Using warmth as a primary factor for purchase would be a mistake. These are quite light and airy. Also tends to ride up the legs, as ankle elastic is weak. Would be too fragile outdoors but for limited uses (pajama bottoms). Comfortable though.

Great product, used these sailing under walking trousers and waterproof layer, went fully into the water and was as warm as those in wetsuits. retains heat well when wet and comfortable and well made, a pleasure to use. One of my best purchases of 2020

Indoors (with jeans on top) it's a bit warm, but I don't feel like I need to take it off, it's really well breathing.Outdoors, with my normal jeans on top of them, UK/Ireland autumn is comfortable if not warm. Probably will wear it in the winter, too. It's not outright warm as you go outside, but it helps with getting to a comfortable temperature faster.Size M fits me well, maybe a bit on the longer side, but as you move about this turns out to be just right, so the sizing guide is correct:21, male, 181 tall, 72 kg, skinnyfat, 80 cm hips, 73 cm inseam.
Merino wool is the best material to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The higher the percentage the better, although anything 100% can shrink easily. The price is worth it because this material will last for years.
I bought these for a 10 day trip to Ladakh in October. The decathlon sales person recommended these over the basic Wedge tights and said that these would be warmer as they are made of Merino. Honestly, I didn't feel much warmth with these under the Trek 900 pants. The Wedge base layer is much warmer in my opinion.Also, the elastic band around the waist is horrible with a size S running between 87-92 cms (about 34 to 36 inches). The tights keep running down if not worn with another layer on top to secure them. I don't what size slimmer guys like me are going to get.
These base layer tights are great. Good fit and comfortable as well as being lightweight and warm. Would definitely buy again. Great price too !
I am a tall woman so got these for decent leg length, to go under my shell type overalls for snowboarding. I just got back from France and there were some really cold days, but these were great paired with the black Wedze ski socks. fully recommend
