The Meinl Hybrid 5B sticks are professional drum sticks made of hickory with hybrid tip. Unlike the standard model, the Hybrid model has a quarter inch more length and a longer taper, increasing accessibility and control. The Hybrid tip starts as an Acorn tip and then becomes a Barrel tip, ensuring a multi-faceted sound. Weight and pitch are matched within each pair (Weight Matched & Pitch Matched). The pre-selected American Hickory wood provides excellent weighting and long durability without splintering.
