It’s definitely not my father’s ( or even mine back in the day) compound, no heavy grit, very smooth.I didn’t use it on my trucks body, but in the bed.Have been wanting to remove the liner and clean underneath, figured the paint would be in rough shape so I picked this up with a coupon. It worked well, I mean from where the paint wasn’t scuffed up, brought back a shine.Followed with the Ultimate polish (which I had)and some paste wax that was around. So it was a good test, even though not needed yet, I wouldn’t be afraid to use it on the rest of my truck.

I used this on the hood of my truck where the red turned white.I used a 6-Inch DA Polisher with a yellow pad (Yellow, Blue, Black)Using the compound with a DA Polisher made the job go quickly.I followed up with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, then Meguiar's Cleaner WaxI used 4 dime sized drops of compound and polish on the pads after spreading a light coat of material on the pads with a tongue depressor,I made an X with the wax on the waxing pad after spreading a light coat of wax on the pad.Came out great.I saw the tips about in a PDF file using a MT 300, and a Porter Cable 7424XPUsed 2-seperate Blue pads for Polish and Cleaner Wax.Used a clean terry cloth to clean pads, press against pad with two fingers and run Polisher at low speed.

I am using this with an MVP 10 in. buffer and a "wool" pad to get out REALLY BAD water spots. Not the kind where people say "it's hard to see in this light." Mine are BIG WHITE WHITE spots on a red car, like a leopard. It's taken some time, but not unreasonable. I have a bad back and no stamina. I finally got (almost) all the spots off my hood after working an hour or two a day for 2 days. (but i tried spot remover first, then had to clay bar it, too) It's the truth that you don't NEED to use a polish after this, my hood is shiny and nice. Then I washed and used spray wax. Now I gotta do the roof and entire passenger side. I used on my car that sat outside next to a sprinkler, not a show car. Watched youtube videos first.

I purchased this for two purposes. The headlights on my pickup truck was foggy. I rubbed this compound on the plastic lights and buffed them with my 10" buffer. I did five applications and now the headlights look brand new. The second use was for my wife's car. She was hit on the rear passenger rear fender. There was a long dent that I was able to push out from the inside of the trunk. The red truck that hit her left red scratches and also scratches in the black paint. I applied three coats of compound and buffed after each coat and now you can hardly see where the car was hit. Great product.
I used this product with my ToolPro 240V polisher and my paint has come up MAGIC! I had damage caused to a panel from an exterior protectant that I applied to my tonneau cover and then it rained (possibly the clear coat was already compromised for it to react to the protectant) causing the panel to turn powdery. This compound brought the panel back to life, so I ended up polishing the whole car with it - highly recommend! So easy to use, with either an electric polisher, or a manual applicator.
Used Meguires 205 first with Porter Cable and white then orange LC pad. Didn’t remove most of the scratches etc. went to the Ultimate compound with orange pad. Most scratches were removed. Heaviest did not come out but that was only a few. Going over those another time with a bit more pressure made those almost disappear. Went back to the 205 over the entire car and then used Collinite wax. Paint looks much deeper, beautiful luster. Maybe going Ultimate Compound with yellow pad would have taken all scratches out. Rare I would need a stronger product but if I do I would probably go with Meguires 105. Very happy with outcome
I decided to try this product out of desperation after taking my wrangler off-roading. The garage photo shows just how covered in mud the jeep was, and after it sat overnight in freezing temperatures I was left with the horrendous spots shown (the photo was taken after running it through a car wash three times, using a power washer, and attacking them with every detailer spray known to man). I bought a black&decker random orbit tool and used this product with the wool polishing bonnet. After two passes, the damage was completely gone! It also did an incredible job with paint swirls. I would definitely recommend using a somewhat coarse foam applicator or wool/microfiber on a polisher of some sort to get the best cutting power - didn’t do a whole lot for me when ... MoreI decided to try this product out of desperation after taking my wrangler off-roading. Also worth noting that one should most definitely apply some sort of wax or at least polish afterwards to protect the paint.
Fabulous!! Very impressed, restored my cars terrible paint work by using these products:1) Meguiars clay bar kit (clay bar & quick detail spray), with microfiber cloth2) Meguiars ultimate compound, with applicator pad & microfiber cloth to remove3) Turtle Waxs Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Acrylic Black Polish, with applicator pad & microfibre cloth to remove4) Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax, with microfibre cloth, then buffing cloth.
I've been a professional detailer for over 25 years. I've used several dozendifferent brands of compounds in various levels of cutting power. This is the one I reach for most often. Sure, there are times you need a little more aggressive cut or something a little lighter, but this will get the job done at least 90% of the time.Meguiar's uses diminishing abrasives, so while I'd say this cut is probably a 6 out of 10 in the level of abrasiveness, that 6 polishes down to a 1 the longer you work it. The benefit of that is that you don't leave polishing haze all over the paint. It is incredibly easy to work with and if you work it long enough then it doesn't dust much at all. It even works on 1500 grit wetsand haze.If you want that mirror finish, then it starts with using the right cutting compound. This product can get you there!
Had my GS500E in storage for nearly a decade, and finally worked with a licensed mechanic to get everything running again. But we noticed that the old tank has rusted internally, as there were gas fumes that rusted parts of it. It did not rust through, but enough that I wanted to just get another used tank to replace the one I had. That being said, it’s not easy to find an amazing condition used part. So, with this tank, it came with a few marks, scratches, removal of old stickers, and old gasoline stains. As you can see within the photos, after washing and buffing, there was quite a bit of old gasoline stains that was on the tank. So, with this tank, it came with a few marks, scratches, removal of old stickers, and old gasoline stains. As you can see within the photos, after washing and buffing, there was quite a bit of old gasoline stains that was on the tank. So, after doing a little research, I found that several people suggested to get the Meguiar’s Compound, and also the Gold Class Carnauba Plus.I used the Compound for approximately three to six applications and circular hand-polishes and made sure that I polished out the marks with a circular motion. Most of the marks can be seen removed after three applications, but around the sixth it looked much better. I am sure that I could do another few layer post-riding, in the harder spots, but after using the Compound, I tried adding one layer of Gold Class Carnauba Plus. For the Gold Class Carnauba Plus, one needs to make sure to let the formula dry for a little before buffing it off. I only tried one layer, and it looked pretty good. I am going to try to add another buff after a few rides and see whether it would improve the look and sheen, but I can improve the discerning mark on the tank. But so far, it looks pretty good.
