We purchased these for our 7 year old last year from Stride Rite who fitted him. He loved them. I loved them. The color worked with a variety of clothing styles and we dressed them up with a cool vest. He used these shoes the most last year. We walk to school every day and they were terrific to have with the low rise for those light snow days, and spared us the trudging with heavy snow boots each day. I miss them this year!

My 12-year-old daughter LOVES these boots! Comfortable, stylish, and she REALLY appreciates how they keep her feet dry on rainy days.Will Merrell be making more of this same style/item soon? I would love to buy her the next size up because her feet are growing so fast, but see that many the sizes are sold out.

Bought these for my kindergartner and he loves them. He prefers these to his heavier winter boots for school days when there isn't too much snow on the ground. They have held up very well to three recesses per day in the rain, light snow, and ice for the past two months. I would absolutely buy these again
Bought this for my 4year old for playing in the snow and wading through rain puddles. When he tried them on , he said they were comfortable (eventhough they were a couple of sizes larger than his actual size so he can grow into them- yes, i think they will last that long). He can run, jump, and climb with them and most importantly, he loves wearing them!
I bought these for my son who wears a normal youth size 5. These look so good on him but way bigger than all the other size 5 shoes he has. I put a pair of very thick soles in them, which made them wearable for now. He can probably still wear them next year. They are very stylish, comfortable, and well made.
I purchased these in a size 3, looking at the other reviews about the boot running big I thought we'd be safe with that size since my son wears a 3.5 currrently. We own several merrel shoes including a couple new styles, and these are just off. The left shoe is tight, and the right shoe is too big. His other pair of merrel hiking shoes fit perfect. So now I feel I got a mislabeled size or defected product. These would be best to try on in store!
He literally I wearing through them..and his size is never in stock (only negative)They've lasted so long and are amazing qualityHe is just about to out grow them and is so upset about it.He says they're the best shoes hes ever had, so I definitely reccomend them!!!!
the instep seems to run large, so I couldnt get the boot to cinch up snug enough around my sons instep. I wasnt about to return these so we just snipped the elastic lace out and put in regular laces that tie. this solved the problem. Im hoping these hold up during our winter which gets rainy and cold with snow showers up to 6 inches at a time (usually no more than 6 inches of snow on the ground at one time). They do feel a bit cheaper or more flimsy than other merrell shoes, but hopefully they are just as durable as what weve had in the past.
i really like the quality of this boots. Bought it for my 5 y o son at the beginning of the winter. Worked well for him. Was comfortable whole day in school. Waterproof.a bit hard to put on, but he manage it.
