I got some low-top Moabs in 2016. They lasted 6 years and were waterproof for 5 of them. I got these hi-top tactical Moabs in October 2022. They fit great with my wide feet and bunions. But my socks are getting soaked through already in April 2023. I walk a dog 3x a day in the eternal rain of NW Oregon. I'm disabled and poor. I bought a $160 pair of boots because I assumed they would last another 5 years like the last ones did. It's not even raining right now but the grass is uncut and damp, and just walking thru that is enough for my socks to be completely soaked within 10 minutes.Extremely disappointed. Didn't even last a year. They would probably last a couple more years at least, but they're useless here if they're not waterproof. But they slowly work their way down on their own. Luckily I've been able to get them back up.I just really can't believe they're not waterproof at all anymore after only 6 months! $160! For 6 months!I sent an email a few days ago asking for a replacement or a 90% discount on a new pair of a different model that is known to be more reliably waterproof. Of course I haven't gotten a response.I'm tired of getting robbed! Everything is cheap junk these days, even when it cost a lot of money.

I didn’t realize this pair had side zips, but now that I’ve used them, I’m glad they have them. Even though they are water proof, which I haven’t put to the test, they are not too hot to wear on hot days. I really haven’t tested the grippiness (sp) of the soles by hiking on anything other than sloping ground. Still, I have faith they will work on whatever terrain I come across while out in the desert. All in all, I’m very happy I got these boots. Can recommend.

These are the best hiking boots I have every had. They are very light yet durable. I like that the sole is soft to allow for excellent grip but also is wearing well. The laces cinch up well and my feet do not move around. But the best feature of all is the zipper. So nice to unzip after a long day on the trail allowing my feet to breath and relax. I bought these a couple years ago when the brindle color was in stock. I do hope you all bring back the brindle or maybe a green as well. I like the strongfield(dark olive) but the deal breaker is it not having the zipper. I see that the brindle color is still listed. Are yall going to have it in stock again? Or Possibly add another color as well?
Absolutely love my new Merrell Moab 2 Tactical 8in Boots!!!Spent 5 hours shoveling snow in -10F Blizzard last night.My feet stayed dry and warm the entire time!Had to go in and out of the house numerous times. The side zipper must have saved me 30 minutes of tying and untying my boots.Ordered myself a Wide size so my feet are comfortable. Great Sole, Lots of grip. Well insulated and waterproofed, but still lightweight somehow. These never feel too big and clunky.Honestly I couldn't be happier with these boots. I shopped a long time to find the right pair and I am glad to have found these.
Decent boots, very comfortable; this is my third pair in around four years. The waterproofing is good until they start to tear in places, for me it was the cracking and separating of the tread on the bottom; which began the end. The rest of the boot was still good to Shoe Goo the bottom back on till I left a bunch of tread out there somewhere. The second pair is was Shoe Gooed and is still holding up. This third pair has not shown any signs of separation(👍🏽) in the past month I been using them. I might seem foolish for getting a third pair but these are TRULY one of the most comfortable boots I have owned, and not so expensive that I want to cry!

I had bought a pair of these same combat boots about 2 years ago and they were the most comfortable boots I'd ever purchased!!! They fit beautifully and performed perfectly. I figured since I had such good luck with them the first time, why go with anything else. Unfortunately the width seems to have changed, along with the overall fit and comfort. They aren't comfortable at all and are taking forever to break in. At some points throughout the day, they're just downright painful, especially around the ankle and top of my foot where my arch is at its highest point. Returning them isn't an option now per their return policy, so I'm kinda stuck with them now. Very disappointed after having such great success with my first pair.
I love these boots this is actualy the 3rd pair ive owned!! They are lightweight and comfortable. I do alot of training and excersize, as well as hiking. I am on my feet all day at work in a shop and outside alot. My feet aren't as sore as if i wear my heavy work boots. so i use them for light work. They have a zipper on them so they are easy to take on and off. The sole of them is super freat for traction in dirt , rocks, mud, sand, even ice and snow. They are stitched cloth and synthetic lether material, so they are broken down easly i would recomend for light duty use. they are my favorite pair of boots. I will probably going to continue to buy them as long as they are sold and made!

I love Merrell shoes and have gone through at least 6 pairs of their Moc's. In every Merrell I get I'm always a size 9 wide. I ordered these boots online in a 9 wide and they were huge on my feet. A Full thumb's width and then some between my big toe and the front of the shoe WITH super thick wool socks on. So i went to the brick and mortar store in Valencia to try some on. they didn't have wides, but they had an 8 1/2 and and 8. The length on the 8 was perfect but I needed a wide.
