No breaking into these shoes, lightweight and comfy. Put them to the test through muddy tracks (uphill and downhill), good grip and no slipping.
First couple of wears and they fit well, nice & light, yet to prove them on inclines & wet weather. But quite comfy.
I hesitated to order online but picked the same size as my 2 yr old slip-on Merrell boots with Vibram soles. The shoes arrived in 48 hours and the fit is perfect with a comfortably wide and deep toe box. I love the bright colours and the Vibram soles give me confidence walking in early winter conditions.
Love the shoe and it's colors. First hike was eight miles with nearly 900 feet of elevation. The treads gripped the limestone rocks without issue and I never felt like my foot could lose traction. The shoes are very light, compared to my old ones.I do recommend trashing the insoles and getting something beefier. The supplied insoles barely count as insoles. Basically almost paper thin foam. I traded those for some Superfeet ones and am very happy counting mile after mile now.
Comfortable fit. Light weight with nice cushioning. Great tread for day hikes.
This is my fourth pair of this shoe. I buy a new pair each summer. I walk for miles in the suburbs and have no issue. I hike up north with these same shoes. Love them! Run true to size. No pinching. No rubbing. Great support. I have very high arches. I am retired. I wear a size 7. I keep my old ones for occasional wear.
Very confortable shoes, I am wearing them all the time. This is my second purchase at Merrell, and for the second time I am so happy with the quality of their product.
I purchased these at half price earlier this year for use in the spring. My job requires walking 20 kms daily on different terrains and in all kinds of weather, so I need durable shoes that can take moderate abuse. That's why I chose Merrell.After only 1 month (4 work weeks!) of use, I have had several problems. For one, once the soles got wet, which was pretty much immediately, they no longer adhered to the shoe. They began to bunch up and slip, and I had to replace them.Secondly, there is already a rip in the material on the top of the left shoe, near the baby toe area. This is simply from the shoe getting wet and dried repeatedly, wear and tear.I expected a lot more from Merrell. I have been doing this same work for over 20 years, and have been though many ... I haven't had the shoes for long, but so far so good. The tread is excellent, they are super lightweight, excellent value and most importantly, I love the orange colourway. Fingers crossed that they hold up well with time!
