A powerhouse Vitamin C

I really like this product. It is a very thin oil which sinks into the skin very quickly and you only need a few drops, so it lasts a long time. It occasionally stings ever so slightly on application but that sensation disappears very quickly and may be to do with other products I have previously used rather than this one... I apply it in the morning after my Hydra B5 intense serum and they both seem to compliment each other very well. It is a more expensive Vitamin C however so I am not sure if I will be repurchasing this exact product. I have come to find my preference is for more of a serum texture than an oil. That said this is a very sophisticated product and I like to know I have a good quality antioxidant serum on under my SPF each day. You can't really go ... MoreI really like this product. Be very cautious !

I’m a big fan of Medik8 and have I used Crystal Retinal 1 and C-Tetra Vitamin C for quite a while .I don’t think I realised that this was 30 % vitamin C . I used it once and forgot to apply my SPF ( I NEVER forget my SPF but unfortunately , that was the day I did ) . I had an extreme reaction to the combination of UV and this serum. Pain, redness , peri orbital oedema and dry flaking skin which required hydrocortisone cream from my GP and took a week to settle .I’m now off all skincare actives for a while . This may well be a great product but I would suggest extreme caution ( and don’t forget the SPF ) . I’m afraid I won’t be using it again .

Finally a Vitamic C my skin LOVES

I have been using Vitamin C serums for a few years now, struggling to find one that my skin agrees with. I have used some that are silicone based, so end up pilling under moisturiser, some that are potent but unstable and become ineffective too quickly. This one from Medik8 is perfect. The potency is just right, the texture is amazing (water based, and absorbed easily). The only downside is as it's fragrance free, it has a noticeable chemical smell upon application but disappears in seconds. My skin looks brighter already!

Since incorporating this into my morning routine, whilst using the Crystal Retinal at night, this has works as an absolute power duo that has left me with amazing results! Pigmentation? Haven’t heard of it! My beauty therapist has even commented and showed me before photos of when I wasn’t using the products until now and I was wowed with the difference. Pigmentation has practically gone. I was always so self conscious of my pigmentation but now I’m so confident that I’m happy doing my morning routine, including this amazing product and not wearing foundation which at 40 is a first for me! I’ve actually been asked what foundation I was wearing when I wasn’t wearing anything and I never thought that was possible. Thank you Medik8! Great serum

I love using Vitamin C serums in the morning and I have tried many. This is pretty good, it smells like burnt hotdog water, like other vitamin c serums but I am used to it and prefer it to overwhelming orange scents.This feels thick like a light oil but it's not, it absorbs quickly leaving the skin feeling just a tad tacky. But when I layer moisturiser on top it doesn't feel tacky at all.This works well on my skin, no irritation or redness, I don't think it gives noticeable improvement, I use this to prevent further pigmentation and I feel it does that well.I like the simple minimal packaging, it's functional and easy to use.

Nice Texture and No Irritation

This is a lovely serum and seems to agree with my skin unlike L-Ascorbic Acid formulas. Haven’t been using long enough to notice appreciable results but I do love the thin, oilier consistency. If it didn’t have citrus peel oils (even in the tiniest amounts), I would absolutely repurchase, however, every single time I apply this and smell the citrus, I cannot help but worry about the potential for future irritant contact dermatitis with repeated use. I absolutely adore my arsenal of MediK8, but I’m on the fence about C-Tetra Luxe simply because of citrus peel oils. I can find other THD formulas without fragrance; but I understand some people love the spa-like experience.

Stepping Into Adult Skincare

This is my first exposure with vitamin c.I was nervous at first with this new high end skin care. Sudden lines before my 40th birthday on my forehead made me dive in head first.I needed to know the why for vitamin C. I found a dermatologist on YouTube. She explained the different forms of vitamin c. I was pleasantly surprised that Medik8 is using a high end stable vitamin c form. 🙌After learning about the why and collagen. I'm loving this product. I love the smell too.It will take time to give a full review. At least three months for my skin to initially adapt. Cell turnover takes at least 28 days.

Super C Ferulic

I’ve been using this vitamin C serum for a couple of weeks now. I have really seen a difference in my skin, it is feeling much brighter & a slight reduction in my pigmentation. I was worried about this product as I have very sensitive/dry skin but I can honestly say it’s not irritated it in any way. I’ve also been using the crystal retinal 3 which I introduced gradually & this must also be a huge factor in my skins change. Again I was worried about using it but it’s not dried out my skin in anyway. Medik8 definitely works for me & my sensitive skin & I will be buying again & adding more products into my routine over time.

Very High Quality Vit C

I have seen other reviewers say their skin was irritated by using this vitamin C serum. Please be wary that this serum has active ingredients in it which your skin might not be used to. I have used several vitamin C serums from different brands and also use Tretinoin so my skin is used to actives. This Medik8 serum does tingle slightly on application and can feel a little sticky almost. However, after waiting for 60 seconds or so, moisturiser goes over the top easily and the tingle/stickiness goes away. I have used a much more expensive pharmaceutical brand Vit C + E and ferulic acid serum and genuinely think this medik8 one does the same job for less than half the price.
