Merrell Mens Trail Glove 6 Comfort Minimalist Trainers Running Shoes

(570 reviews)

The 6th version of our famous minimalist shoe is designed to mimic the shape of the human foot, keeping it in the position it would be in without shoes. Version 6 features and improved fit and increased abrasion-resistance. Compared to the prior version, Version 6 features a little additional support, a slightly thicker sole, and increased abrasion-resistance. It’s a great option for someone looking to transition into barefoot styles.

This is my first pair of foot glove style shoes from Merrell and they take a bit of getting used to. I got my size and thought it was too small, quite different getting them on but,
once on, they are SO comfortable. There are pressure areas but not enough to moan about, I've been wearing them all the time and bought another similar pair, different
style. They are so flexible and yet the sole is tough enough to stop most rock pain, something missing from others I've had.I'd totally recommend these with the added note
that they are a different style of footwear to get used to.

I bought a pair of these a year ago and have worn them almost daily. They are comfy and hard wearing, so I bought a second pair before Merrell drop them from their range
(which seems to be imminent).

Aggressive mid-foot support. Eyelet tore easily.

Mid-foot support is somewhat aggressive however, this suits me ok as I have worn supportive inner soles in the past. My feet pronate mildly and I have previously suffered
from plantar fasciitis. The only issue I have had is the lace eye tore on both sides after the first time wearing the shoes.

Confortable but…
13 September 2023
They are very confortable. I love the color but they wear fast. After 4 months of wearing them daily, the laces are about to let go and the outside material shows wear and tear. I wear them in an urban environment only so no abuse whatsoever.... Show more

Fit like a glove
8 May 2023
Fit like a glove and are very tactile/natural - you really feel what you are doing - the soles also have excellent grip in the wet. I wouldn't recommend on sharp rocks though as there is minimal cushioning.... Show more

Great minimal, yet not barefoot, trail shoe
20 June 2021
I love this shoe for the following reasons: it fits like a sock and is ultra-comfortable, I get compliments on them frequently, I like the feel of a zero-drop shoe, vibrant soles are the best and this combined with limited support/cushioning translate to amazing traction and feel in every terrain, they are perfectly cool in hot weather, the rock plate and limited support are welcome additions as my feet no longer get beat up on trail, and they are ultra low weight, yet stand up to some decent abuse. I understand why people would be turned off by this show as it’s marketed as a barefoot runner, but I appreciate what it is: a fantastic zero-drop trail runner that benefits from a rock plate, but still feels and fits like a glove, with awesome traction and comfort.... Great shoe, narrow toe box

Love the Merrell trail glove series but I can't wear this model because of the narrow toe box. Much narrower than previous models, definitely a try on before you buy shoe.... Show more

Inner 'Sock' Wore out after Approx 15 Trail Runs
31 August 2021
I found the shoes to be really comfortable; however, on both shoes - the inner sock is basically completely worn out after about a month or so of intermittent running. I do run a good portion of downhill trail but I've never happened to any other shoe before. I'll be attempting to return them through MEC's Rock Solid Guarantee once I'm able to make a trip to the store.... Show more

Why arch?
4 May 2023
While I love Merrells the Trail Glove 6 disappointed. Too much arch support resulting in pressure on the arch that spreads the foot. Accordingly the shoe feels very narrow and you have to loosen the lacing after initially putting the shoe on. It does have a "no shoe" feel at all.... Show more
