The lens took one picture with autofocus then immediately stopped working with my a6300, I updated the firmware of the camera and the lens to jo avail, it seems like the contact pads aren't making contact anymore. Fortunately it broke fast enough that I am returning for a replacement. I will update the review when I get it. Hopefully I will have better luck with the second one. The one in focus picture it did take looks great though. If I can get a working one this seems like a great value but be ready to play the RMA roulette game. Thankfully B&H customer service is great.

I've spent only a little time with this lens and really liking it. It's light and fairly compact (a little larger than the Sony kit 28-70 lens). Has nice bokeh. It's pretty sharp in the center. The build quality is good but not exceptional. It focusses well in most circumstances if a little noisily (I got used to the noise after a while). Generally, very pleased with the lens. Delivery was quick and no hassle.

Works ok with my Sony A7c. The AF it is not silent. The bokeh is great!
