I bought these as I work outdoors and need wet weather protection. I've had numerous medium to heavy rain days so far and my feet have stayed dry on every occasion. Very grippy too on all surfaces eg grass/bitumen/concrete/painted surfaces. Highly recommended if you need a comfortable shoe to keep your feet dry - I imagine they'd be great for bush walking in any conditions. I had another pair of Merrell shoes before these and these are heaps lighter - lighter and more comfortable than my everyday joggers as well! Great shoes and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I took these on a trip to Ireland. I didn’t need anything bulky, but something sturdier than your everyday sneakers. They were perfect, especially the waterproof feature, as we all know Ireland experiences a daily shower or two. Anyway, very durable and comfortable. Will be taking them on my hikes around my area as well.

I bought these trainers last minute as we were going for a good hike in the peaks. I didn't have time to wear them in and took the chance! They caused me absolutely no issues at all, they were comfortable, grippy and well fitting. They are so lightweight so the going was pretty good and they are flexible which means they are great on all terrain. I thought I'd hate the colours, I'm not very pink! But I love it. I went up 1/2 a size to allow for thicker socks and general foot movement, it was the right thing to do. Overall a great buy.

I usually worn US 6.5 and felt like wearing Size US 5.5 Tried walking a few time indoor to tolerate eabd hoping to break it but poor heels cushioning and cutting for inner top cover were rough against top of the ankle. Was looking forward for the footwear protection with my customed made orthothic but the tight cutting is just not an ideal footwear for a small built person at all. I guess make from Vietnam is not according to international sizing standards. Poor inner cushioning in comparisons to Brooks and New Balance. Really disappointed.
These trainers are fantastic - really lightweight, very padded and super comfortable. I bought them because I love the colours and they are much cooler than most walking shoes. I have wide feet and ket to my normal size based on other reviews and they fit me perfectly - I am a 7 - so they may come up large if you have narrower feet. I love them!
They are very light and more like a runner than a hiking shoe but so far so good. I've worn them perhaps five times, for light walks and one in the bush and no breaking in has been required. They have great grip. I've subjected them to some damp, long grass and they were dry as a bone afterwards and I'm really pleased with their appearance. My only observation is that the back heel feels quite light as well and I feel I will have to take care to undo the shoelaces wide in order not to weaken the shoes long term. But all in all a good shoe for the price and I'm happy with my purchase.
I'm a little disappointed with these after wearing Merrell forever . Way to big despite always a 10. Swapped over to 9.5 but still to big. Not as comfortable as usual. The waterproof is good though. Too late to return again as worn. Snowys were fantastic in accommodating the swap despite not policy on clearance. I truly am happy with them helping me out as would not of been able to wear the 10s. Will wear thick socks and insoles on these to help. I'll still purchase Merrels and shop with snowys like always though. Still think a great brand and quality in general.
It's a Merrell shoe so it can't be too bad, and pleasingly it's not made in china, which is yet another reason why I like Merrell shoes.Unfortunately in my particular case, I found this shoe to be too small and too narrow. I'm normally a Size 10.5, so I got a Size 11, and found that it was almost too short, and uncomfortably narrow. The cut was also a bit low at the back so my foot wasn't held in place as well as it could have been, given that I wear orthotics. In the end I returned my pair, and while a Size 11.5 or 12 would have been good for me, I ended up going for the MOAB 2 as a replacement.Nevertheless, it's a good shoe, looks nice, and my only suggestion would be to get one size bigger than you normally get, especially if you have wide feet, or you have ... MoreIt's a Merrell shoe so it can't be too bad, and pleasingly it's not made in china, which is yet another reason why I like Merrell shoes.Unfortunately in my particular case, I found this shoe to be too small and too narrow. These trainers were to replace a previous pair of Merrell Gore-Tex shoes and were received promptly after ordering. However, when trying on the first shoe, one of the lace loops detached on tightening (I'm not that strong!). The end was frayed, and I think just hadn't been stitched in properly. I really liked them, and they fitted well, but I'm reluctant to try again. The refund from Sweaty Betty was fast and easy.
I wanted to love these, but I regret buying them. They fit true to size, though maybe a bit narrow for a wide width. However, there's very little arch support, so my feet start hurting after walking for 30 minutes. The top of the heel in the rear digs into the back of my foot when I drive; after four hours, I couldn't wait to take them off. They are also surprisingly HOT. My feet tend to be cold, so I don't mind some warmth, but my feet bake in these shoes, even when it's cold outside. The laces mostly stay tied without double knotting, which is good because they're so short I don't think I could double knot them. I like the way they look, but I think I'll go back to wearing the old Oboz these replaced and use these expensive shoes for yard work.
