! It's early days but so far I'm really liking Medik8 products and that's coming from someone with difficult skin!

I have been applying the cleanser and toner morning and night and the Retinol at night. I am 29 years old and work in an office located in a very dusty and dirty workshop. I struggled with bad acne throughout my teenage years and early twenties which left me with pitted scars and uneven skin tone. I have an oily T-zone and very large pores over my nose, to the side of my nose and forehead.I bought these products to help with the red acne scars and some fine lines. I few of my fine lines have gone to.My red acne scars have faded A LOT since using these products. I have also noticed when I apply my foundation my pores appear smaller and less noticeable. The cleanser feels smoothe and silky when applying it and it doesn't dry out my skin. The toner is a little harsher, it will irritate broken skin but it does make your skin feel fresh and tight after application. The Retinol feels slightly oily but not greasy.As I am using all these products together, I can't really say which one is more beneficial to my skin. All 3 products combined are making a big difference to my skin which no other product has been able to do. My skin looks smoother, healther and has made me feel so much more confident.

On the fence about retinol

I started retinol 6 months ago, as perimenopausal changes to my skin seemed to speed up visible ageing. I first tried Dr Murad retinol serum and cream, and am now trying this. I like the liquid format of this one; I have had no adverse reaction to it, and had none with the Murad either. I am 45 and have pale skin but am not particularly sensitive. The truth is I have no idea whether retinol is making a difference to my skin; I find the biggest difference to my skin seems to be sleep and no alcohol, versus poor sleep and wine. That being said I haven't noticed my skin get worse, and some days it does look glowy and not bad for a 45 year old with no medical aesthetic interventions. It has not reduced the one age spot on my face.

Will definitely keep this in my regime

I tried multiple samples all at the same time and this is the one that really stood out! The sample I tried was actually 3TR, and because I'd also used other retinol on and off, I went straight in with purchasing 6TR. I have followed the instructions and only used it twice weekly in the first instance, and my skin is adapting well, but I'd recommend following the instructions a bit better than I did and sticking with a lower concentration until you've definitely adapted, as they obviously know what they're talking about at Medik8! I plan to try some of their other products, and really rate their CSA regime recommendation.
