By utilising 3D scanning, the New Balance design team have been able to sculpt away sections of the midsole to lower the overall weight of the shoe without losing any stability or performance. A wider midfoot and forefoot outsole allows for additional stability and further ground contact to distribute pressure evenly across the foot.
