I’m absolutely terrible at doing anything with my hair, but I bought this for my staff show in attempt to make my locks look lush… my sister in law and I laughed and fumbled our way through the process and possibly on the last patch of hair we went ‘oh ok cool that’s how you do it!’ My hair despite all odds looked fab for the staff do and I got a surprising amount of compliments! But the real winner was the next day, waves beautifully worn in with lovely messy lock that would have before been called a birds nest! Can absolutely recommend! But also suggest a dry run before you hit the town!I have shoulder length hair and this is the perfect size for my short hair! Enjoy lovelies!

I have hair past my hips so I'm hesitant about new hair tools as I know the time I'll have to invest in using it each time. This was actually quicker to use than I expected, it only took about 25 minutes for my whole head on my first try. Heat damage is usually a concern for me too as the ends of my hair are quite dry but I got a great wave on a low temperature setting and there was no smell or signs of burning. The dimension and body the waves added to my long straight hair are so much fun! I can get a similar look by braiding my damp hair overnight, but this was much more uniform, bigger bouncy waves with volume, plus I didn't have to go to sleep on a wet pillow! My hair actually appeared shinier too! Looking forward to summer styling with my wavy hair 🌞

I have never managed to successfully curl my own hair before, due to my arms being weak (getting dead arms) and the related lack of skill. Very first attempt at using this one and my hair was done in no time at all and looked like a pro had styled it!The adjustable temperature suits my fine hair well, and the left/right buttons add dimension that I would’ve otherwise not been able to figure out.Only downside is I did bump the home button a couple of times with the curler close to my scalp, causing tugging, although this is very much user error and by the time I was finished I had the hang of it to avoid the button.Absolutely love this cutler and wish I had bought it years ago!Zero regrets!

I recently got the pink Mermade Waver & love how easy it is to use! The packaging was great when I received it, and was really quick shipping & it also came with a handwritten note saying I could reach out if I needed any help but honestly, it’s such an easy hair styling tool to use! I have long thick hair and my waves lasted all day! I also tried it on my friends hair who has shorter more coarse hair and the waves lasted on her hair too! I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a hair waving tool that works and is easy to use! It also comes with a glove so if you accidentally touch the heated part, it won’t hurt!
I bought this a month ago and although I was a bit scared of it at first, I am now confident when using it because they include a glove to protect your hand from getting burnt. I have short curly hair and the appliance was close to my head but now I feel I can use it confidently. It takes away the frizz WIN!!! it gives me a beautiful wave WIN!!! and it lasts for days WIN WIN WIN!!! Love this and highly recommend it.
I love the barrel size on this curler and the fact you can use the automatic L / R curl function or still be able to wind the hair around the barrel yourself.I need to practice more as I am getting hair caught as I’m not moving my arm along with the rotation or keeping an eye on where the hairs curling so goes over the barrel & caught. Not great for ends but I’m sure I’ll get better at it.Great heat settings. Heats up quickly.Happy with my purchase overall.
I mostly like this curler, bit of a learning curve on how to use it but I watched a few YouTube channels and have mostly figured it out now. The good - the curls are gorgeous and they last. The bad - the curling button is in an awkward spot and I've hit it accidentally quite a few times curling the button right to my head. Also unsure about the quality, the button has jammed and kept curling when i wasn't even touching it which was scary. Hoping it's just because it was new and sticky.
Length of the barrel is good, handle is comfortable to hold, width of curls is nice, although the buttons to spin is confusing. Following the directions on the pamphlet, I catch the end of my strands under the prong and press a button to wind it up. It’s hard to know which button is which when you can’t see it, so sometimes it wouldn’t wind. My experience with using curling wands is limited, so perhaps with practice it will become easier. I hope the spinning mechanism is long lasting because I feel it will make the whole curling process easy. It works well without the spinning feature too.
I've never been able to curl my hair using a hair straightener. I was skeptical about how easy this might be and the finished product. This product does not disappoint! It does what it says it does and it is super easy. No more spending $ at the hairdresser to get my hair curled for special occasions. The price was also amazing for the standard of the product. Thanks Mermaid Hair! I think I might purchase your blow dry brush next.
This is extremely easy to use and creates very nice curls. Fast heat up and makes hairstyling very quick also.I only give 4 stars as I've never liked how clamps on curling wands make my ends feel a bit fried. However this is just my personal opinion and possibly because I'm not using the clamp correctly. Overall highly recommend, especially if you struggle getting curls even or holding your arms up over your head for long periods. I have bad shoulders and being able to keep my arms down while styling is great!
