I can usually buy size 8 Merrill trainers/walking shoes from Millets and be fairly sure they will fit.This is main reason I tend to only buy size 8 Merrill trainers/walking shoes online.This latest pair, however, are too tight across my toes and I cannot return them as I wore them for a day to try and get them to stretch to fit my feet.They were still too tight and not comfortable after wearing them for a day.Nearly all my trainers/walking shoes are Merrill as, although quite expensive, they are usually a good and comfortable fit.I cannot see me wearing this latest pair very often if at all as they are just too tight and not nearly as comfortable as the other three pairs I have.

Bought the the day before leaving on a work trip to southern Cali, walked about 80-100km. Comfy, can pass for dress casual, felt a little narrow for my wife foot. Shelved them for about 3yrs as I had other hiking shoes. Pulled them out this year, threw some mink oil on them and tied them tight to stretch the leather. Now my go to shoes and feel GREAT. Minus 1 star for initial narrow feel, bulky upper and slippery/squeaky sole if wet and walking on tile floors.

I've only had these shoes for about 6 months. Also only wore them maybe for 1-2 months before they both began to split at the toes on the sides of the leather. It started on one shoe and now both are doing it. I seriously would have thought that being a Merrell and the price of the shoes that they would last a lot longer than this. They are in mint condition otherwise...not sure why they are splitting. I've bought and owned many Merrell shoes. I've got 3 pairs right now and this is the first time I'm actually disappointed with them. They are comfortable and look great with good styling. I'll give them that. Just don't hold up well at all. Maybe I got a bad set?

Bought these as a stylie casual shoe than will last.The build quality it top notch. The fit is 1/2 a size up from my usual. These shoes are ready for narlier terrain than I plan to use them on. The sole has plenty of grip. I’ve had no issues with walking on wet wooden decking and a steep sloping bridge.The mid sole is comfortable, not a hard ride while walking or trotting across the street. I know these shoes will cope with a walk on trails , and equally fit it any a barbecue or casual dinner.Really happy with the purchase.
So far so good. Feels like an exact size. I'm about a 9.5 in most shoes and these fit accurately to that. Average wide but nothing too wide. Nice rocker and feels fairly athletic while still firm. Found them on sale and that was the determining factor in purchase.
We normally love Merrell shoes but these did not hold up as well as other Merrell hiking shoes my kids have owned. The first pair we owned the lace broke immediately. We received credit to order a new pair. The second pair was ok for a few months, but after about 3 months of wear the inside of both shoes has completely worn through. My son was complaining that they were hurting his feet and I looked inside to see the black inner layer had worn completely through on both sides.

I wanted a smart but casual, durable walking shoe.I ended up purchasing a size slightly larger (10) over his normal size (9), based on other customer reviews and their advice was perfect.For harmed is forewarned- The top loop on the shoe, seems a little weak so I suggest tightening from lower down the shoe instead of pulling the shoelace from the top.Saying all of that, I would recommend it, my husband loves them. They are lightweight and I think fashionable.
I have worn Merrell shoes from Mark's for decades. I bought these and they fit perfectly like always. Then I got them wet and they shrunk at least one full size and they won't stretch back. After reading reviews this seems to be a very common problem. Now I have a useless pair of shoes worn a couple times.
We are disappointed with the shoes we received in our most recent order. We ordered and received a size 2 1/2 wide. It is the exact same shoe our grandson is currently still wearing which is a half size smaller. We liked it so much we got a second pair. The problem is the shoes we received are not bigger but smaller. They are so narrow it’s difficult for us to get them on his feet, even though they are half size bigger then the pair he’s been wearing for only a couple of months that still fit him.The same is true for the second pair we bought our grand daughter.It seems the construction of latest shoes is using less material. The velcro tab is so short and the shoe is very narrow.
Had them some 15 years ago and I'm buying them again now. At first, I ordered 43.5 which were too small, so now I'm waiting for my 44.5 to be delivered. From my previous experience they are very comfortable, it feels like walking on clouds. They are also very stylish. I highly recommend these shoes.
