the stability of the shoe on easy trails. However a couple of things to point out that I did not enjoy about this shoe:1) Lots more ankle rolling on Zegamas. I believe this is
because the drop is higher. This has been considerably noticeable compared to the Terra Kigers.2) The shoe is fragile and already falling apart after 200km. Terra Kigers are
some of the most durable shoes I had, however my Zegamas have considerable wear and tear on the sides. I don't think I will be able to get to 250km with these... Show more

perfect (except for the tongue needs to be longer). Other than that, it has great cushion (more than the Wildhorse), large lugs, great lockdown, and responsiveness is killer.

I'm really glad I tried the Zegama...will buy again for sure but hoping to get 350+ miles in these.... Show more

Grippy Clouds for Your Feet
3 December 2022
I needed a new pair of multi-purpose, go-anywhere shoes and this ticks almost every box. The deep treading was large enough to play soccer with my kids with no slipping on grass and go straight to chasing them through a gravely trail without feeling a thing under my feet.My feet are wider than most so fitting into running shoes are typically a no-go. These trail shoes happen to have the perfect width without any feeling of potential sliding inside. The lacing system is very secure. Laces stay in place as I tighten them and stayed tight after running around for about 30 minutes straight with constant stopping and cutting. The Zoom technology is very good at preventing foot fatigue while trekking through trails and forests. Very bouncy when I played soccer and pickleball with them.Very breathable shoe as well with mesh being used. Great for summer. Not quite winter yet here in Texas, but I’m sure I can just use thicker socks when temps dip.The gaiter just below the ankle is genius. For some reason, I have a problem with rocks and debris finding their way into my low-tops even when walking. Not a single thing found its way inside these shoes. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that anytime I wore ankle socks, they would somehow slip off in my shoe. I tried tightening my laces several ways and it still happened. Might just be a personal issue.I can easily look past the ankle socks issue since there are a lot more positives. Plus I can just use crew socks.Bottom line, a very good do-anything shoe.... Show more

More than a Trail Shoe
2 December 2022
Upon opening the box the aesthetics were pleasing. The contrasting colors work well together. Next after putting the shoe on the first thing is the breathable upper with a little stretch to form.Next, the design gives way to an all-day lifestyle shoe with an enlarged swoosh on the outside. The toe box protection comes in handy yet it’s soft and flexible enough to not cause interference with training. The fit is snug yet comfortable and allows for daily wear between store runs, gym workouts, and back to the house without creating any discomfort. The fact that it could be worn all day was the biggest plus for me.The one con for me is the tongue not being as flexible. A more minimal cushioning of the tongue would have sufficed and increased the ability to tighten the ... MoreUpon opening the box the aesthetics were pleasing. Perfect for long days
1 December 2022
The Zoomx Zegama Trail look stylish and fit comfortable. They give you enough room space and have a foam feel inside. They provide a perfect comfort for long intervals of time on your feet. I have and would definitely recommend using the zoom Zegama Trail shoes for the whole day especially if you’re on your feet all day. The design of shoe is a bit too basic though. I would add more color schemes or a different material for the soles of the shoes. At a first glance the shoes look like they are cheap material for the bottoms/ sole of the shoes. I would change the bottoms/sole of shoes to look more durable and not look like it’s a cheap plastic. I would also add more color options for the same shoe. The comfort level would be rated at the highest rating possible for ... MoreThe Zoomx Zegama Trail look stylish and fit comfortable. Soft Ride on the Trail, helping me get back into the sport!
22 March 2023
I must say that typically I don't do well with Nike trail running options. In the past I have returned Pegasus Trail and Wildhorse because they just didn't have a great fit or comfort level out on the single track. But I have ran several shorter trail runs in the Zegama's so far and I'm sold! The closest comparison to my past shoes is the Hoka Speedgoat, but these might have even more cushioning. They are probably best suited for longer distances, but I'm dealing with long term injuries and these shoes are giving me that soft ride that I needed. I especially like the unique padding and shape of the tongue (some of my issues are on top of my feet). My only complaint is the odd color options, seems to be a trend with Nike lately. Springy, comfortable shoes
30 November 2022
These shoes have a unique look and feel. The heels have a ton of spring to them, much more than I’ve felt from any others. The design of the shoe is simple but attractive. The white can be a bit tricky to keep clean, but that’s a minor issue. Because of winter weather I haven’t gotten a chance to go out on my usual trails, but the areas I have been, these shoes have done well. On wet surfaces they have a bit of issue with grip, but not enough to be something I would call a warning. The tread pattern is unique, and you can almost feel it grab on like cleats would, especially on harder surfaces. Even the sound as you take the next step reminds me a bit of a suction cup letting go. It’s a unique feeling, and one that I liked. The only design change I would make with these is the tongue of the shoe. The material it is made from made it a bit difficult to keep flat when putting the shoes on. Once the shoes were on, it was fine. My favorite thing about the design is the wrap around the back of the shoe, where it meets your ankle. There is a stretchy material there that feels like a sock wrapped around the back. It’s very comfortable, and helps the shoe feel very secure. Overall, these are great shoes, and ones I would consider again for my next pair. I’m looking forward to see how they do on my normal trails once the weather gets a bit better.... Show more

Zegama Trail Review

Fit & Feel: This is the most important factor to me when trying on a shoe. I can honestly say I am impressed with the one to one fit this shoe provides. It fits perfectly and you feel very secure as soon as you put it on. There is no dead space inside the shoe and that is something that is very important to me when trying on & using a shoe.Design: The design is simple yet effective. Very appealing with the big Nike swoosh. It is also a design that is easy to match outfits with. The design is also very sporty and screams that it’s ready for the trails.Comfort: I can proudly say this shoe felt great all day. I wore these on a hiking trip during thanksgiving break in North Carolina. I never had to stop to let my feet rest or readjust the shoe. It felt as though the shoes were just an extension of me, I forgot I had them on which is a good thing, they felt natural. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely make this my go to shoe for trails/hiking.Pros/cons: I liked everything this shoe had to offer, from the tech it brings to the style and wearability. They’re very light and provide a great sense of security. I had no slippage inside the shoe nor did I encounter slippage during the trails. Personally, I wouldn’t change anything about the shoe. In my opinion, this shoe is perfect for trails & hiking.... Show more

Zoomx Zegama Trail

The Nike Zoomx Zegama Trail is a true trail runners shoe! It features a high stack heel with a full ZoomX midsole and a rock protection plate at the front. These guys do look heavy with its big midsole, but the Zegama weighs less than your average trail shoe and offers a much more cushioned run.The Zoomx has a cool ankle collar which is soft and prevents rubbing, as well as some protection from debris. The wider toe box is accommodating for bigger feet.Overall the Zoomx Zegama is a solid performer for true trail runners. Soft and bouncy but stable, these guys will support your weight and save your ankles.... Show more
